I waited until I'd visited this salon a few times before writing a review because I wanted to give it a fair chance. The last issue happened last week, but I waited until today to write about it. I wanted to sit with my emotions and see if it still bothered me. It does. The salon is nice, and I can see they've tried to renovate it, but I wouldn't call it 100% accommodating. The bathroom and baseboards still look old, and the chairs don't have a massage feature. I notice details that other people might not, but none of that was a reason for me to stop coming. I told them from the beginning that I'm picky. I'm polite, but I know what I want and always tell nail salons upfront. I've been getting my nails done since I was 15, and I'm 45 now. My nails are thin and brittle, and psoriasis affects how they look. Sometimes they can look like they might have fungus, but that's what psoriasis does to my nails. I need a technician who understands that. My first appointment went well. I really liked my pedicure and the woman who did it. She's a sweetheart. The nail technician is nice and does a good job, though she has a strong personality that can come across as a little rude. I have a strong personality too, so I gave it a chance. Both technicians are fast, which I love because I travel a lot for work and don't want to spend hours in a nail salon. A full set and pedicure took about an hour and 15 minutes. Both looked cute, and I got what I wanted. About a month later, I called and asked for a fill. When I arrived, the nail technician started removing my nails. She then told me that next time we should do a fill because my nails are so brittle. I told her I had asked for a fill when I called, and that she'd said she would decide whether to remove them once she saw them. She told me that regardless of what I say on the phone, I should discuss what we agreed on directly with her when I come in. I said okay, but I also wondered why my request hadn't been communicated to her. That's part of having a receptionist. I was irritated, but my second full set and pedicure looked good, so I decided to come back. At my next visit, she removed the polish, saw that the nails underneath didn't look good, and decided to take the set off. I also switched from an oval shape to a shorter, simpler coffin shape. The next day, the color started chipping. My sister said that can happen with a solid color using gelx, but I was about to leave the country for work and wanted my nails to look professional. I called the salon, explained the chipping, and asked to come in to fix it. I offered to pay. The person on the phone insisted there would be no charge and booked me. I even asked if she was sure, and she said yes. I want to emphasize that I offered to pay because I value people's work. When I came in, they saw me fairly quickly. Nobody mentioned a charge before or during the appointment. At the end, the nail technician told me it would be $35. I paid and gave her a $7 tip. I wasn't going to change my character over it, but I was irritated. I don't know whether the receptionist failed to tell the technician what she'd promised. My issue isn't paying, I offered to do that from the beginning. My issue is being told repeatedly that I wouldn't be charged, then being charged without an explanation or apology. My nails had been done less than 9 days earlier, and she changed the color and reshaped them. Even if they wanted to charge me, they could have told me beforehand or acknowledged the miscommunication. Nobody did. I've run businesses for years, and transparency matters to me. If a client explains what they need to the receptionist, that information should reach the technician. This was the second time something I'd discussed on the phone didn't seem to be communicated. In my experience, the front desk came across as disengaged, and the communication was mediocre. I'm not naming anyone because I don't want to put anyone on blast. I hope the salon takes this as a lesson. The nails looked nice, the woman who does my pedicures is lovely, and the nail technician is quick and does good work. My biggest issue is the salon's internal communication, which shouldn't be the client's responsibility. Thank you for the services, but I won't be back. read more

