This was excellent food! The portions are huge.. we over ordered however we were happy to package some of it up in to go boxes for this evening. We ordered Pastor nachos and chicken and beef tacos with rice and beans. The service is friendly and attentive. The ambience is small clean and accommodating.

Amazing breakfast burritos!! The California Breakfast burrito especially but really all 4 breakfast burritos are delicious! Muchas gracias! Staff is very kind, and genuinely warm/ inviting. The decor and art on the walls are pretty cool too.

Emelia's breakfast torta with chorizo and no onions

We looooove this place's tortas!! There is so much flavor packed in this sandwich for a good price. It really is the perfect portion size too for those that can eat (like me). The salsa was sooo good, I love the green one but wish it was a bit spicier. The staff is always so friendly and quick service. Will always be back!

Emelia's has been around in The Colony for more than a decade and has been representing its Tex Mex scene. It has even gone under renovation over the years and is better now than ever. They have a mix of real Mex and Tex Mex options such as tamales, menudo, street tacos, Tex Mex tacos, you name it. I also love when casual restaurants like this serve margaritas and beer flights. (4/5) Chimichanga (Ground Beef) Giant deep fried flour tortilla stuffed with rice, cheese, and choice of meat and covered with queso They stuffed it with a lot of meat and I liked the texture of the rice. (4.5/5) Mango Frozen Margarita They have two choice of frozen margaritas, mango or regular. You can get Chamoy and tajin added as well. Not too strong, not too weak, I'd say it was perfect!

Chicken fajitas

In town for business and my boss wanted Mexican food. Searched all the reviews in the area near us and this one came highly recommended! It's a small location where you order your food and then choose your own seat. The service was super friendly though the entire time and they have a very extensive menu. My boss went with the Carne Asada plate. And said that the meat was super tender and really good seasoning on it. I opted for the chicken fajitas and they were amazing! Chicken was nice and seasoned with grilled onions and peppers and shockingly potato slices that were perfectly seasoned. I opted to go with corn tortillas, but you do have the option of flour tortillas as well. We also tried their guacamole and it was amazing. It is a little bit of a smaller portion, but it was plenty for just the two of us. Overall, really love the authentic flavors that you get from this location and the fact that you're supporting a mom and pop business.

Carne Asada Plate and Nachos Fernando Style (no jalapeños)

We had the Nachos Fernando Style and the Carne Asada Plate for lunch. The food was very plentiful and tasty! We've been here a couple times before and enjoyed the food. The service is also great and the people friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Street tacos: - Pork - Carnitas - Brisket - Steak

Have been looking for street tacos as I'm new to the area (Little Elm). Decided to drive a little further after seeing some pictures. Well worth it! I ended up getting 4 street tacos; Pork, Carnitas, Brisket, and Steak. They were amazing! Pork was for sure the best in my opinion. I also got the chips & queso and would probably pass on the queso next time (nothing comes close to Torchy's). However, I will definitely be back to get these tacos again! P.s. Very clean and welcoming staff.

I have been an Emelia's fan since way back when- it's been a hot minute since I've visited but I had a giant craving for street tacos with the mere mention of them- I knew just the place. Scooted on down to Emelia's, and wow, they had really opened up the place- lots more room for seating. Food: I ordered the small queso for $3.99, I was a hit disappointed in the size. I thought maybe it would be in a to go soup container but this container tiny. Just a bit larger than the to go salsa container. Delicious flavor, disappointing size for $3.99 I also wanted to try the appetizer platter- BIG WIN! Quesadilla- amazing flavor, burrito- crispy and cheesy and savory. Flauta- too crispy and not enough filling. Beef nacho and chicken nacho- very tasty and seasoned well! It comes with a little dollop of sour cream and guacamole Had to try the street tacos- that's why I went in- I ordered a chicken and beef but I they must not have heard me correctly- I received a shrimp and chicken- good thing I don't have any allergies or that could have been bad news- both really fantastic! Both tacos were filled with all the good stuff. Loved the crispy crust and crunch of the taco Overall I love this place, really reasonable prices & portions. I am very pleased. I'll be back sooner than later.

