I have been meaning to try Saigon Chicken House for a hot minute now & today I was finally able to see what the hype was about! I tried one of their signature dishes, bó nè, which is beef, sunny side up egg, jalapeno, and onions on a sizzling hot plate with some pâté + BUTTER (omg!). I paired this meal with a limeade because lately I have been absolutely OBSESSED with limeade (if you like lemonade, you need to try if you haven't !) The limeade here is perfect, not too sweet & not sour. Fries and a baguette come with an order of bó nè to dip. Taste: It was SO GOOD! Very delicious comfort meal, perfect for brunch. This dish comes in small or large size, and also an XL size too I believe. The pâtè with the beef and runny egg was chef's kiss. AND with the baguette too?? YES. So glad I was finally around in the area to try Saigon Chicken House. I will definitely be back soon to get bó nè and try some of their other dishes. Highly recommend if you're in the Dorchester/Fields Corner area!!!

As the place has been around along time now in the former Pho so 1 location in dorchester's fields corner. Of course the lady hasn't tried their signature Bo Ne sizzling plate yet so had to try! Onions jalepenos beef and pate with a sunny side up egg! Dig in with the bread and. Fries! Their chicken dishes are usually really good too so if you have the appetite, try some salt pepper chicken and rice dishes etc. they also have traditional Viet dishes so don't fret of those in your group don't eat beef or chicken. Many options. Service was always good for me the ladies working are always sweet and quick. The space is clean, bathrooms for patrons only and has classic Vietnamese music playing for the ambiance. Always a pleasure dining here.

Ordered delivery for context. We tried the bamboo chicken noodle soup with banana blossom salad, banh bot chien, grilled pork rice plate and spring rolls. Everything was great! One of the few places that has bot chien around here and they did a great job!

Location: not in the best location... I was looking forward to visit Little Saigon since we're from out of state but it's not the best place. Seems a bit stretchy and scary around walking around. FOOD: overall it was DELICIOUS A3. Cánh Gà Chiên Nước Mắm Fried Chicken Wing w/Fish Sauce B6. Cơm Chiên Gà Xối Mở - my son loved it. However, when I tried the rice, I can tell it was bad... My son couldn't tell. D4. Cơm Tấm Tôm & Thịt Nướng Broken Rice w/ Grilled Pork & Grilled Shrimp E12. Bún Bò Xào Lăn Vermicelli w/Stir Fried Beef M6. Bo ne was delicious! Came with a side of fries and Vietnamese baguette. Vegetables that layed on top was nothing special and was raw but still good nonetheless.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Boston. Came here with some friends for Sunday lunch a couple months ago and we still about that meal today. Loved every dish we got but our favorites were the bo ne and banh bot chien gion. The bo ne was delicious, it comes with the softest bread that you can use to dip into the pate and it all melts in your mouth. The beef was super tender as well. It's hard to find banh bot chien at viet restaurants so I had to order it when I saw they had it. Omg the rice cakes were so crispy and perfect, we almost bought a second one to-go but were too stuffed by the end of our meal. Can't wait to come back!

More of a 4.5! I used to come here a lot when I was in middle and high school when it was something else- after new ownership and the rebrand, I tried it again and it was okay, but recently I came back after craving their Bo Ne (Napoleon Beef aka Vietnamese steak and eggs) and wow was I kinda shocked. We order different shareable dishes amongst a group of 4 and we all had the same thoughts- food was a lot better than my first time after their rebrand. Not only that, but the service is amazing and above the expectations of Vietnamese restaurants. Our server asked if we were sharing certain dishes so she could bring our proper dish wars and utensils, and she was always on top of it with refilling our tea and making sure we had every thing we need. It's spacious with seats enough to fit small groups, so I'd recommend going with a few people so you can try different things! I recommend: Bó Nè A sizzling hot plate of marinated beef, pâté, egg, and garnishes. You eat it with a baguette and it's just wow It comes with crinkle cut fries (store bought but like still good :p). Ốc Len Xào Dừa AKA sea snails with coconut milk. Quite literally one of the Viet dishes you have to try the coconut milk is too good. Don't be afraid to really suck on the snail Bắp Xào Sautéed with butter and dried shrimp (for flavor and a Viet thing), what could be better?? *fyi isn't too sweet because Vietnamese corn isn't that sweet! Wash it down with some of the limeade and you're in for a good meal! Also not sure the full name but we also got this cheesy garlicky snails and it was 100/10

Any chicken dishes here is spot on, very juicy and tender. I think they are known for their chicken rice dish, and Bo Ne. I always got these two dishes when I am here. Don't order seafood dishes from here tho, like oc len xao dua. Not fresh, very little meat, and over priced. Staffs here are supper nice, and willing to help you with whatever you need, but some of them have hard time listening to the order request, so just be patient, please.

I've been to Saigon Chicken House couple of times and it's been pretty good each time I've been here. It's a no frills kind of place, but the service is nice. My go to items is the steak and eggs and the rice paper salad. For a place that specialized in Chicken, the steak and eggs is by far one of my favorite items on the menu. It comes out on a hot plate with eggs, pate, beef, and some vegetables. It's served with bread so you can rip it apart and dip in the dish. One of the other dishes I usually get is the rice paper salad. It's an acquired taste because of the texture in my opinion, but it's different and refreshing at times. It's just cut up rice paper that is tosses with sauce and vegetables with quail eggs on the side. I'll have to admit that there are times when the salad is a little salty though. The chicken and the chicken pho is okay as well. The chicken is juicy and flavorful and the chicken pho is very homey.

