The Salsa location in Anna is better. Ordered the cheese enchiladas with steak on top. The steak was charred to a crisp..almost to jerky. The rest of the plate was good. Hub ordered steak fajitas and he said his meat was overcooked. Service was good, but our food order took too long in my opinion. During Covid, they aren't honoring happy hour. Weird. read more

Absolutely love this place! The patio is the best place to sit. Anyway, the service is phenomenal! The salsa and white queso are delicious. I have to always get the brisket quesadillas because they are the best but the beef chimichanga my husband always gets is delicious too. Hands down they are my favorite frozen margarita! Worst service ever. Once we were seated, no one came up to us for 10 mins. Once we got our drinks our waiter (Ernesto) disappeared for 15 mins... another waiter noticed our empty glasses, refilled them for us, and took our food order. Our food took forever and it wasn't even busy. Our waiter never came back to check on us after dropping off the food... he didn't return until we were done and ready for the check. Thank goodness we left cash or we would've waited forever for him to come back and take our card... he never came back. We always have great service. The meltdown margaritas are the best. The food is consistent. We love that the owner comes and visits with us. He remembers our girls from when they were tiny babies and we visited the Frisco location. I personally love the ENCHILADAS TEJANAS which is two cheese enchiladas topped with steak fajitas and pico de gallo. We sometimes get the churros with ice cream for dessert. Love this place! We used to go to the Frisco location regularly. Everything is great tasting and served in a reasonable amount of time. The thing that sets it apart from other restaurants in the area is the service. The manager always recognizes us and comes to say hello, even if we haven't dined here in a while! If you haven't tried this place. Put it on the list. Lunch fajitas on a Wednesday. Pricing was good, quality and quantity was on point. Fajita, beef was thick slab cut and a great smoked flavor. The set ups were generous and the the three salsas with the chips blew me away. Not even a supper, but for a lunch setting. Will be back on the next trip up this way. read more

Not Pleased with Service Tonight (05/25/21) may wife & I went to Salsa TexMex Restaurant in Prosper for dinner. We arrived at 7:30 pm & had a short wait for a table inside. As the hostess was seating us we noticed the table had not been wiped down and had drink rings on it. The hostess went and got a wet rag & returned to wipe the table down. Once seated the waitress came & took our drink order. Then I sat my hand down on my side of the table there was something very sticky. When the chip & salsa guy came, we told him & he immediately went & got a rag & came back & cleaned the table for us. The waitress came back & took our order. My wife ordered a salad & asked the waitress to give her salsa as dressing with her meal. I order a dish & asked to have onions on top with charro beans. Our meal was delivered by a food runner. My wife said "Sir, I had asked the waitress to bring me salsa to be use as the dressing" and the food runner said "the waitress will be here in a minute" and he walked away. We were shocked. Besides needing the salsa, the cook had failed to put onions on my order, I needed a spoon for the charro beans & my iced tea glass was empty. So we sat there and waited. We watched from across the dining room as our waitress continued to greet table after table taking their drink orders. Finally, after close to ten minutes of sitting & waiting my wife saw our waitress towards the back by the kitchen. My wife walked back there & was telling the waitress how long we had been waiting on her & the needed items. The waitress just pointed and said that's the manager & walked away. My wife said that's it, we are leaving. My wife explained to the Hispanic lady manager our concerns & how long we had been waiting & all the manager could say was "I'm sorry, I'm sorry". She never once said let me take care of you myself, let me get you another waitress or let's get you taken care of right now. Nothing but "I'm sorry". So my wife said we are leaving & we will not be back & all the manager could say was "I'm sorry". So we left. If this is the norm for this restaurant I can see why they had so many open tables & not to say anything bad about this business but if this is the way the waitress, the food runner & the manager treat their patrons we don't want to do business there. read more

We were out and about in our normal weekend exploration with no destination and found this little place. We always bring our daughter dog Lola wherever we go and as such our sit-down dining options are limited; luckily we found this place who had no issue with us bringing in our service daughterdog and sat on the patio. Being we were also celebrating Mother's Day the place was full and everyone was very gracious in their welcoming of mothers and identified them all with warm welcome and their own Mothers Day balloons. We are regulars and are there At least once a week. We've had some good service and some bad throughout our years of going there, but this time was my last straw. Our waitress was not great, had to ask for refills, chips, etc multiple times, she spilt water down the back of our friend that was with us. We finished our food and while we were finishing our drinks, we paid our bills. The waitress came to pick up the paid checks while we were still sitting at the table. She proceeded to come back to our table telling us how sorry she was for her service. We said she was ok, and she walked off. She then came back a second time and harassed my family and our friends complaining about how we tipped her. I have never experienced something so unprofessional. I will not be returning for a very long time. That behavior is not ok. read more
