The Scan: It was done with makeup on which was mistake one. It said I had medium/dark skin that isn't sensitive to sun, based on my brown eyeshadow. It also said I'm 92% oily but I was wearing beef tallow on my face after working all day to help my dry skin (that has been dry my whole life). Any well trained esthetician would be able to see that the scan was inaccurate. They also didn't ask any questions about current products or skin history to verify whether the scan was accurate or not. They based my treatment on the scan which may or may not be the cause of the issue I ended up with. Treatment: good treatment overall but nothing to compare it to since this was my first Korean facial. My skin had a nice glow afterward. The staff was nice so no complaints there. The products weren't clearly explained and I didn't receive any info about them which was another red flag. Post: 3 days after my treatment I developed dermatitis, as seen in pictures and determined by my dermatologist. It's unclear what caused the dermatitis. Post one week: skin has healed mostly with some redness still around my mouth. No scarring. The staff saw my original review and was very concerned and called me. I admit I should have contacted them first prior to the review. They talked to me at length and asked many questions and they did truly seem to care and want to make it right. They did say that they are tightening procedures and the makeup should have been cleaned off first and said they should have asked about current products. This is something they said they normally do but didn't that day. They had concern about the beef tallow but I didnt use any after the facial, just the products they recommended (and I purchased from them). I don't think that was the cause. They offered another facial (very gentle and healing) and my money back which I appreciate considering I paid $100 for a derm appointment and antibiotics. I haven't taken their offer yet but I do think they were genuinely surprised and caring during the process so I'm changing my review from 1 star to 3. read more

I came to this location with high expectations. I initially found them on Instagram and the reviews seemed positive, so I decided to give them a try. They offered a free facial analysis, which sounded promising at first. Unfortunately, the actual facial was extremely disappointing. I explained that my main concerns were that my skin felt dull and that I felt like my face was aging quickly. During the facial, there was no proper cleansing or preparation of my skin. The esthetician simply applied a few different serums with a very light massage. After that, she placed what felt like a mesh cloth with some type of mud or mask on my face and left the room for about 30 minutes. There was little to no communication during the entire service. The esthetician spoke almost no English and did not explain what products were being used or what was happening during the treatment. I walked in and out looking exactly the same, with no noticeable improvement to my skin. The only real difference was that I was $250 lighter. My main concerns were pore size and texture, and the aesthetician recommended specific treatments. They even emailed me the full report afterward. Afterward, I had a hydrating facial with some extraction, and it came with a relaxing body massage. They also deducted my $50 deposit from the total, which was a nice touch. I was a bit worried about the pain level and downtime but the pain was a 4 out of 10 and the downtime is not as bad as I thought it would be! :D I know you need a minimum of three sessions to see results but I noticed a huge difference in texture and skintone after the first session. Second, after taking all these fancy pictures of my face, they only gave me a generic menu of what they do. It seems like a waste of a good machine to not do anything customizable with the findings. I had clogged pores, clearly on the pictures and yet there was not a single extraction done. Just my cleaning and vibrator on my face. All which I can do at home on the daily. I found this place after getting into skin analysis videos and had to try. Would like to say I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. You can't wash your face for 48 hours after the facial to enhance the effects and the peeling /downtime lasts for about 10 days. But, you're left with softer, glowy skin. Making an appointment was easy because they also reply by text. Which is convenient for those who have busy schedules or can't easily step away for calls during business hours. I was looking for something more than a typical spa facial, but have not yet gathered the courage to get microneedling or a chemical peel. So Google and Yelp took me to Troiareuke. I saw that they have a herbal version of microneedling (Troipeel), but also facials + massages. I figured if I chicken out of the peel or it wasn't for me, I'll still get a facial. Seeing my skin on HD jumbo screen definitely helped build my courage lol. For someone who has no pain tolerance, the pain level of the Troipeel was 6/10. Given that I mentally prepared for a level 12/10. I did not commit to any multiple session packages because it does require at least 3 days of not being able to wash your face post treatment. Redness, added hydration from aftercare (I was a grease ball), followed by few more days of some visible peeling. I was not prepared to coordinate my work schedule around the downtime. But I would not have hesitated to commit if I had enough confidence to not care. They sent me off with a mini aftercare bag and went over the steps in detail. I waited 10+ days to write this review to give my full experience a chance. Even with just one treatment, there were noticeable difference in my skin! Definitely going back.