I recently tried Bún Măng Vịt at Saigon Chicken House and it was amazing! It was my first time having it, and I'm so glad I did. The duck was so tender and the broth was flavorful. My wife had the Napoleon beef dish was really good. The beef was on a sizzling skillet, the egg was cooked perfectly, and the bread roll was crispy. It was a satisfying and delicious meal. A worker was able to translate the dishes to English wish helped us with selecting and recommended pairings. Everything on the menu was traditional. I highly recommend it.

Went to the restaurant in a whim since I was in the area and probably one of the best decisions I made. I tired their Bo Ne (Vietnamese sizzling steak and eggs), which is the first time ever trying this dish and it did not disappoint. The dish came with a baguette and fries on the side and packed with so much flavor. Also had the Pho Tai with the thin slicked beef. (I was so glad it came with the option for a smaller size because this meal was so filling). The Pho was pretty good, could taste the flavor of the beef and onions in the soup that was not watered down or super salty like other Pho restaurants. I also saw a lot of Vietnamese dining in and carrying out so I'm pretty confident in its authenticity in Vietnamese cuisine. Seems like a great place to hang out with friends will a chill vibe. Also has a tremendous menu so plenty of things to try. But for the Bo Ne itself would definitely recommend.

    Pho tai gau
    Della S.

The bo ne is super popular here and I can understand why! I can't say no to a hot, sizzling plate of tender beef, rich and savory pate, and creamy fried eggs. Served with both bread and fries for dipping, this is amazing for enjoying as an entree alone or for sharing with friends! For 4 of us we each ordered our own entrees and split the XL bo ne. We were all stuffed by the end. I ordered a pho tai gau and was a little disappointed by the lack of flavor in the broth. Another person at my table ordered a rice dish which came with a side of chicken broth. I regretted getting a beef-based pho because the chicken broth was the most flavorful chicken broth I've ever had in my life! It would have been really good in pho. The meat portion in the pho was good but not super generous. Unless you are craving beef pho, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it (especially since there are much better options on the menu).

Came here on the whim and tried the napoleon beef (Bo ne) and it's quite a different experience. The beef is sliced thin so don't expect a thick cut or even chunks of beef cube like the Bo loc luc. The beef I got taste good but it did have some veins which made it but chewy. I got rice instead of bread. Hint: don't forget to butter up the beef if you like the buttery flavor of steak.

I loved that the crispy rolls were vegan but it was very taro (or potato?) heavy and the taro was just slightly undercooked. Pork looked and tasted old with not much flavor and no grilled taste. It was the most disappointing part of the meal. I ended up just tossing the pork out and eating the rest, which was tolerable with the fish sauce. Wish the fish had some fresh herbs - it only came with noodles, iceberg, cucumber, peanuts, and pickled carrots and daikon. Also wished the veggies were all cut the same way for a better cohesion in texture. The lettuce pieces were kinda large and the cucumbers were sliced into discs rather than strips like everything else. Fast service, but would recommend the noodles. I did see lots of other people getting the sandwiches, which is probably what I should have ordered.

We walked into a casual, straightforward space that makes it the type of place you stop by for a quick, warm meal rather than a long dining experience. The atmosphere is nice with a busy, fast-paced energy that fits the style of food being served. The menu covers many Vietnamese staples, including different styles of pho, bun bo hue, rice dishes, and vermicelli bowls, giving plenty of options depending on what you are craving. The main draw here is the pho, but it landed a bit differently than expected. The broth had a lighter profile compared to other pho spots, with less of that deep, aromatic richness that usually makes the dish stand out. It was still enjoyable as a warm noodle soup, but the flavor felt a little more muted and did not have the same depth as some other Vietnamese restaurants nearby. The beef quality was solid, and the portions of noodles and meat were reasonable, but the broth is the part that makes the biggest difference in pho, and here it leaned more subtle than bold. Beyond pho, the menu offers a good selection of other Vietnamese dishes. The bun bo hue is a nice option if you prefer something with more spice and stronger flavors, while the rice and vermicelli dishes provide alternatives to the usual noodle soup. The restaurant also offers familiar sides and drinks like Thai iced tea, which pair naturally with the meal. Service is generally quick and the restaurant has a busy, efficient style, especially during peak hours. The staff handles the steady flow of customers well, and the food comes out without much delay. The location makes it convenient for a casual meal, but the fast pace can sometimes make the experience feel a little rushed. Prices are also a bit higher compared to some other Vietnamese restaurants, especially considering the portion size and the lighter broth profile, which may not feel like the best value for what you get. Phở Pasteur is a convenient option for Vietnamese food in the area, especially if you are looking for a quick bowl of pho. The food is solid, but compared to other pho spots, the lighter broth and higher pricing make it harder to stand out. It works well for a casual meal, though there are other places nearby that offer a more memorable pho experience. For a straightforward, no-fuss stop when you are in the neighborhood, it fills the gap, but it does not quite reach the level of a destination pho spot.

When the food eventually arrived, they gave us sharing plates and chopsticks. We asked for a spoon to properly eat the claypot rice, and the waiter gave us another judging look. As Asians, we obviously know how to use chopsticks, but you objectively need a spoon to scoop the claypot SAUCE out of the pot! While the food itself is decent, the cramped atmosphere, poor hospitality, and inflated price tag mean I won't be rushing back. I might grab take out for the dumpling platter and cat fish rice pot but definitely not sitting in again.
