The original place that we were going to go for breakfast was closed and this was the closest place before renting bikes and venturing out for the day. This place is very expensive for the quality of the food. The service is really nice and everyone is very friendly and are willing to suggest some places around to rent bikes. If you have read my reviews, I am very honest and I will say I could have probably made a better breakfast at home so that was disappointing. I asked for cheesy eggs and just got regular scrambled eggs along with potatoes and bacon, which the bacon smelled burnt, I didn't actually have it. I wasn't very impressed. However it did fill me for the breakfast. The ambience is very small and only a few tables are available. Not many people come in here and I can definitely say that he would be a last resort. I did upload a menu so you can see for yourselves.

Our first time in Anchorage and with every new location we visit the goal is to try local restaurants like this one, and it didn't disappoint. Set in an older building, looks like an old dinner with the old 50's style barstools and such. It has the old greasy spoon kitchen behind the counter (this is a compliment, not an insult) and you can smell the various blends of foods cooking. We stopped for breakfast and it was good. We both had omelets, with no cheese, and they were good. The potato cubes (hash browns) were really tasty. Bacon was yummy. Considering the higher prices for most places in Alaska, this one wasn't to badly priced. Staff when we ordered was patient and smiled. Tho this is pretty much the extent of any interaction, as they don't circle the tables asking if anyone needs anything, it's an order and sit. Kitchen staff brings the food. After than, your on your own. I would definitely recommend a stop for the food and atmosphere.

This is their breakfast burrito. So good.

We had breakfast here one morning during our stay in Anchorage. The place has great service, seating indoor and a couple tables outside. We got French Toast + 2 eggs and added a Reindeer sausage, and California omelet. The food as simple and well made, very satisfying. I loved the French toast, it had the right amount of sweetness. The reindeer sausage was good, my first time trying it. California omelet was great, all fresh ingredients, we substituted hash browns with tomato.

I didn't realize this named burger came with an egg but it was a pleasant surprise. Kind of the ultimate meat lovers brunch :-)

Good food, reasonable price, excellent service. Though the exterior and interior are not fancy, it is very clean. You order at the counter and service was immediate. The crew was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed everything we ordered and the food was exactly what we were looking for. This is not fine dining but if you are looking for a solid & tasty breakfast or lunch this is a great place to get exactly that. Completely different clientele then some bigger name places close by. This is downtown and we saw a lot of people working in the government buildings or other shops ducking in to grab a coffee or some breakfast. Very much more of a local place with minimal tourists or pretence.

I'll be honest, I only tried this place because Snow City had a 2 hour wait - but I'm glad I did. It's no frills, but super good food. You order at the counter and then they bring your food out. The menu board was beautifully designed. We tried pancakes and the Alaska omelet. The omelet was huge and really tasty. If I was a local I could see this becoming my 'go-to' breakfast spot.

Well this little corner restaurant is absolutely amazing! I feel like this place has one of the best customer service. Right before closing usually restaurants turn you right away but definitely not this one. For my first time being here in surprised I haven't been here sooner. Ended up ordering the biscuits and gravy and let me tell you they do not short you on the gravy. The gravy is a well balance ratio as there should be more sausage then gravy. The biscuits that it came with were perfectly moist and light. I feel like this place needs a bit more local hype than the place down the street. Overall great experience here, very friendly staff and pretty great food as well. Definitely will be back for brunch.

My go to is the Jalapeño Business / veggie delight. This place is busy no matter what time and day you come, so prepare to wait if you hit peak hours. But on the upside - the beers are great too and fast to arrive, so you won't be thirsty while waiting. Noise level is usually low for being so busy, but it may depend on where you end up getting seated. Nice airy feel to the place, decorated in a style that I guess can only be described as...Alaskan? ‍ And yes, even if you stay downtown the drive over here is worth it.

After this experience I'm done recommending it. They really missed the mark. For starters we got my husband's usual Chipotle steak pizza. Right off the bat I notice it's a weird oval kind of shape. It's not a circle and the pieces don't add up. I'm positive that the someone in the kitchen sliced out the middle the pizza and put it in the box like it wouldn't be noticed. Worst of all. I ordered a pound of their Korean style wings. I usually love these. I thought initially that these are so tiny it's a good thing it's by the weight, not quantity. Well. These were not fit for consumption. I managed to eat two wings that were on the crunchy side. The rest were unfit for consumption. We're talking chicken wing jerky. A bite cracks right through the bone, crunchy marrow, dry translucent meat. What a disappointment. This wouldn't even be something you could feed a dog. So bad. This experience was the worst I've had with Moose's Tooth. It was so disappointing and also weird. Do better.

I was really hungry so I got there right when they opened at 11 a.m. I was able to be seated immediately and opted to sit upstairs where the tables were lower as compared to downstairs where the tables were high tops. Off the bat the food is phenomenal. For starters I got their popular handmade Bavarian pretzel. It was perfectly seasoned with butter and salt and the pretzel itself was soft and fluffy. It came with a side of cheese which was just as tasty. I was a little nervous it would taste like the melted cheese you eat at an amusement park- but this cheese had fantastic quality. One really neat thing about this brewery is they make their own fountain drinks! I tried the raspberry one and as you can see they aren't shy about the portions! The drink was really good. It had a great flavor to it, and a nice balance. The raspberry wasn't overpowering which I'm grateful for. For my entree I had the Yak burger that came with a side of tater tots. My waiter recommended I get it cooked at medium to keep it juicy. Typically I'm a medium well to well done type of girl, but I decided to trust his judgement and he was right! The burger was huge, messy, and delicious. The medium was definitely a good call. It was juicy but not so red where it would be off putting! Overall, I had a really incredible dining experience at 49th state brewing. And the prices were unbelievably reasonable. My meal came out to about $52 (not including my tip). I would love to come back when it's a bit warmer and sit outside- the views from the restaurant are phenomenal. Also, shout out to my waiter! Seating is made up of booths along the window perimeter, tables thru the middle area and a large bar area with more tables and stools along the counter. The menu selection is surprisingly diverse. I was happy to see halibut as the fish for their fish & chips, as it is often cod or other white fish. I find halibut to be the best. They also have a few dishes with nods to Korean and Thai flavors. There are pizzas and dinner salads too. I went with their bacon jam burger for dinner. It is cooked to your liking and has a grilled apple, cambozola, bacon jam, arugula & house mayo. This is the best burger I've had in a long time. The flavors complement each other so well. If you are a fan of bleu cheese you will really love the cambozola. It is creamy and oozy and is amazing on a burger. My spouse tried their Cuban sandwich and didn't like that the pickles were mediocre and didn't add to the overall flavors, and that the bread wasn't crisped or toasted in any way -- the way Cubans traditionally are. He also took a chance with a appetizer off the specials menu which he imaged was Brussels sprouts however it was shaved sautéed Brussels sprout leaves, over warm couscous with lots of fresh herbs, jalapeños, and heavily spiced with bold spices like fennel. It was bizarre and not like anything we've ever tried. We liked some of the flavors but all together didn't make sense to us so we sent it back, unfortunately. Our child tried the Mac and cheese that came with purple grapes and sorbet. The Mac and cheese was good although I'd advise SRH to try a larger noodle than a small shell so kids can stab it better and get it in their little mouths. The sorbet must be seasonal/rotating bc it was cinnamon honey pear and it was crazy delicious. I'd come back for just the sorbet tbh. Other than that our red-haired bespectacled server was fairly attentive and quite friendly, even on a very busy Friday dinner rush. Parking lot just outside seems easy enough as long as you can grab a spot at busy times. Will be back in the future for the fried halibut (and sorbet!).
