The nail place nearby was busy so I called and they could take me right away. I don't know the name of the older woman who did my pedicure for me, it was OK but the great surprise was Lee, the salon owner was in and was able to do a quick haircut for me on the spot. I had last went to a "fancy" salon in Irvine where they charged me an arm and a leg for edgy interior design and the haircut was not what I wanted. Lee fixed it for a fraction of the price. I asked her make my bob more graduated and add layers to the back. She got me right away. I just moved to the area so I needed to find a convenient nail salon and there were many choices so I started with this one since it was the closest. I made an appointment for 11:00 a.m. Sunday. When I arrive babe it was directed to their selection of colors which was mostly the same color so I would say bring your own. Once seated in the spa chair warm water was run over my feet just enough to cover the tops and then I was abandoned for 20 minutes. There was no list of prices in view but instead she brought me the crumpled laminated price list which showed $22 for a pedicure. It did not include the normal massage and scrub you get on your legs, it was $37 for that. They did have the TV on but for some reason it was showing the Grand Prix of India! My appointment was for a mani pedi however they only did the pedicure. There was poor communication amongst the three women there. Normally the spa chair means you're going to get your manicure at the same time as your pedicure, but not at this place on Sunday evidently. This place needs some TLC and probably some training on how to better serve customers so they can make more money. I might come back if they lowered the price to $15 and included the standard services that every other salon offers for $25, but otherwise I will try somewhere else. read more

They literally tore a hole out of my nail bed. This is the worst nail experience I've ever had and probably will ever have because I'm permanently scarred for life. Also, this throbbing wound on my pinky will take a while to heal so I can't even do nail polish even if I wanted to. I really hope it doesn't get infected. I came in for an acrylic removal and then gel manicure but things took an ugly turn. The lady was having difficulty removing my acrylics as I have informed her that it's only been two weeks since I've got them on but I was ready to go short again. I also mentioned to her that my nail bed was thin because I've had acrylics for a while. At the last nail which is my left pinky, she was going hard with the cuticle nipper (the super pointy metal thing) which caused my real nails to rip off and bleed everywhere. She was very apologetic and poured this green liquid on my wound which is supposed to clean it. Ultimately I had to have another lady finish my service because I can understand the anxiety that she could be feeling if I was in her place. As the second lady was working on my punctured nail I was flinching a lot because hello?? Gaping tear on my nail bed! I was telling her to go lightly on the nail and she said "I know what to do". Now, I'm a bit understanding on the stern tones that Asian people have when English is their second language. The language barrier can sometimes send a message that's not the most customer-friendly. But if any other customer would've heard this response, it would've been really bad. She also kept telling me to look away as she was working on my injured nail but that traumatized me even more because I'm in a lot of pain don't tell me to look away, okay thanks. This last bit is not an exaggeration. As the nail equipment with the drilling sounds were near my open wound, I felt physically sick to my stomach. I legitimately felt like throwing up and I was sweating a puddle because of the pain and the overwhelming sounds. I was literally freaking out because I wanted the service to be over and I didn't want to be like pause I need to throw up. I just sat there saying sorry to my nail bed that it was badly handled. They still made me pay the service fee and I still tipped some. I can't bring myself to not tip no matter how terrible the service was, I just don't have that in me. But I can't not leave this review because it is so horrific. I've had acrylic removal methods in the past where they don't have to scrape the life out of your nails to the point that they rip a hole out of it. Now, a lot of these reviews are good so just be mindful with their level of skill and care when it comes to removal. They tried to ask me if I still wanted to get a gel manicure but I'm like girl... no. Get me out of here. read more

