We have been at Mi Luna several times over the past three years and service has been consistently good, We have also ordered take out a couple of times and we were very happy with our dinner. The food is great, the interior is clean and cozy and the service is wonderful. Portions are so generous, we always leave with leftovers for lunch the next day. Found this joint on yelp when looking for a new spot to try for cinco de mayo - and it's the best Tex-Mex I've had in a really long time. Even with a packed house (seating indoors/at the bar/on the outdoor patio), service was quick, and friendly. It feels like the neighborhood spot to go to, and staff make it a really enjoyable experience. The food and drinks were impressive. We ordered house margaritas, 1 spicy pineapple marg, 1 'Paul', 1 'Victor's', and 2 flan. We had no complaints! Everything tasted fresh and had really great flavors. Been here to many times. Always a good experience food and customer. The place is also awesome. Great place to sit at the bar, great place to watch sports while you eat. We've had salmon, chicken soup, fajitas, enchiladas de Mole, and my favorite the two bite tacos . We've had different waiters and waitresses everyone is professional. They all work hard. So tip them fairly. I've noticed in the past one waiter take care of a big party of 8 or 10 people. Once they were done you can tell they were in a hurry to leave. I guess it was a game between them??? Lastly person to leave leaves the tip. He left $5. REALLY??? I was there before them and after. They were pretty demanding and needy. The waiter was professional from start to finish. Sad to see the customer only leave $5. The kicker. The waiter wasn't mad. I was mad for him. Awesome time here with a large group. The staff were super friendly and helpful with navigating the menu and also making the space more comfortable with re-arranging the table for us. We all ordered a variety of items off the menu and they all came visually appealing and delicious! There is a private parking lot as well as bathroom for all patrons. Tried this spot out for the first time after driving by it for several years, and it didn't disappoint. Simple, casual atmosphere on the inside; this is your classic mom and pop Tex mex place. Tex Mex is not great in the DFW area. This is one of the better ones we have had. In San Antonio this would be a two star but in Dallas it gets a 3-4 star rating. Food and service was great. They served individual beans and salsa with the chips to avoid any potential fights. I had the Carmen plate and my wife had the birria tacos. My favorite dishes so far are the Ceviche Tropical, with a generous portion and just enough sweetness from the mango. Guiso Cantu, spicy salsa ranchera sauce is amazing, not too spicy, just very flavorful, and the beef is so tender. We have eaten here many times and the food is always delicious, the nachos are delicious, the pollo con hongos is very fulfilling and yummy, the mole is authentic Mexican mole. If you like your salsa a bit spicier, ask for the green spicy salsa, it is yummy and spicier. Went for happy hour and man by dinner time this place was poppin!! Happy hour on Friday is from 10-6p and drinks are half price! I enjoyed sitting on the patio, it was nice. I had shrimp tacos with a strawberry/mango margarita and Dos X-loved my dinner including the chips/salsa and beans. Me and my mom went here after our hair appointment, our hair dresser recommended it and she raved about the salsa. We arrived and were seated immediately at a booth. We've been wanting to try this place out for a few years! It's right off 380 and it's absolutely delicious. I love when Mexican places give you fresh cold salsa and beans with chips. Then we ordered queso, it was a lot for us two we didn't finish it but very delicious. The owner was so nice and seated us! I love that he was very hands on! Love this place! Service was spot on. Drinks were top shelf. Food was perfection. We had Joes Steak and Jalapeño grill Fajitas. Ordered them medium rare and that is EXACTLY how they came out! I am gluten sensitive and they answered all my questions- no soy sauce in marinades! The table side guacamole was on point. Didn't need more salt or lime. That never happens.
