So if you're on the west side of Frisco, head down to the Colony and grab them. We've tried them all - bacon and sausage are my fav but my wife likes the chorizo and potatoes. Love their pico too! After a long weekend of moving and unpacking boxes, I googled this place and ordered some breakfast tacos to go. They were excellent, both my partner and I loved them, she devoured 2 tacos like it was nothing and she's not what you would consider a "big eater. In town for business and my boss wanted Mexican food. Searched all the reviews in the area near us and this one came highly recommended! It's a small location where you order your food and then choose your own seat. The service was super friendly though the entire time and they have a very extensive menu. My boss went with the Carne Asada plate. And said that the meat was super tender and really good seasoning on it. I opted for the chicken fajitas and they were amazing! Chicken was nice and seasoned with grilled onions and peppers and shockingly potato slices that were perfectly seasoned. I opted to go with corn tortillas, but you do have the option of flour tortillas as well. We also tried their guacamole and it was amazing. It is a little bit of a smaller portion, but it was plenty for just the two of us. Have been looking for street tacos as I'm new to the area (Little Elm). Decided to drive a little further after seeing some pictures. Well worth it! I ended up getting 4 street tacos; Pork, Carnitas, Brisket, and Steak. They were amazing! Pork was for sure the best in my opinion. I also got the chips & queso and would probably pass on the queso next time (nothing comes close to Torchy's). However, I will definitely be back to get these tacos again! P.s. I thought maybe it would be in a to go soup container but this container tiny. Just a bit larger than the to go salsa container. Delicious flavor, disappointing size for $3.99 I also wanted to try the appetizer platter- BIG WIN! Quesadilla- amazing flavor, burrito- crispy and cheesy and savory. Flauta- too crispy and not enough filling. Beef nacho and chicken nacho- very tasty and seasoned well! It comes with a little dollop of sour cream and guacamole Had to try the street tacos- that's why I went in- I ordered a chicken and beef but I they must not have heard me correctly- I received a shrimp and chicken- good thing I don't have any allergies or that could have been bad news- both really fantastic! Both tacos were filled with all the good stuff. Loved the crispy crust and crunch of the taco Overall I love this place, really reasonable prices & portions. I am very pleased. Seating is plentiful and table tops are clean. You enter and order at the register - you'll then get a number and go to any table you'd like that's available. The tacos (about $2.25 each) were to die for and well stocked with the meats that you ordered. You get some limes on the side and 2 sauces (red and green). Emelia's is a solid place for some quick service burritos and tacos. For lunch, my wife and I tried the one-pound chicken burrito and some street tacos (two briskets and one al pastor). The chicken burrito was very filling; there was a good amount of beans, rice, and lettuce. Overall, it was decent but it would have been better, both in taste and in its appeal, had the tortilla been heated longer and browned more. The beef/pork in the street tacos were nicely seasoned and flavorful. The brisket was the better of the two. There was a decent amount of oil that had soaked up the tortillas in the beef tacos by the time we ate them at home but we enjoyed them anyway. Let's start with positives, the service was good, food came out quickly and everything was correct/warm. But sadly not a lot of flavor. We went out of our way to come here because it was highly reviewed. My wife got the street tacos, I got a burrito. The soup was the chicken tortilla soup was best thing we got. Don't order the queso it's just nacho cheese dip. If I went back maybe the fajitas would get a try but with so many options, it just was sub par based off the review. Overall fine, if you like it, great and it might be for some but I'm always looking for THE food spot. Saturday night at 6p and there was almost no one there.... I almost left but wanted to stick it out since it seems like they could do a lot of takeout volume. It's got plenty of space inside but it's a narrow bay in a shopping strip and seems small until you go a bit deeper into the restaurant. Overall if it's nearby, you might could checkout the fajitas if that's your thing, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.
