This place is popular. I come here often enough... but yesterday, my pedicure was so shitty that when I went home, my husband asked "you didn't get your toes done?" Lmao, but really not. My gel overlay manicure was great, which I had an appointment for. The pedicure is the issue. They added me in for the pedicure, for which I waited (they notified me that there was going to be a wait, which I was fine with, but I would've been okay without the pedicure if they told me they didn't have room/time.) So I had a classic pedicure with them, removing my previously grown out gel pedicure and asked for a natural pedicure, expecting the usual cut, toe nail filing/ shaping, and cuticle trimming. My nail tech cut the nails, but basically did a hack job on cutting them. It looked like I cut them at home. No filing them even, no shaping whatsoever -- just a messy slather of nail strengthener over my toenails. And this wasn't the first time I didn't get a color polish on my toenails/got a natural pedicure here. I think I already had a feeling when I was leaving that my pedicure wasn't that great but I couldn't really see in the dim lighting, and I was already delayed in needing to pump (breastmilk) so the engorgement/pumping was the more pressing matter on my mind of needing to get out of the nail salon. So I acknowledge it was my fault for not speaking up, but the services provided should be consistent enough that I don't have to be watching my nail tech like a hawk. Edit: when a business owner replies to your review, and basically says it takes time to achieve a "certain look", I think that's ridiculous, and frankly, a problem. Like I said, I've been here plenty of times and have gotten clear polish/pedicures at THIS LOCATION, especially when I came to THIS LOCATION when I was pregnant this past year and couldn't reach my feet. None of those experiences AT THIS LOCATION were bad. This visit just warranted a bad review and they didn't like it and didn't like the photo proof. My toenails were long and grown out (43 days since my last pedicure) so the nail tech had plenty to work with. And like I previously acknowledged, I should've spoken up but gave the reason why it didn't happen. Business owners: stop writing automatic formed responses and be proud of your business and acknowledge when you hire people who don't achieve your vision for your business and cut corners. Such a cute nail shop and very bougie/cutely decorated. The staff were all friendly, sweet, and welcoming. My sweet husband booked me a surprise mani/pedi postpartum so this was a fun time. This is definitely going for luxe nail experience as they offer a drink. I ended up getting a vietnamese coffee (BOMB by the way) and they were nice enough to get my husband one too as he was just accompanying me on this visit. PARKING: They have a tiny lot with a few spots for free. I got lucky to snag one of those. SUNRISE PEDICURE: This pedicure included a mineral bath, tropical scrub, extra callus reduction, mineral mask, and a 5 minute massage using the following ingredients-milk, epsom, sea salt, turbinado sugar, orange, avocado, and minerals. For $49, I did not find this worth it sadly. Yes, the ingredients are fresh and curated in house. However, I was disappointed by the callus reduction (did not see any of a difference) and the scrub/massage was very quick and short. I did appreciate how they allowed me to "try" two different shades on my toes to help me decide between two colors. GEL MANICURE: $40 My manicure was okay too. I had to remind them of a few spots to touch up (didn't go to the edge and left a gap of naked nail 2x). I also had to make them aware that there was a small string of hair that got on my nails, which they helped me remove. Overall not a bad manicure, but just wished they were more attentive to details. Man, I really want to love this place. It's so cute inside and a great locale for friends to all meet up. I will def try gel the next time I go in. They currently have a new client gift and if you get a cash discount. I do think depending who is there, dictates your experience. Just haven't found the right tech yet. The first time I went in we weren't offered anything to drink. The second time we were offered drinks and settled on a hot Vietnamese coffee. My struggle is the communication-- I just wanted strengthener under regular polish because my nails were super brittle from gel-x. I called them first to schedule the appointment and make sure they could do what was requested. They said yes and booked the appointment online. I then went in with a friend and the tech argued that I can't have strengthener and regular polish. She then told two other techs and they all said no but the front desk said they could and I felt very much stuck in between everyone just trying to get some color. I wouldn't have scheduled if it was just strengthener for $30 and just wait until after to then go in for color. All that to say I went back in for a pedicure and it is quite a lovely experience, very unique with all of their signature services. My girl friend took me to get a pedicure this past Monday because I had just gotten in a car accident and was too sore to do it myself before a long trip Despite crazy traffic due to another accident on the freeway, the ladies were very gracious for still taking us in 15 min late at 6:30 (shop closes at 7). The interior is so nice, and gave an "at home" vibe. The big sodas were so comfortable ( I'll need to wear shorts to not slide off though ). I was really impressed with the foot bath water when told that there's seasonal changes designed by the owner. Love that there's complimentary drinks. It's really been years since I went out for nail service. The pedicure itself was pretty nice, there's one edge on my right big toe I would've asked to fix it we weren't late & id come back for the ombré gel color we didn't have time for. Unfortunately have to drop down my rating to 3 stars. I had great pedicures here (last 2 or 3 visits were perfect!), hence why I still give it a 3 star over 1 (and service is great too) but I just got my nails done yesterday - with a clear polish for a photo shoot - and this is my nails 24 hours later post shower (shower was taken post 24 hours, just the usual; no chemicals). A bit bummed, I've never had this result elsewhere with the same style before. I did notice that when my cuticles were pushed back, it felt a bit uncomfortable because the technician went far past the cuticles and onto my skin, and I think that's why it's peeling like that. I think this place is still worth visiting as I've been satisfied with their pedicures; you just have to be selective with the technicians. read more
