Nice, small Vietnamese shop. The Classic Banh Mi hit the spot on a hot day. The bread was hot and crispy while also soft inside, unlike some other places whose bread cuts your mouth haha. Unfortunately, they seem to be just a two-person team so orders did get backed up

I love this cozy mom-and-pop pho sit down restaurant. A friend introduced me to it when she was almost turned away for the night but was graciously allowed in for some pho. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the inviting atmosphere makes it feel like home. I enjoy discovering small businesses like this one, and it truly delivers on comfort. I can't wait to go back and try more items from the menu!

I only buy my banh mis from Ba Le in Dorchester, but it's not always an option as it is a bit of a drive for me. I decided to try Banh Mi K and it did not disappoint. I got the classic banh mi (viet cold cuts) and although it is more expensive than Ba Le it was still very good. We also got the viet iced coffee and thai tea and it was great. Service was very friendly. There are a couple tables and counter seating for you to sit inside. Totally recommend for your banh mi fix in Allston!

Amazing ! Got the ham banh mi and ordered it online and picked up super fast! Lots of pate which I love and the bread is nice and chewy without cutting into your mouth. I got one from here and one from another place nearby and preferred this one! Also good shape and easy to eat without all the fillings falling out.

Banh Mi K is an incredible addition to the Allston food scene. WE NEED MORE BANH MI! It looks like a little diner inside, very cute. The sandwiches are fantastic - crispy fluffy baguette with the perfect amount of meat and veggies. LOVE their special sauce. The vermicelli is also super flavorful, and the drinks are really well done too. I'll be back for pho and appetizers!

This review is ONLY for the sugar cane juice. I have not tried any of the food here yet. I was thrilled to see the sign outside shop's door pitching sugar cane juice. I grew up drinking fresh sugar cane juice in Hong Kong and Singapore and loved it. I have not seen this available anywhere in the US. So, I was really excited and ordered the $8 large bottle. I had asked beforehand if they had a machine that can extract the sugar cane juice and they said yes. As I watched the young woman start up the juicer, I noticed that she took out a big wedge of pineapple and put it into the juicer, and then she put in the sugar cane stalk. So, it's not 100% sugar cane juice. When I tried the juice, it tasted mostly of pineapple and, because of the sugar cane, it was very sweet. Unfortunately it did not have that natural sugar cane taste. I would not get it again.

Too much bread to meat ratio, and the bread was stale. Also, it was way too expensive to not be good at all.

We got the customer favorite: iced pandan matcha (with oat milk for preference) -- overall: good matcha color & flavor, pandan was not too sweet, ice ratio was good. My bf really enjoyed this one! I also got the Iced Saigonese -- strong viet coffee, still yummy with the sweetness & the foam on top enhanced the creaminess of the drink. We ordered the BBQ Pork Bahn Mi + egg, I would recommend adding the egg for sure! The egg was creamy & runny, giving it extra flavor. However, Bahn mi itself was not particularly special. We actually ordered the egg after tasting the Bahn mi & it was a little dry. Nice location, seating inside & outside but construction was happening outside, so it wasn't as enjoyable. I might get some angry comments for saying this but pho Viet has the best cold cut banh mi in all of Massachusetts!! I will post again when I go next time and get some pictures. As someone who was born and raised in Dorchester, And ba Le was the only spot we would go. With inflation and increase in cost, I felt like the quality just kept lacking. The cold cuts are extremely thin and lack amounts of butter and pate. Pho Viet banh mi are so filling the ham was the right about of thickness that it gives a good texture when you bite into it, the veggies are extremely fresh and not does look like it's been sitting out all day. You order at the counter, find a seat, and the food comes out pretty quickly. We had the summer rolls and the vegan ramen. The summer rolls were fresh and flavorful, and the peanut sauce was especially good. The vegan ramen was also enjoyable, with good-quality ingredients and a satisfying broth. My only real critique is that I wish there were more options to add heat. I tend to like my noodle soups on the spicier side, and I would have loved more chili oil, hot sauce, or other spicy condiments to customize the flavor. There was also SO much broccoli and that really took over the soup, I wish there was a bit more variability or balance in the veggies. Overall, the food was tasty, the quality was solid, and the service was fast.

