I had Absolutely the worst and most upsetting experience ever ! I saw a new stylist named Sierra for a color change and she left my hair two different tones I reached out to her a week later to go in to get it fixed and have one color across my hair she decided to bleach my ends left me sitting for 10 minutes and I experienced severe burning I asked someone next to me to help with finding my stylist as well as another worker at which point I had to get up from the chair run to ask for help from another stylist who left her client and ran to wash my hair out my towel was scorching hot I almost passed out and multiple stylist saw what happened and assisted She continued to color my hair and left it looking super patchy and uneven. She kept insisting it looked fine I paid over $400 for this service all within 1 week !!! I saw Adriana Bora several times at Salon Lujon. Her work was very inconsistent and costly in terms of money and time. The first time was good and the cost OK, a bit pricier than a neighboring salon. The costs went up. The quality was inconsistent. She messed up my hair color 2 times in a row. First too light, said it was my hair. Second too dark so she offered to do highlights to lighten it to the desired color which she had once achieved but failed. She did part of it only and skipped the roots evidently. Adriana messed up my hair color at least 4 times leaving me with a costly correction. I have tried reaching out to the salon manager, Carla, to no avail. Not in, never returns phone calls. Seems like the receptionist lets the stylist know that I phoned but nothing from any manager. When someone's work ends up costing you more money to go to another stylist for a correction there is something VERY wrong. When the salon doesn't care, there is something VERY wrong. They are all contractors at this salon and evidently there is no base standard of quality. When someone is this bad and they have 20 or so years' experience, you have to wonder ... should I take this personally? Intentional? That large blob of a blonde highlight indicates a yes to me. If every stylist in the salon were like Adriana has been with my hair, this salon would not be open for business. Beyond frustrating overall. The salon looks nice and offers various services, etc. Seems ideal but sadly is not. Also, found it odd that when I paid Adrianna, she announced it loudly. However, when watching another person pay her, it was all silent. Hmmm... I have normal hair, it should not be difficult to match the color time after time without overlapping nor should highlights be needed each time. Also, Adriana apparently does not have a California license ... Update: I spoke with Carla and my money was returned for some procedures. Carla states that all of their stylists are licensed ... though Bora is not in the CA license DB with a current license, she could be using a different name? Why would any stylist lie about their name when they clearly state in writing what their name is ... very odd to me. read more

Rene did an excellent job on my balayage. I have been using box dye for a couple of years, and she was honest about my color potentially not lifting as much. But I ended up loving the color. It and the haircut were exactly what I wanted: natural, warm and lots of layers. Rene is also very efficient, which I appreciate! I've found it difficult to find a hair expert I like who gives me the end results I'm looking for, and so I plan to see Rene again for the next touch up. Stumbled upon this salon on accident. I came here for a hair cut a earlier this year. I have been wanting to get my hair colored but every time I've gotten it colored in the past, I never liked the way it turned out. I decided to come back to try this place out for color. I set an appointment with Desiree R. She was amazing! She's friendly, down to earth, easy to talk to, answers all your questions, and is able to explain things to you (like after care, touch ups, tips). I went in explaining my past hair color history with Des, she looked at my hair and said my hair looks healthy enough to color again. I'm giving three stars because I booked an appointment with somebody and they called me two times to see if I would come in earlier. I told the receptionist I was unable to and when I showed up I was scheduled to be with someone totally different. I'd like to read reviews to make sure that whoever is cutting my hair has good reviews so I was really uneasy, but it ended up going well. I love this salon and my hairdresser. Aaron used to cut my son's hair and unfortunately he opened up his own salon which is awesome and his Salon is way too far. He recommended a hairdresser named Vanessa. I made an appointment for my son and oh my God she ruined his hair. I've been coming to this salon for a few years now to see my girl, Staph. As you can see, she does an amazing job at whatever hair color I can dream up. After meeting her, I will never trust anyone else with my hair. She's so creative and so meticulous with my hair. As often as I color my hair, she absolutely knows how to work with my hair without damaging it. She's super fun to work with and a total sweetheart! I'm really lucky to have found her and can't compliment her enough. I almost don't want to write this review because she's already busy enough and I want to keep her for myself. Parking, as many have mentioned is fairly easy as long as you don't come during evenings/weekends. Just a warning with parking: Make sure you check where you park and the allowed duration. I would have loved to give this a better rating. I was looking forward to giving this salon a try. I made an appointment, arrived early and waited .... And waited .... And waited. At 20 minutes par my appointment time I was still waiting. At that point I gave up and left. When I told them I was leaving they let me know the previous client had come in late and it would "just be a few minutes". If you know the last client came late, why not tell me so I could run a couple errands and come back ? Or just tell me up front when I arrived early so I don't waste so much of my time. I came in to the salon and saw Vanessa was recommended on the Deva Cut site so I decided to schedule with her. I showed her old photos of my hair when it was cut and shaped and requested a deva cut (which is not a cheap haircut). This was supposed to be for my birthday and I was so excited to get it cut after so long, my hair was past my collar bones and she cut way too much off. The bangs aren't even long enough to curl, it doesn't even go past my chin. I know she put in time and effort into my cut so I payed, tipped her, and left. Later I went to my house sobbing the whole ride home because this haircut was not what I asked for at all. My mom saw I was upset so, despite her language barrier, she called the salon, spoke with Vanessa, and asked for a refund because I was so visibly upset and she saw from my photos that this was not what I asked for. Vanessa rudely said "well okay your daughter doesn't have to see me anymore," my mom was confused, and then Vanessa hung up on her. I later direct messaged Vanessa on Instagram letting her know I was not happy with the haircut, and that because I know she put time into it I only want a partial refund. She said I left the salon "smiling" and that I tipped her well, and insinuated that I'm only unhappy about the haircut now because I met with my mom and she probably didn't like it. She denied any sort of refund and offered a deep conditioning treatment. I'm very unhappy with this haircut and it's very unprofessional to not offer a partial refund when this haircut wasn't cheap and it's definitely not close to what I asked for. The before and after picture are literally both me, how can you mess up this badly? Edit: Hopefully you let your stylist know you don't like your hair before you leave because the moment you step out of their facility you will NOT get a refund no matter what. If they had a policy like that or a no refund policy it should have been clearly stated so I could have avoided this place at ALL COSTS. And if you thought the managers would be helpful, they are not helpful AT ALL. I spoke with Karen and she basically sided with Vanessa saying I should have said something before leaving, when I spoke up about it 30 minutes after I left because I felt bad for not liking it. Never doing that again, next time I just won't even pay since that is apparently what they wanted me to do because now they are keeping my money hostage. Worst experience with any salon EVER. I have never left a salon feeling so ugly and not accounted for. read more
