Le's is a staple in Harvard square! The food is pretty good. Nothing that takes my breath away, but it's good if you're feeling in the mood for pho!

Le's Vietnamese is not a bad restaurant overall. I ordered the grilled shrimp, pork, and crispy spring roll vermicelli, and the portion size was pretty solid. The shrimp was nicely grilled, the pork was flavorful, and the spring roll was up to par. However, the protein to vermicelli ratio felt a little uneven, with a bit too much plain noodle. They also didn't give me enough fish sauce, so about half the time I was eating flavorless vermicelli, which was a bit disappointing.

Tbh more like a 3.5/5 Food: My friend got like a salmon plate and you could tell the salmon wasn't fresh it was frozen. Also the broth of the pho was okay not really flavorful. The spring rolls and fresh were both good! Service: They we're extremely kind and fast Ambiance: it's like inside a a food court, there's plenty of seating inside for big groups.

Came here with a friend when I was visiting. Food was good and did not have a wait on Friday night when we arrived around 7pm. Lots of space.

Avoid going here if you're under schedule. Food was decent, three of us got two beef phos and a veggie pho with a glass of sake. Broth was alright and food tasted like any other Vietnamese restaurants in town. But I was really disappointed with the attenttiveness/speed of servers here, it took them so long to gave us a glass of sake and no one came and checked on us during the service, even though the business was not busy at all.

Are the restaurants at 137 Brighton Ave in Allston and 36 JFK St. in Cambridge run by the same people?

Apparently. I believe the Brighton location was the original Pho Pasteur about 30+ years ago, with locations in Harvard Square and Chinatown following. When Pho Pasteur was sold, a member of the original family retained ownership of the Harvard… Read more

They generally require you to order before sitting given the small space so keep that in mind when you arrive. Service is friendly and very quick. Their food is delicious and refreshing, however I'd say the star of the show is their coffee. I really enjoyed the Saigon latte especially paired with the DELICIOUS pastry. Definitely want to come back to try their dinner menu!

The restaurant had a really great ambiance, and I enjoyed being able to watch the chefs prepare the food. We ordered the ginger cabbage salad, the coconut eggplant, and the duck noodles. I would have loved to have tried their sushi grade salmon, but they were unfortunately sold out for the night. So I would recommend arriving earlier if you would like to try it. My favorite dish was the duck noodles. I liked the freshness of the basil in the pesto, and the tenderness and juiciness of the duck. The coconut eggplant was a close second favorite. The coconut flavor was delicious, and I liked the nuts on top for crunch. I also found the ginger cabbage salad to be yummy, but not as much as a standout as the other two dishes. Overall, I really enjoyed this spot for dinner. I liked how fresh everything was, and how the dishes felt very light and healthy. It's definitely a bit on the pricier side, but I found it to be very worth it. I definitely come back and try their lattes and other dishes.

I might get some angry comments for saying this but pho Viet has the best cold cut banh mi in all of Massachusetts!! I will post again when I go next time and get some pictures. The only thing I'd say is that this is a bit pricier than some of the other Vietnamese places I've been to, but it's definitely a place I'll be back to often. Beef Pho ($15.95) - The broth here is great - so nice and savory. You can tell that it simmers for a really long time to get all of that flavor from the bones. It has a bit of a sweet note to it as well which is a bit more than I'm used to, but I really liked it still. There was a good amount of meat, and the whole soup experience was great, especially for takeout. They did skimp on the bean sprouts and herbs with takeout though - it was a pretty small amount of veggies, but still a really solid pho. Banh Mi ($9.75) - Yes, the price is a bit high for this one as well but the size was HUGE. The pickled veggies were perfectly sweet and tart, and the cilantro added a nice freshness with the cucumbers. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the balance of flavors here was really spot on. And, like I said, it was HUGE. Definitely not the cheapest Vietnamese food I've had, but also absolutely delicious - I will be back!
