My gel overlay manicure was great, which I had an appointment for. The pedicure is the issue. They added me in for the pedicure, for which I waited (they notified me that there was going to be a wait, which I was fine with, but I would've been okay without the pedicure if they told me they didn't have room/time.) So I had a classic pedicure with them, removing my previously grown out gel pedicure and asked for a natural pedicure, expecting the usual cut, toe nail filing/ shaping, and cuticle trimming. My nail tech cut the nails, but basically did a hack job on cutting them. It looked like I cut them at home. No filing them even, no shaping whatsoever -- just a messy slather of nail strengthener over my toenails. And this wasn't the first time I didn't get a color polish on my toenails/got a natural pedicure here. I think I already had a feeling when I was leaving that my pedicure wasn't that great but I couldn't really see in the dim lighting, and I was already delayed in needing to pump (breastmilk) so the engorgement/pumping was the more pressing matter on my mind of needing to get out of the nail salon. So I acknowledge it was my fault for not speaking up, but the services provided should be consistent enough that I don't have to be watching my nail tech like a hawk. Edit: when a business owner replies to your review, and basically says it takes time to achieve a "certain look", I think that's ridiculous, and frankly, a problem. Like I said, I've been here plenty of times and have gotten clear polish/pedicures at THIS LOCATION, especially when I came to THIS LOCATION when I was pregnant this past year and couldn't reach my feet. None of those experiences AT THIS LOCATION were bad. This visit just warranted a bad review and they didn't like it and didn't like the photo proof. My toenails were long and grown out (43 days since my last pedicure) so the nail tech had plenty to work with. And like I previously acknowledged, I should've spoken up but gave the reason why it didn't happen. Business owners: stop writing automatic formed responses and be proud of your business and acknowledge when you hire people who don't achieve your vision for your business and cut corners. I got a "pedicure" without a cuticle trim -- I think that's a basic at the very least.

Context: I came in for a quick, temporary mani-pedi. I understand normal polish doesn't last. I also have a broken nail (pictured). 1. My salonist insisted on powder after I told her what I wanted (normal polish) at least twice. 2. After asking for a design on my regular polish nails (before she started) she looked at me completely baffled and reminded me that "it wouldn't last." No, yeah I know how regular polish works. 3. She put a tip on my broken nail which burned SO bad and was not prepared at all with how to remedy this. She decided putting alcohol on it would help. It did not. 4. I then had to argue with her about removing the tip and just not touching the nail. I explained I'd just put a band aid on and it's not a big deal to not have polish on it. 5. She proceeded to file the nail which hurt then TRIED TO PUT POLISH ON IT. I said "no" and she had the AUDACITY to say "It'll look weird." UMMM I'm not going to endure a burning pain for some polish. Then she replied "it won't hurt" EXCUSE ME???? 6. Bonus: She never asked me what shape I wanted, so now I Hate my ugly nails I had to pay for. This is absolute bullshit. Never coming back. Nia was fantastic. She took so much care and effort in her attention to detail was incredible. It was very easy to make an appointment online through their website where you could see which nail tech are available being that this was my first time here I just picked any and ended up getting Nia. The salon itself was very peaceful with very calming music with the front desk worker offering everyone something to drink. The color selection was very good and a lot better than most salons in the area which tend to have the same colors. These were different from anything I've ever seen. I asked Nia for a short almond shape and just a regular color and it looks like exactly what I wanted without even specifying. I told her I have to type at work and without hesitation or pressure to get them a little longer she did exactly what I wanted. She took time with my cuticles and gave me lotion at the end and to top it off. I got a free cuticle oil from the front desk person. I will be coming back and booking with Nia. Specifically everyone in there looks like they do a fantastic job. You can't go wrong with anyone 10 out of 10 would recommend.