This was the best nail studio I've been to in years! The representative at the front desk was incredibly helpful and sweet. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for her name. A very talented nail tech with an eyebrow slit (I believe his name is spelled Wynn) did my pedicure and polish, and KIM did my manicure. They both checked in with me throughout the services to make sure I was happy with everything, and they did an AMAZING job. I'm super satisfied with both the customer service and the quality of their work. ***UPDATE: My nails survived five days in Cabo filled with tons of walking and swimming! I'm officially a month in, and these are the longest-lasting acrylic nails I've ever had WITHOUT lifting or getting caught in my hair. She's worked on my nails before and knew she could execute what i was looking for. Solid color with cat eye is what i got. 10/10 would recommend. This place is tucked in an older plaza but has good amount of parking. Area is quiet too especially on a Saturday afternoon. When you walk in, you're welcomed by a cozy, modern minimalist interior. They are very clean and hygienic too. Sharlene greeted me and checked me in as I walked in, which was nice because she also did my pedicure. She was very sweet and patient with me since I had a few requests during my pedicure. She was also gentle and did a great job! I booked my GelX manicure with Tyson since I noticed he did a lot of the nail art on their social media. Let's just say he NAILed my inspo (pun intended). I am so happy with how it turned out. He was also patient with me since I had to pause mid artwork to use the bathroom (& yes I did use the bathroom the moment I arrived too). I appreciated that he would ask for my opinions on the artwork because I opted for gold detailing compared to my inspo pic. Throughout the appointment, he checked in at every step to make sure I was happy with the length, shape, color, and overall look. When I was deciding on a color, he took the time to show options on my nails which made choosing much easier. As much as I wanted to love it, the technician who did my pedicure today did not seem very experienced. I originally booked with Bonnie but was asked if I would consider a different technician who is "very good" as Bonnie was running behind schedule today. The gentleman who did my pedicure today was very nice but kept chafing my skin with the file as he was shaping the toenails, which were filed unevenly. I came home and had to clip off a sharp end on my big toe myself. Again he was really nice and tried his best to be gentle but he needs a lot more practice with shaping. I'm still leaving a positive review because you can tell that they are trying to run a good business but I don't think it was fair to change out a requested technician with someone who needs more training. read more

I am so impressed with this nail salon! Clean, quiet, professional, and staff were so attentive and sweet. I feel like normally places rush and cut corners but this place is the opposite. Easy online booking with transparent prices, good color selection, on time service, and each person took their time. They accept Apple Pay, cards, and cash and have an option to add tip on card. I did go and have a medium service which means the middle one which is not too expensive or too cheap. I did enjoy the service because they were not pretending to care but just focused on what they where doing. Also didn't hear much speaking in a different language which wasn't rude. The one thing I did not like is they don't have those quick drying machines they put over your hand or feet so you have to wait for it to dry naturally. Again massage could last longer and better which was alright but not dynamite. Will I be going back? Hmmmm possibly by the way.... fyi you get a first time discount. read more

This place will make you reschedule your apt if you're more than 5 min late but had no problem making me wait more than 20 min for a pedicure after I had an apt. The nail techs themselves are all, for the most part, pretty good. The desk staff/management, however, does not impress. The experience was not too great,First, I made a phone call a week before I do the nails, and I told the reception staff I want a hard gel, the appointment time was 10 am I did not get started until 10:15am, when the nail person arrived, the front desk told her what I want which is in Vietnamese, I don't understand. So she started to do my nail, it was supper quick, and when she almost done I realized it's not a hard gel, I told her I want a hard gel for my nail and she told me the nail was done she can't fix it, next time I need to confirm with the front desk what kind of the service I want for the day! Which is impossible, I came before the front desk lady showed up to work, and one of the staff set me up on the table before everyone showed up to work. Second, I did show her a few pictures of styles that I want for my nails which she could even find a same color for me so instead of the one I really want I get another one, because I don't think the nail salon has the gel that I want!!!!! Third, I do think the nail stylist should check the customer's nail types before actually doing it,my nail is soft she did not recommend anything to me, and it got my nail break in half just the few days! Missed the mark for me on my first time here and did not receive my 15% off. Bonnie, who did my pedicure did an excellent job. My manicure by Tracy was ok. Although she was detailed in what she did, when I asked for a Christmas tree on my index, she suggested we do just the bow on my ring finger otherwise there's "too much glitter". I did not get the red dots or Christmas tree designs on my other nails as requested. Then I was charged an additional $35 for my cateye French glitter nails, which is not a complex design...plus two plastic bows. Although I don't expect every technician to design exactly as pictured, I was disappointed I was charged for complex designs when I did not receive the designs requested. All staff there were very nice and welcoming, and the store looks beautiful. I usually don't argue with the technician when the technician suggests something else, because I'm not going to force someone to design something if they don't want to do it. Overall, I'm not sure if I'll return because I wasn't completely happy with my manicure technician or the lack of shimmer selection. Perhaps try a different person in the store, because everyone else that were in the store at the time received the designs they asked for.. read more
