This review is specifically for Maria Olmos. She is a TRUE ARTIST! Her skills are impeccable. She did makeup for myself and my mother for a photoshoot. We both requested natural looking makeup and that is exactly what we got. She did an amazing job making us still feel like ourselves, but better and enhanced. She used beautiful natural lashes on us and the application was perfect, they didn't feel too heavy and they matched our eye shape/size well. One of my friends recommended me to get my hair done by Mihaela and since my hair was in major need of some TLC I booked an appointment with Mihaela. I had a messy haircut from a previous stylist and Mihaela was able to fix my hair cut and I loved my layers. However, I was very disappointed with how she colored my hair. I messaged her pictures and videos of what I wanted (chocolate brown balayage) and she said she would be able to do that. I have been getting my hair done since 2014 and every single time I get my hair colored I get a balayage so I am familiar with how my hair should look when that style of hair coloring. When she finished coloring my hair you couldn't even see the color unless you looked in the light. Not only that the color was not a balayage and looked more like streaky highlights and not in a good way.... Why would I pay for balayage and end up with streaky highlights? My hair is naturally dark but when she was putting bleach on my hair she said my color was lifting well. I let it go and tried my best to like it yet once I washed my hair it immediately turned brassy after one wash! That has never happened to me. I reached out and she told me to come in to get it toned which I did. Yet after getting my hair toned again, it turned brassy after one wash. She said it's because I need to get my hair toned frequently and my hair is dark and that's why I couldn't get the color I wanted...... I've had blonde, brown, caramel, blue and even purple hair before so I thought that was complete BS. Every time I asked her how to fix the brassyness to achieve the color I wanted she would say something referring to my hair specifically not being able to get the intended color. I found someone to fix my color and when I went in they were like "wow, this color is a mess"....... So yea definitely not coming back to get my hair colored here. read more
