My daughter was getting her hair done by Suzanne for a while, I never liked her attitude but my daughter put up with her because she knew how to manage her thick hair. But for winter formal, Suzanne canceled with my daughter last minute and referred us to Lubna saying that she trusted her work. Lubna not only messed up my daughter's hair completely, (she was crying when I picked her up, her hair was a mixture of fuzzy and flat) she also charged us outrageously high!! It came out to $120 with tip for just a simple styling. I was so upset, tried to take it to Suzanne to relay what happened, her attitude was extremely dismissive, disrespectful, she didn't own the fact that it was her referral and she was acting like a mad teenager not like a business owner dealing with a client. This review is specifically about the hair stylist Meghan because each stylist is independent at the salon. She came recommended to me as a curly hair specialist, and because my hair was virgin to hair dye I did not want my curls to be damaged. Meghan was very nice and friendly and I don't like leaving bad reviews because I feel mean, but for the amount of money I paid, the condition of my hair is simply not okay. I asked for the entirety of my hair to be dyed a much lighter auburn brown and for lighter strands of highlight to be blended into it. I showed pictures which demonstrated what I was looking for and specifically said: I don't want blonde highlights over my very dark brown, because the contrast will be too much and in general I didn't want blonde. During the process I saw that she was setting up chunky highlights and I asked her multiple times, will you dye the whole hair lighter as I asked, and she assured me that yes she would. After the first wash out I said the highlights looked too blonde and the natural brown in my hair wasn't lightened at all, but she just said to wait for the toner. I wait for the toner and as it washes out once again I tell her it looks too blonde, and the whole hair is still my natural dark color. She says that that's because it's wet and to wait for her to style it. Mind you that I'm getting charged $100 the hour and she takes another hour just styling it and I can still tell it's not what I asked for. Once again I tell her it's not correct but instead of fixing it while I was there, she just says give it a few days to grow on you. I just decided to leave at that point because I didn't want to be charged any longer, but I knew it wasn't correct. She gave me exactly what I said I did not want: un-blended blonde highlights over my natural dark hair. I did give it a few weeks before writing this review, tried multiple hair styles, and even messaged her that I was unhappy with the product. All she said was that she could tone the color out of my hair for more money. Meghan was nice but if she had listened to my concerns during the process, or just done my hair the way I requested to begin with there would be no issue. As a college student I don't have much money and I shouldn't have to pay over $400 to fix a mistake that was made by the stylist when I was clear to begin with. Not only was the hair not the color I asked but it is pretty much dead. My curls won't hold anymore and it just lies flat, and that was the exact thing I tried to avoid by going to a professional stylist. Even if I asked for blonde highlights, the application and icky yellow result is still not worth the $400 that I paid. When you leave a salon you should feel beautiful and like a brand new person, but ever since I left Salon Lujon I've felt nothing but insecure and regret. Maybe Meghan would be good for giving a curly hair cut but if you're looking to dye your hair I hope you don't make the same mistake that I did, because I basically paid for my hair to be damaged and not even the color I asked for. Now I have to spend more money that I don't have to repair my hair and remove the dye, extremely disappointed. read more

