They put super glue on asap it so I didn't even realize I got cut until today when the glue peeled off. My left hand cuticles are all inflamed. Sticker flower on my finger was creased and literally peeled off after washing my hands once. I glued it back on myself. Prep work for gel-x was thorough so at least I know they'll last. My cuticles just hurt so much from getting cut by the drill. read more

Do not book here. My boyfriend surprised me with a Valentine's gift to get my nails done, and the experience was beyond disappointing. We originally booked for 4:00 PM and were rescheduled to 4:30 PM, which we thought was odd but didn't question. When we arrived, things only got worse. I had seen their Instagram and was excited because it looked like they did detailed designs. However, I was immediately told they don't actually do designs only stickers. That was already disappointing, but I decided to move forward anyway thinking at least the nails would still turn out cute. Unfortunately, they did not. The nail tech didn't even start on me until 5:30 PM and was clearly rushing the entire process because she wanted to go home. She didn't follow the design I showed her (a chocolate chip mint theme). Instead of recreating the look, she slapped on a silver sticker, skipped the bow and other details completely, and just repeated the same basic design on multiple nails. On top of that, she placed my pointed nail crooked. When I politely corrected her, she had the audacity to blame me, saying my finger was crooked and it wasn't her fault. My finger is not crooked, and I've had my nails done many times before without any issue. That was extremely unprofessional. The worst part? She cut me badly enough that I was bleeding on the way home. To make it even more upsetting, they charged my boyfriend $60 and claimed my nails were "X-large" when they were medium length. Rushed service, misleading advertising, poor design work, unprofessional attitude, and I left bleeding. Save your money and go somewhere else. Never again. read more

This nail place is now my favorite nail spot in Fullerton not only because of the cleanliness, the friendly atmosphere and the prices but mainly because I found Joanne! She is the best in town when it comes to Gel-X. I get stiletto LONG, and I'm a bartender so I am constantly using my hands, they always look beautiful and my last set stayed on without any repairs or having to glue any back on for over 3 1/2 weeks! I usually don't let them go that long but they looked great still. I also highly recommend Annie for a pedicure. She takes her time with the massage.... and she always does an outstanding job. I recently visited AList Nails for a pedicure and acrylic set, and unfortunately, I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience. I left feeling extremely unsatisfied and concerned about the hygiene and customer service standards at this salon. I went in hoping for a simple French tip acrylic enhancement. None of the pink shades available suited my dark complexion, so I expressed this to the technician, who also happened to be the manager. She suggested dip powder, which I politely declined--I made it clear I only wanted acrylic. When she showed me color options, I assumed they were colored acrylic powders. I chose one, and she began the service. The problems began almost immediately.She did not wash my hands cut any cuticle or use sanitizer. She applied a tip crookedly and I pointed it out. The tip was too small for my nail bed, and though she soaked it off and reapplied it, it was still crooked. I reluctantly let it go. She used a metal bit to file aggressively, and I told her my finger was getting hot from the friction. Her response was to suggest a manicure, stating that filing is required with acrylics. Then, she applied only clear acrylic--even after I specifically chose a color--and informed me afterward that she only uses clear acrylic and adds color later. At that point, I decided to accept it and fix it myself at home. The acrylic application on my other hand was rushed and messy, with no clean-up. She interrupted me several times while I tried to express my concerns and offered to soak everything off when I mentioned I was unhappy. I declined because I didn't want further damage, especially since she had already drilled into my nail during the first soak-off. To make matters worse, she used an old, worn file, and I noticed that none of the tools or implements were sanitized between clients. Items meant for single-use were being reused, which is a major sanitation violation. This is not only unprofessional--it's a health hazard. I was charged $25 for this service, which is appalling given the poor quality, rude attitude, and unsanitary practices. I'm a licensed nail technician myself, and I rarely have time to do my own nails. I was hoping to treat myself and instead ended up dreading my decision. It's shameful that salons like this continue to operate without accountability. The manager showed no regard for client satisfaction, took my feedback personally, and seemed annoyed by any critique. "I fix later" seems to be the motto--only if you argue enough. Instead of A List Nails this place should be called Z List Nails. read more

It was the most painful manicure of my life that I had to stop her in the middle. I have two cuts and abrasions from the nail drill. The nail tech (I think her name is Jessica) (1) pulled every single cuticle as she was snipping, (2) filed not just the nails but also skin on fingers (3) instead of soaking with polish remover to remove gel nails, filed down all the way leaving my nails very thin and brittle, (4) also filed with the filing block aggressively on top of the nails until the nails actually felt hot from the friction (5) and made two open wounds from the nail drill. I said i want to stop because it hurt too much. She then proceeded to slather on lotion all over my open wounds and rubbing it in. I said it hurts and told her i was bleeding. She said "it's ok. Alcohol later." I was getting too uncomfortable so i just told her I don't want to do any color and stop. She proceeded to slather on lotion and massage my other arm. I finally had to say, "i want to stop. That's enough." She still charged me for the manicure service and I paid. Now it's the next day and my fingers still hurt from inflammation around the cuts. I will never come back. I really believe the nail tech should be trained better on skills and hygiene. read more

I came in with strong, healthy natural nails -- and I left with brittle, damaged nail beds after just one appointment. I asked for a gentle manicure after acrylic removal, and repeatedly told the nail tech that her method was painful. She used cuticle nippers to scrape my nail bed, even after I clearly asked her to stop multiple times. She dismissed me, saying "I have to" -- which is inexcusable. By the end of the appointment, the same person who had complimented my strong nails was now calling them "brittle" -- because she had caused the damage. On top of that, I had to instruct the tech how to apply polish. The application was messy -- polish all over my nail beds, uneven finishes, and zero attention to shaping or elegance. It was clear they lacked not only technique, but any design sense or understanding of how to visually optimize a clean, professional nail look. It honestly felt like I was teaching a beginner, not receiving professional service. This was hands-down one of the worst nail experiences I've ever had. If you value gentle care, basic polish skills, and a tech who listens to you instead of ignoring your pain, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. read more

I got my nails done and I am not picky at all. I'm really not. But the amount of glue left under my nail is unacceptable. I asked her to remove it and she wouldn't because she said it was normal. Then I came back like two hours later and she filed a few of them down a little bit. I came back a couple hours after that and asked him to completely redo the set and she said no and then I said well can I at least get a partial refund and she said no But the set looks like it's over two weeks old and I paid $150 for this and my toenails ridiculous. I have been coming to this salon for many years and I am always happy with the service I receive. Jessica does my nails with the powder and Annie or one of the other girls does my pedicure. Jessica knows that I have very thin nails and is very careful to make sure that the drill doesn't get too hot, and lets whoever is doing my pedicure know not to rub my legs too hard as they are very sensitive. Yes, I'm a little high maintenance, but I always feel very taken care of here and I am always impressed by the professionalism and cleanliness of this shop. Recently, I started getting eyelash extensions from Joanne. I was only going to keep them for the length of my vacation, but I have received so many compliments from my friends about how natural they look, I just can't take them off.
