I went last night to get my builder gel removed and my nails are now so thin that had to trim them all the way down as soon as I got home, because some were bending back. This was a go to local spot for me to get a basic mani/pedi, but unfortunately, it does not seem like there is proper training on removal of gel/dip. I had spent months regaining nail strength of my natural nails, and now I will be starting over again. I could feel the nail tech pressing too firmly with the drill, and I pulled away a bit and said something. Then she was buffing them out after and I said they are already very thin and showed her, however, she said it was fine. I have been going here for years. Everyone is friendly and kind that is why they are getting 3 stars. But the service I got a few weeks ago, was not it. I forgot to review earlier because I was out of town.. I wanted to try Gel X for the first time and I was excited to go to the salon for it. 1st thing was my cuticles weren't cleaned up so the end result didnt look so nice. The color was too light and the nail bed they use for the gel x is clear so you can literally see through and see where my nail is. The tech didnt even say anything if I was sure about the color -- somoe of the techs always check with me at least if i am sure about the color. Next, the tech put too much glue under that now that my natural nail is growing it makes a ridge between the thick coat of glue and my nail. And it just looks messy overall. And I asked for almond shape and to me they look more oval shaped. It sucks because I really liked that salon because of their kind service and reasonable prices. But I am going to have to go to another salon to do gel x manicures. read more

My sister came back from today and mentioned how she got charged $52 without the tip for a gel manicure plus was asked my the nail tech if her tip was included and tipped 5$ bc it was expensive as it was and only asked for a single color pedicure without her nails being done.
