Incredible banh mi. So fresh and flavorful, and the price is INSANE (affordable)!! The best value you can get for any kind of food nowadays. Quick service, nice staff, and they accept credit cards. Must go here.

Overall Thoughts: This takeout only spot in Seattle's Little Saigon is small but quite chaotic with workers buzzing around you and a busy line usually forming around lunch. For $6, the banh mis are very solid and hit the spot; the bread is fresh and flakey. They also have a large selection of packaged foods and hot lunch boxes, which all looked delicious. The service is quick and efficient with no frills. They accept both card and cash. Food I tried: - Roasted pork belly banh mi (4.5/5): The pork belly was really fatty, but flavorful and delicious. The ratios of bread to pork to veggies were good. - Three kinds of ham banh mi (4.4/5): The pate was creamy and the cold cuts were tasty; this is a classic that you can't go wrong with. - Banh cuon - prepackaged (4.4/5): Tasted good; its soft and delicate texture paired nicely with the crispy shallot toppings and delicious sauce. -- Price (relative to peers): 4.6/5 Food: 4.4/5 Ambience: N/A Service: 4.5/5 Overall Value: 4.5/5

Viet coffee, chicken curry, banh cuon, nem nuong banh mi, rice platter all under $40

Came on a Thursday around lunch and it was busy with a small stream of people ordering and moving in and out of the store. It's cramped but certainly loaded either way lots of grab and go items, some refrigerated items, and hot food items. I ordered some viet coffee, chicken curry, banh cuon, nem nuong banh mi, and a rice platter. All of this came to a total of $37 which is an amazing deal since this can be eaten over multiple meals. The value from this small deli is amazing! It's such a great option for a quick and affordable lunch. I'll be coming back for sure!

banh mi #1 pork no pate

Delicious, bread was flaky and soft on the inside, my only complaint is that the cucumber was bitter, also wish it was thing sliced vs a large hunk but that's a personal preference. Also excited for the bánh da lợn and honeycomb cake. Bringing them back home on the plane!

This is a small niche in the International District. It is to go. The food is excellent. My favorites are the beef shanks, meatballs are huge and the best Vietnamese Saigon meatballs I've ever had. Their braised pork belly with hard boiled eggs is really really good- I like to crumble the whole egg over my pork. The pork and beef and chicken is so very tender- it's excellent. Their bàhn mí is excellent- the bread is so fresh. It tastes like they bake their own bread. I've had the roasted pork bàhn mí about three or four times now, it's excellent. The roast pork is super tender and the flavors are wonderful. I'm not quite sure if the vegetables are pickled and or what butter they use- along with paté but the flavor is superb. I would try their other sandwiches but the pork really hits home. The people that work there are very friendly and it's a nice atmosphere- I walked in one day and the place was packed full of people and they quickly served everyone in minutes- extremely efficient and great quality. I used to make my own braised hot pot - tendon, cartilage, beef, meatballs etc. but why when you have it done perfectly by this nice spot in the city. Totally worth the drive~ Thanks everyone!

I happened to be near the CID and decided to stop by for a takeout. The food is plentiful. I mean, I wish I had some photos but they were stacked. I decided to get two item combo with pork belly and beef stew. Additionally, I got a premade drink which I have no idea what the name is. It was milky drink with jellies and beans. Delicious! The to-go container was so packed. The food was enough for two meals at minimum for under $15. Not a bad deal. I didn't see any seating but it was very clear the place was best for quick takeouts or pick and pay. The parking was pretty plenty at the time and there's a fence around the whole mall which makes it seem safer. I would definitely check out the spot again for a banmi and the Vietnamese iced coffee.

A friend recommended this place to me, and I'm so glad I bookmarked it! I found myself in the international district with a friend and needed a quick bite. We made our way here and were in and out within five minutes. There was a wide range of options, including prepared and packaged foods and menu items made fresh. We got two banh mis and a coffee smoothie. The banh mis were warm and well-filled with veggies and an ample amount of meat. The smoothie was huge and only $5! This establishment has some of the most affordable lunch and dinner items in Seattle. I'm definitely coming back to try more menu items in the near future.

    Bbq pork bahn mi
    Michelle X.

An affordable grab and go spot that offers hot takeout, premade meals, and freezer/fridge bulk food for later. My bahn mi was toasted, creamy, acidic, savory and the perfect size for lunch. The sandwich was transportable and not too messy to eat straight from the wrapper, factors that don't always hold true for bahn mi.

Little shop where you come and order Togo food. It's small but has so many food options to select from. They also have pre made dishes you can grab and go. Got bbq pork banh mi it was yummy! As well as spring rolls and pork and egg bun Bao! All their food are cheap and tasty!

Ask the Community - Saigon Vietnam Deli

Is there any seating inside or nearby?

My apology but this is more like a come, order and go place. There is a bus station in front and parks nearby that you could find a place to sit on.

Do you serve fresh sugar cane juice?

    No they do not.

My cocktail was a pho broth washed shot of Jameson and it came with a pho broth chaser. Hope I got that right but I almost don't wanna drink Jameson any other way now. It looked packed but I think a lot of people were at the larger pho Bac sup shop (which is associated w The Boat, but The Boat had plenty of seating at 6:30 on a Sunday night. The place is right next to their sister location, Pho bar, and share a parking space. It is nice and clean on the inside, and like the name the restaurant is shape like a boat! So far I have been here twice and would definitely come back for a warm meal. The staff were helpful and pleasant! It was roughly a 30 minute wait for the food, but that is to be expected considering this is not a fast-food Restaurant (:

The custard duck egg is an excellent starter, with a rich, savory broth that delivers a deep, yolky umami punch. The rau ram oil and herb is such a creative twist that adds the perfect herbal dimension. The radicchio pudding was light and offered a clean, almost grassy brightness without being overwhelming in flavors. Great option for any vegans at the table. The wagyu beef tallow fries were some of the best fries I've ever had. Ultra-crispy, perfectly thick-cut, and deeply flavorful with beef notes shining through, without being too heavy. Like many of the dishes here, perfectly balanced in flavor. The grilled eggplant with whipped tofu and crispy sun chokes was another standout. The tofu whip was so smooth and should be considered a worthy sub for mayo. The eggplant was soft, creamy, and perfectly charred. The garlic rice was incredibly savory and maybe my favorite version of it yet. Packed with the perfect depth of garlicky flavor and seasoning. Finally for dessert - I thought the durian fruit cup was decent, it's great for durian lovers but next time I will be back to try their other desserts. The hollow bread is a must-try. It's fried to perfection, the inside is steamy and the butter it comes with is perfect but the bread alone is so good that it doesn't need it. The perfect touch of roasted sesame. Slightly sweet, it's a delight in textures and perfect in cold weather. The oyster on half shell in happy hour is also a great standard oyster, very fresh, with a nuanced Viet twist in the sauces. Vegetable dip is pretty standard and also delicious, great if you're looking for a healthy starter. Coffee rubbed ribs were fantastic as well and an incredible deal for the size. You have to dip it in the fish sauce or else there is no flavor. Just something minor but I wish the pickled veggies were more separated. It had the cut lines but not fully cut so you had to separate it yourself. The com tam was alright. All of the components you would usually get for a broken rice dish. The meatloaf was really good. The pork on the other hand was a bit too salty for my liking. And you only get one thin piece... soup on the side was good and was a good way to cleanse the palette. Overall good modern/fancy spin on Vietnamese food but overpriced. Would probably be nice to go during dinner time for some drinks as the ambience seemed better for night time. Good amount of seating. Street parking around the area was easy to find.