I've been going to Salon Lujon for over 3 years now, for occasional blow dries. The staff has always been extremely accommodating in scheduling with a stylist that was available, until I found my personal favorite in the Salon, Mihaela. I've been seeing her for a year and a half for blow dried and she recently took my on as a permanent client for color services. Her scheduling and availability has been so nice and flexible with my schedule, and her work is outstanding. The salon staff is always so welcoming and friendly while checking in, along with providing a clean environment. Vanessa Rosillo saved my hair, my confidence and my wedding. I made the mistake of going to a colorist I didnt know who DESTROYED MY VIRGIN HAIR 5 days before my wedding. I asked the stylist for a warm balayage, but instead I was left with a deep-fried nightmare that honestly broke my heart, I sobbed on and off for 2 days....i was thankfully able to get my money back and went straight to Vanessa for first aid! The damage was so extensive, unfortunately Vanessa had to chop off several inches of burnt hair, but thankfully I had inches to spare (I had accepted the possibility of cropping the entire length because the other woman had bleached it so close to my scalp. 3 inches was a relief). Vanessa not only repaired my confidence, but she brought my hair back from the brink of death. It was LITERALLY FALLING OFF AT A TOUCH OF A HAND, but she stayed by my side until 1030pm to ensure that every last strand of hair was healed and expertly toned to perfection. Although all hair stylists are independent contractors at this salon, Salon Lujon has a really bad and unfair business practice of letting it's clients book mutiple hair appointments up to a year out and are encouraged to do so. Thus hoarding and hogging up all the available appointments, leaving clients like myself alienated and constantly without. I book out of need and not greed. What use to be a reasonable 2,3 maybe 4 weeks out for next available has now ballooned into over 2 months for next available appointment with my particular stylist, who I have been going to for over 13 years now and the salon for over 20 years now. I was told by Karen at the counter that my stylist being constantly booked up 2 months out is pandemic related. No liar, it's not it's because the same greedy people book all the appointments up to a year out and Salon Lujon let's it happen. While discussing my challenges with Karen, I was told by her that I was yelling at her. After I told her that I never once raised my voice to her. Her reply was "well..." as if she has nothing else to say. Lie number 2. Karen is rude, dim and can not even handle the lightest of criticism without breaking down and hanging the phone up on me. This salon has absolutely no professionalism what so ever. Let alone loyalty and gratitude from the stylist I've been going to for over a decade. A complete brush off by both my stylist and Karen. I was offered another possible stylist who can get me in in the next day or two. But I declined, because no one wants to go to some stranger who has never cut your hair before. Especially if ones hair is all grown out. You also don't know if that substitute stylist is going to cut your hair good or not. Quick availability and the renting of a station does not always add up to good. So excuse me for not wanting to get a cut with some unknown stranger. Would you? Personally, I never found the counter staff to be that entirely friendly or bright. The main reason being that every time I make an appointment and say "thank you", I always get the same reply of "uh-huh" afterwards, no matter the person. I always tried to avoid the counter if I can. In conclusion, this salon focuses way to hard on women that men like myself get alienated and completely blown off by both the counter staff and my stylist when they are lightly confronted about an unfair, poor and sometimes bias business practice. I'm writing this review on behalf of my 86 year old grandmother Virginia, I made her an appointment to get knots removed out of her hair and literally the stylist "Yvonne" was too lazy to do so and cut them all out so she literally has hardly any hair left! Most importantly I asked my grandma how she likes it and she basically said "it is what it is, had to be done I guess" when in reality my husband & I have had similar knots in our hair, and it just takes a lot of time and effort to get them out but they do not necessarily need to be "cut out". As a matter of fact I've gone to a different stylist here for the same reason and yes it did take hours to do and a lot of effort but I appreciate the work he had put in to get my knots that were all stuck together and matted out. Unfortunately that stylist is no longer there. So deceptively as I was speaking on the phone to Yvonne about her getting "the knots" out, she's like "oh I did cut & color & didn't charge for the knots" so then I paid her over the phone before talking to my grandma & seeing the "cut" myself. Well no sh*t you didn't charge for the knots, you cut them all out! So I informed my grandma what had happened and she is very disappointed with this lazy stylist. She likes Diana who does her nails, she does hair too, maybe she wouldn't have done this to her. We would like our money back. read more

I highly recommend not going to Natalie. I went in with dark brown hair and asked for a Carmel balayage. I show her the picture I attached below as a reference photo. She then bleaches my whole head ?!? I have had balayages done in the past and never did they bleach my whole head!!! Through out the whole processes I was telling her how I looks super washed out with all blonde hair and that's why I'm doing Carmel. After 5 hours of sitting in her chair she finally begins to blow dry my hair and oh my goodness I was almost in tears. It was brassy and chunky and 0 dimension. She then tries to retone it to try and fix it but that does absolutely nothing. My hair is now breaking off in some places, I am mortified to leave the house. She made me pay half and said I could come back to fix it but how am I suppose to trust her to touch my hair ever again. I am appalled with my experience. read more

I struggled for years and years with excessive hairy ears. I tried every tool that has been invented and nothing really worked. Finally I found Greg at "Salon Lujon" he has the knack to remove all my unwanted hair growth from my ears with no pain! He knows what he is doing and does it well. I been to other salons (nail salons) for waxing within two weeks my ears are covered with hair again. The salon is elegant, to say the least, it is a very relaxing environment, and I am forever grateful to have met Greg. He offers many more services as well, that I have not indulged in yet, however and am considering it. I will for certain be going Greg for ear waxing the rest of my life he is the only one that could remove the unwanted hair painlessly and it stays off for a good 2 or 3 months. I scheduled an appointment with Desiree Rendon, a skilled stylist who has been doing hair for over nine years. She was gentle, courteous, and super skilled with hair! I came in having some anxiety about past past hair appointments, and left astonished with de-frizzed manageable hair at a decent price. Desiree Rendon took her time not to snag any of my earrings, and carefully told me about the arduous process taking me through step-by-step.
