The box was completely crushed and the shoes had clearly been worn and returned. We went to the local FF location in Gilbert. The clerk could not have been kinder or more helpful. She apologized and said that quite a few customers have had similar experiences with items shipped from the warehouse and she wasn't sure what the problem was. We've had great luck with shoes we purchased in stock at FF. I just won't order anything to be shipped in the future. It sounds like it's convenient, but it ended up being a hassle and we never got the shoes we wanted bc they didn't actually have any new ones in stock I guess. We ended up having to order them from the Birkenstock website after all. Definitely not the end of the world, but Kind of a bummer. ---- Not much of a selection. We found a style of shoes my daughter wanted but they hardly had any sizes in stock. We had to get the right size shipped to our house. They normally offer a veterans discount but they won't do it if they have to ship them to you. It's not expected of course, but they have a large sign that they participate in the veterans discount but bc their inventory was so limited, we couldn't use it. However, one co-worker of Cole's, I caught a vibe, no customer should see or hear. Someone with colored hair was telling him off on a size, when she had not a clue what was going on. Rather than the salesperson double talk try this instead: "We charge to alter the suit when you buy it but any future alterations are free." I went to the one on Indian Bend instead where Gabi sold me a suit that was twice as expensive but I left HAPPY because she was forthright. Caveat: Me my hearing is really bad so it's possible I misunderstood the first clerk who actually was very friendly and helpful - I just felt like I was getting "sold" on the alterations which clearly rubbed me the wrong way.

I approached Chase and greeted me looking sharp and professional, exactly what you'd expect from someone in his role. Without any hesitation, he jumped right in to help .. even after I admitted I was completely lost. He walked me through where the jackets, shared his impressive knowledge of the products, and guided me through long sleeves, pants, and even suggested the right shoes to complete the look. This guy went above and beyond. He turned what could have been a stressful experience into a genuinely enjoyable one. Chase absolutely deserves a raise or some serious recognition. I was able to find my Mom mask and myself a cell phone holder so, it wasn't a wasted trip. The staff were fun and very helpful.