Worst experience ever! I have never been to a place that would take your nails off (3 of them to be exact) and put them back on (very painful by the way) because they couldn't do it right the first time. I was getting a pedicure and manicure and was trying to have a "self-care day" (stressful week) and this experience only added more stress to me. The lady doing my manicure was hurting me on one end and at the same time the one doing my pedicure was hurting me on the other end and she made me bleed!!! I should've just left and walked home, but nope I made the mistake of staying. To make matters worse they burned my eyebrow lids and upper lip!!!!! I had to walk around with very noticeable burns on my face and for a whole week people at work and home kept asking what happened!! I regret every cent spent here and just threw my $ away!! Update: less than a week later my sister index and pinky nail came off. They never added the "fill" to her nails. They just went over it. I brought my little sister in here after across the street at Tip Top nails lady was rude. We asked if they were able to duplicate a nail design from Pinterest and said "yes" it wasn't as nearly as the picture shown but I will give the lady's their effort in trying to make it right. Because when the lady said she was finished their was still uneven polish on the side of the nails. It wasn't painted completely. Someone else had to redo-and finish the job which took an extra 10 minutes. I personally would not come here again, even though I wasn't getting the service, my sister was. Overall she was okay with how it ended up. I appreciate the effort, they had mentioned if anything happens to the nails to go back and will fix it right away. I was a walk-in so I knew a wait was expected. I did wait about an hour. When someone finally came to get me he literally rushed through the entire job. He put cotton balls on my nails with the tinfoil to get rid of the gel and kept checking them every minute it so while tapping his feet and shaking his head. He then put the new gel on and put the timer for 20 seconds on the curer. I told him that I thought it was supposed to be a minute so he reset it. He only wanted to do two coats of the gel which did not cover at all. I had to ask for the third and show him where it was showing through. The edges of the mani were rough and peeled in a few days. Keep In mind this was gel. Would NOT return. read more

I've been here about 4 times now since I moved to Fullerton and I'm never disappointed. I usually just get mani/pedis. They just got new chairs in recently and I make sure to take advantage of the massage chairs when I get my pedis. All of the ladies are super nice and they remember me by now, always asking how I'm doing at least twice and it feels nice. Very personable. I usually go in the morning and Vicki and/or Michelle are there, and of course the manager Lee is there too! They always take care of me. I haven't gotten my haircut here yet but I'm kind of leaning towards doing so seeing as it's been about a year since my last hair cut and I need a new place. The ladies I see walk out of here after getting their hair done always look good! As for now, this has been my go-to nail place! I've been coming here for about two years now and every time I'm more than satisfied. I always go for the deluxe pedicure and it comes out perfect every time. Friendly staff and relaxing when I'm there which is great because I don't get alot of time off. A couple weeks ago I decided to get my hair dyed there for the first time and let me tell you LEE is a true artist and matched the color I wanted. I was more than happy. They charge too much for a fast job that isn't done right. I just got a gel pedicure & full set 2 days ago from them and already has lifted completely off. She painted all on my cuticles and skin & charged me 30$ when I picked the 20$ pedicure. So I'm assuming gel is 10$ which is outrageous when they use the same tools and cold water for pedicure. I also got acrylic full set 45$ with gel for a very short set which I have acrylic all on my cuticles also and paint job is horrible plus they reuse the tools, buffing tip & filers. It's just dirty here and they rush everything and everyone & say one price and then they want to charge different at the end. Plus don't get your eyelashes done here it is so unsanitary and bad, they literally do them in-front of everyone with your eyes open and same tool for everyone, I've witnessed it. Brought my mom to get the eyelash extensions. They're affordable $25 and last about 2 weeks. She absolutely loves them, and Lee was very quick at applying them. HHmmm... I came here based on the Yelp reviews. Needed to get a fill and pedicure. The workers seem to hate when I walked in at 5pm. (they close at 7pm) The woman doing hair seemed really nice. But it's always bothersome when you walk in they assign you to a seat and start talking in another language. I think it's extremely rude. I asked if they could kindly cut my nails down on my hands $3 charge. I also had a french on my hands and toes... bill was a total of $50.... I get it sure its probably not that bad to get your nails done, BUT really my pedicure was really fast and only a polish change. Appearance of the nails came out good. But not $50 value. Air bubbles, crazy nail shapes, thick and very, very uneven nail polish, cuticles painted over, nails not filed correctly . Not to mention ladies kept trying to push the gel nail manicure on me. One of the ladies cut my daughters toe nails way too short. Paid $26 per person for them to just slap lotion on my legs and arms and to walk out with nails looking like a toddler did them. I had just come from another salon nearly in tears after the lady there had broken the skin on 2 fingers and chipped the corner off 1 nail from over-rough filing... only to ignore me to attend her screaming baby! I came to Cute Cuts & Nails in the pouring rain, and was immediately warmly welcomed. There were three ladies in the empty shop watching the news. Holly was the one who took care of me. I told them all what had just happened and they were all like "you poor thing!" "we'll fix you up." Holly was especially gentle on my cuticles and in filing so she wouldn't hurt me. She was great with communication, asking if I was ok, and called me "Honey" which was super cute! She gave me a gorgeous gel set, and was very quick about it too! She kept telling me how nice my polish choices were for my skin and how pretty my nails are. To top it off, she only wanted to charge me $15 for it!