Musician who served well known artist of history of American music instructed restaurant to serve me hot tea as well. After he was gone restaurant owner Vietnamese man brought me just smallest container with very little brown rice and his wife (?) brought me so little amount of colder than lukewarm bad tasting tea. I can not eat just brown rice. This is Grasshopper, mainly runs by two. And time to time part timers. Let's replace food court with great healthy restaurants options. They particularly use Kosher ingredients but combine with very non organic cheap ingredients. Stated by food expert. Owner lied to me that restaurant gives free meal for Hong Kong Supermarket workers whenever workers need food, but I confirmed Super Market Management says nothing is true. They don't even give left over food to no one. I don't know why owner has to lie to me. Also owner said I will get free meal if I bring friends and also mentioned if I promote them on FB and other platforms, all of my friends supporters get free meal, which is illegal for at least Yelp Community. These offerings never accepted from side. Buffet foods are not fresh. They started cook earlier in the week and some are just suggy and cold old. Then food sit there all day all evening until 8:30pm and owner once gave me super old cold food instead of trash it. Owner said I could take home. Since I was low on cash and had to eat old fried foods made me sick for a few days. I know I should not get free food to write review here but I think I should have report here. I take this matter very serious and I want you to consider about further actions against this restaurant. Another note from monthly Buffet, 4/18/26 is not happening as they skipped to May. Previous buffet table had crushed peanuts without signed name of what it is. I am afraid of some gets allergic reactions to peanuts without knowing what they eat. And lastly buffet table has no one is serving from restaurant side, when I saw buffet buyers without line digging food, every customer is doing own thing and restaurant doesn't supervise health concerns are very against the law in Massachusetts, probably against all law in this planet. Too bad !!

A great option to explore in Time Out market for some Asian fusion bowls…read more They offer bowls that are well-portioned (especially compared to the other vendors), are efficient in preparing orders, and have many different ways to customize the bowl to meet dietary preferences. There are also both raw and cooked options for the protein. Overall, the bowls are super flavorful, fresh, and filling. My go-to is usually the Japanese Donburi. Sometimes they are out of ingredients (commonly the salmon in my experience), but the variety they have on the menu is helpful to hopefully find a swap that fits your taste. Like the other options in Time Out, you can sit either inside or outside and after ordering, they will give you a buzzer. Just head over to the counter to pick-up when the buzzer goes off, but otherwise you can eat anywhere in Time Out. It can definitely get loud and crowded depending on the time of day or if there is an event around (like Red Sox games). I have still had pretty efficient service even when it is crowded. We walked into a clean, modern space with a straightforward ordering setup that makes it a convenient spot for a quick meal. The interior is functional and uncluttered, designed around efficiency rather than lingering, and the presentation of the bowls is appealing, with each dish arriving neatly composed. We tried one of the bowls and found the ingredients themselves to be fresh and well prepared, but the seasoning leaned a bit on the salty side, which made some of the components feel less balanced than expected. The portion was decent, though for the price, it felt slightly overpriced compared to what you get. The flavors were enjoyable but did not stand out as much as we had hoped, and the overall dish felt more like a solid, dependable option rather than something memorable. The proteins were cooked well, and the vegetables added a nice crunch, but the sauce distribution could have been more even to avoid pockets of intense saltiness. Service was quick and the setup works well for a grab-and-go meal, with the staff moving efficiently through the line and the order coming together without much delay. It is a convenient option if you are already in the area and looking for something fast, but the value and seasoning could use some improvement. The space stays comfortable even during busy periods, and the overall experience is smooth and straightforward, though it leans more toward practicality than culinary excitement.
