Tasty but oh so expensive. I have the privilege of living near Boston and have options for pho and banhmi but for the Burlington area- I think this is a solid choice. This is the most expensive banhmi I have ever ordered and while tasty, it's not mind blowing. The pho was also good but for $25, I have complaints that the noodles were a bit over done and broke into small pieces when we got it. The service was quick- perfect for lunch during the middle of a work day and has enough seating to not need to wait.

This has been on the To Try List for a little over a month. Today we had time. Stopped in and got the wicked rice bowl w chicken and honey had the beef rib pho. We ordered on the tablet in the front and found a seat. The food came out in a very timely manner. The gentlemen that served us made sure to bring all the accouterments for the Pho. The restaurant itself was cute and quaint. Overall the food isn't worth the price in my opinion.

Viet Citron is a family favorite. The food here is a step above what I expect for a casual restaurant. The pho soups and banh mi sandwiches are so tasty and, from my admittedly non-native palate, all made perfectly. The turmeric chicken is grilled to perfection and my picky toddler loves it. The tofu is crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The banh mi baguettes tasted soft and fresh. I look forward to coming back here!

That juicy pork rib!! So good! Whenever we want bah mi or pho we run to Viet Citron! The restaurante is located in a small shopping plaza with parking. When you walk in they have tablets where you can place your order. We were craving bah mi this time and got their pork rib bah mi with a side of crispy rolls. After placing the order we found seating and then waited for our food to be delivered to our table. It took a while to get our bah mi because they were pretty busy that night but it was so worth the wait! The pork was juicy, cooked perfectly and it was packed with flavor! We each got big chunks of the rib and enjoyed pulling the meat from the bone to construct our bah mi sandwich. The rolls were nice and crunchy and the dipping sauce was very tasty!!

I have been to this place a few times now. I like the ambiance of the place. You can see the cooks preparing the items. I liked the phos I had there: the farm chicken pho and the beef pho. The beef pho was amazing. The beef broth had an amazing depth of the flavor. I guess the 48 hour cooking makes it so that all the flavors leech out into the deep dark broth. It was surprisingly packed with umami. The chicken pho, while not as deep in flavor, was warming and comforting. The meat in both these pho dishes were cooked perfectly. The noodles were good too. I was mostly a fan of the beef broth. I also tried their fried pork belly banh mi. That is one rich dish. The skin was crackling and the meat was moist. The banh mi bread and the sweet pickled vegetables paired well with the pork belly, helping cut through the fat. All in all, you should give this place a shot.

We had a craving for pho and decided to try viet citron. It is a tiny place with a few tables. We passed by a million times and never tried before. We tried pho with beef brisket, with additional beef tendon. The soup was tasty, vegetables were fresh, the pho was served hot. We also tried crispy pork belly, which was truly crispy with crunchy skin, but it was a bit greasy. I probably would not order it again. This place was really busy during peak hour. The serves were nice. The food was served in reasonable time. But I was surprised by the price. It was on the high end for pho, although the quality was amazing.

My sister says this is one of her favorite places to grab pho on a weekly basis, staying brand loyal even after a move. We were all feeling like we needed a warm bowl of noodle soup, so we finally took her up on the recommendation. The small restaurant was busy when we walked in. There's a main table for a larger group & several smaller tables around it as well as in the back/side of the order counter. We chose one of the side tables so could see the staff putting together takeout or delivery orders and bringing dishes to in-store patrons. I got the everything pho (pho dac biet). I thought it was a perfect portion size (usually they are so large it's intimidating) & had a good amount of meat, as well as yummy broth but I wouldn't say it's my best bowl. Based on their pho though, I can imagine how tasty their banh mi's would be.

The decor was bright and inviting. Very clean. The food was amazing I got the pork bahn mi ( loved the extra crispy pork skin such an amazing surprise) & mama's tran cha gio Self service with ordering at the counter with no greeting. I think the staff should at least acknowledge patrons..."Good afternoon! First time here? Need help ordering with the computer ? May I suggest some of my favorites?".. just a thought. Personalizing the experience goes a long way. I will return though! Best Bahn mi I ever had

We went to Viet Citron at the Bow Market this past weekend since the weather was so nice. We got the chicken banh mi and the banh hoi bowl with sirloin. The meats were seasoned well and very tender. The staff were very nice, and we were able to order from a kiosk. The staff answered our questions and were very helpful. I really liked seeing the Vietnamese aunties outside wrapping spring rolls. Was happy to support them. The food is good quality, but a little on the pricey side for Vietnamese food. At the Bow Market location, seating is limited inside and depending on how busy it is outside, might also be limited. It's a very nice ambiance though when it's nice weather. Definitely worth trying though we really enjoyed it!

The pho here is good--rich broth and solid portions--but it can be a bit pricey, and service is on the slower side. If you're not in a rush, it's worth it. Also recommend trying the bún đậu--surprisingly tasty!

Viet Citron Review Location: 47 Middlesex Turnpike, Burlington, MA 01803 (near Burlington Mall) If you're craving authentic Vietnamese flavors, Viet Citron is a must-visit spot! While it leans toward a grab-and-go vibe, their food speaks volumes. Here's what we tried: Crispy Pork Belly Banh Mi (8/10) This was a solid take on a classic! The artisan Vietnamese baguette was perfection--crispy outside, fluffy inside. The combo of pickled veggies, jalapeños, cilantro, signature aioli, and garlic soy reduction hit all the right notes. The flavors were spot on, but the pork belly was a little too fatty for my taste. At $12, it's a great deal for a satisfying sandwich! Pho (10/10) The *star* of the show! Their pho is on another level--cooked for 48 hours, and you can taste every bit of effort in the broth. Rich, aromatic, and comforting, it comes with a side of fresh veggies and dipping sauce. Whether you're new to pho or a seasoned fan, this is a must-try. A bowl will fill you up for the day, and at $18, it's worth every penny. Spring Rolls (9/10) Crispy, golden perfection! These fried delights were light, flavorful, and impossible to go wrong with. A great appetizer to share or enjoy solo. --- Overall Thoughts Food: 9/10 Ambiance: 4/10 (Grab-and-go setup with limited seating, but functional!) Affordability: 8/10 If you're shopping at Burlington Mall, skip the food court and head here instead! A giant bowl of pho or a fresh banh mi will leave you satisfied without breaking the bank. What's your go-to Vietnamese dish? Pho? Banh Mi? Spring Rolls? Let me know!

Banh hoi (left) and sirloin banh mi (right)
    Megan H.

I grew up in SoCal and grew up eating very authentic viet food. Banh hoi is pretty hard to find in the US, and I actually haven't seen it anywhere besides California! My boyfriend and I split the banh hoi with crispy pork belly and the banh mi with sirloin. The banh hoi was delicious and filling, pretty much on par with the banh hoi I've had in california. The pork belly was perfectly crispy and juicy. It was also still refreshing and not too heavy because of the fish sauce. The banh mi was also really good, since the beef was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was on the pricier side, so if you were to just get one item from here, def try the banh hoi!

The fish sauce helps, but I wasn't a fan of the chicken marinade. Overall Service: I usually end up circling the food court and somehow wind up here, mostly because it's the only Vietnamese stall.