This is an absolutely awesome place!!! The roof is outstanding. Everything is very fresh. I had the cheese enchiladas with grilled chicken on to. The chicken was tender and full of flavor. The enchiladas were made with white cheese and the chili sauce was excellent. The rice and beans were also top notch. The staff was friendly

Food seems over salty and the steak very tough. It used to be my favorite but not sure what has changed.

Not sure what everyone's raving about. It's the driest saltiest street tacos I've ever had. Quality was pretty poor all the way around.

We don't make it in person as often as we'd like, but we order delivery almost every single weekend--and seriously, we couldn't live without it!! The pozole is the reason. It is absolutely divine. I genuinely dream about it during the week, counting down until the weekend because that's the only time they serve it. The meat is unbelievably tender--melt‑in‑your‑mouth tender--and the flavor is rich, comforting, and deeply satisfying. It's one of those dishes that sticks with you long after the bowl is empty. Everything else is consistently excellent too. The guacamole is always fresh and delicious. All of their salsas are vibrant, fresh, and full of flavor, and you can really taste the quality. Their chips and tortillas are also fresh and delicious, which makes such a difference and really rounds out the whole meal. When we do go to the restaurant in person, the experience is just as good. The servers are always helpful and friendly, the bar is great, and while the atmosphere may not be over‑the‑top fancy, it's comfortable, welcoming, and always very clean, which we really appreciate. Calles de Mexico is one of those rare places that's incredibly consistent over the years. Whether you're dining in or ordering delivery, they never disappoint. And if you're lucky enough to catch them on the weekend--do not miss the pozole!!

After a long flight, I was exhausted and starving. I searched for nearby restaurants and stumbled…read moreupon this absolute gem--Calles de Mexico. Don't let the very basic setup fool you. What this place lacks in ambience, it more than makes up for in flavor. We ordered both the Taco Tex (Chicken Tinga, Al Pastor, Spicy Chicken) and Taco Mex (Al Pastor, Chicken Tinga, Spicy Chicken), along with fries and a Michelada. The tacos were truly out of this world--perfectly spicy, incredibly flavorful, and packed with juicy, well-seasoned meat. Each variety had its own distinct taste, and everything felt fresh and authentic. We loaded them up with the sauces available at the table, and that just elevated the flavors to the next level. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned--simple but done right. My husband really enjoyed the Michelada as well; it paired perfectly with the tacos. If you're looking for great Mexican street-style tacos, this place absolutely delivers. I only wish I had more time in Dallas to go back for another round, because this spot definitely left us wanting more.

It's hard to get reservations same day, so it's best that you do it at least a day ahead and they get booked up quick! This trip we got all different entrees, everything is great here! But I will say that you HAVE to get the table side guac service! They put BACON in it and always bring a couple bucks to give to the nice attendant for preparing your fresh guac Some of my other favorites are the sopes, the carne asada and tacos are never a miss. I will say this time around we were disappointed with the shrimp tacos, it was 4 tiny tacos with 1 shrimp per taco :-/ so maybe try it if you don't have the same appetite of a 15yo growing teenage boy lol Restaurant of course is very nice and always clean. Parking gets tricky, but there's valet if you're not the walking type ;) Ps. Drinks are phenomenal. Their prickly pear Margs is an absolute go-to!

Extremely disappointing experience at Mia Dia in Plano. Our group was diverse, and the overall…read moreservice and handling of our table were unacceptable. The vegetarian options were also very limited, with only about three dishes on the entire menu. My vegetarian enchiladas were served incorrectly twice, first with meat sauce, then with an entirely wrong preparation. It took three attempts and manager involvement to correct a basic order. By that point, I had lost my appetite. Service throughout the meal was poor. We had to request water three separate times, which reflects a lack of attentiveness. The most concerning issue was being charged $1.50 for pico de gallo that was provided while correcting their own mistake, despite being told it would be taken care of. This reflects a clear lack of professionalism, accountability, and customer care. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant.
