This experience was a little bit of a roller coaster. The spicy thai basil chicken (kapow kai) was DELICIOUS. However the takeout portion was tiny and left me wanting more. The beef satay were more like a heavy chinese bbq style rather than what most do for a thai satay around here. It was good but not what i expected. They color the sticky rice light blue which my husband called bantha milk rice LOL. This was my first time here and there were signs saying under new management - its unclear just how new. Easy online ordering, text alerts when your order is ready. Aggressive text alerts actually... i got 3 stating my order was ready while I was trying to find parking... This is the homiest, cutest Thai restaurant I've seen in New England, and the food is amazing. We got treated to crispy egg rolls on the house to start, which is unheard of in the city. I got Khao Soi which was just the right amount of spicy, and I can only handle a small amount of spiciness compared to Thai standards. The chicken on top was super crispy. The serving size was big so I couldn't finish the entire bowl. One of my friends got boat noodles, which were great, and another friend got their standard pad thai, which I would get next time I'm craving pad thai. The Cripsy Pad Thai was something I had not seen before. The noodles themselves super crispy like they were separately deep fried, so it barely felt like a noodle dish. We also got thai iced tea and thai iced coffee and loved those as well. The mango sticky rice was so cute and delicious. When we paid they gave us each a brown sugar boba mochi. Overall, just such a gem of a pop and pop shop with lovely service and great food. There were only a few tables, so could only fit about three or four parties depending on the size. Even though it's a homey place the plates for the pad thai were beautiful. I wish I lived closer so I could go back or order takeout from them more often. read more

Their pineapple fried rice might be one of my favorite dishes, light flavor and lots of fried cashew! Their crispy fried chicken is also excellent. Downtown Woburn has become pretty Asian centric which makes us very happy. Replacing a former Thai restaurant, Plearn Park doesn't miss a beat in terms of matching its predecessor and in fact, brings even more variety to the restaurant scene with some much needed ramen. We have been crowing for years, "such and such place is great, but nobody offers really good ramen". Salem or Boston Cambridge were how far we would venture for the rich broths that make your tummy so happy. While we did like the former Thai restaurant and remember its ghost well, PPE does them even one better! Tucked away on Main St. and surrounded by multiple other restaurants, parking isnt the easiest but depending on the time of day, you should be able to snag a parallel spot on one of the main drags through here. You hit the double doors and are smack dab in the middle of a quaint sit-down area with a welcome booth where most of the takeout hand-offs take place. We were seated quickly with two children and out came a complimentary plate of fried wonton wrappers with duck sauce. We asked to get an appetizer in quickly for a hangry toddler and it was rushed out to us in mere minutes. The flash fried spring rolls were crunchy and brimming with cabbage. Next up were some roti & curry dip and edamame. The green pods were boiled to perfection with just the perfect amount of salt with the curry dip being the star of the show. The menu warns it's spicy but we didn't catch much of a hint of it. Our young one, a pretty picky eater, kept downing the roti so we asked for a second plate of it, also good because of how much curry sauce you get with it. I could have a meal of like three orders of these, it's that good. As I stated, we are ramen lovers so each of us tried a different flavor. We ended up with one Miso and one Shoyu. With the meal paced nicely, out came the main courses. There was a lot of egg to be had but it was a bit short on the excellent and deep broth, and the pork was just a tiny bit overcooked. The seaweed comes in sheets and just melts into the soup where you hardly notice it. I could do without corn but this is fairly standard.....dark greens would be a nice touch. Our server struck up conversations with us and really interacted with the kids, she was so great and they seem very happy owning the new location. They are putting out excellent fare, whether they be Indian, Thai, or Japanese. Highly recommended, like many of the other haunts on this small hidden gem block of Woburn. If you enjoy ramen and are in Burlington to Reading, you have a new spot that will shine quite nicely. read more

I went here during lunchtime and had their glass noodle dish with katsu chicken, their green Thai curry, and their curry fried rice. They give nice big portions and the food is extremely flavorful. My 3rd experience tonight with Plearn Park. and was take away. First time was in October dining in when my sister visited. She enjoyed a noodle soup and we had the veggie rolls to start. Veggie rolls were a tad greasy for my tastes but overall OK. I enjoyed chicken red curry. Again on my 2 take away orders, I have ordered chicken red curry. It is delicious, and they add white rice, and also as a treat, they include 2 Asian cookies. I like the people who run this restaurant and even though slightly out of the way, totally worth the drive for this delicious Thai food ----highly recommend Plearn Park!! read more

I love this place. I'm so happy I discovered it!!!! I was going to a different local Thai place but this is better. Not the same menu you get at EVERY Thai place and really authentic. I got the moo ping pork, kohlrabi salad , and dumplings. My boyfriend got the pineapple fried rice with crispy chicken and he loved it. While its crunch and amazing but not for the faint of heart both in spice and in fishy-ness. It was so effing spicy I could only eat tiny amounts but I love it. I could hear them chopping it right after I ordered and I could taste how fresh it was! While the food is really amazing, the service is even more exceptional. The folks are so sweet and welcoming. They even remembered my and my bf's allergies from the first time we came. And he wasn't even here! She reminded me when I was getting his food to go. They're just lovely. The BEST Thai around! Whoever Mommy is - she deserves a Michelin for the special dishes and seasonings. Their noodle selection cannot be beat. The chive dumpling app is delicious. The service is warm and generous. Super low key environment. Side note: this restaurant space has always had an awkward restroom layout that I wish the landlord would tweak for these and future tenants. I hope this was just a bad night, but the food was just flavorless, very little (ex: shrimp was $13.99 for 3 shrimp), and quite disappointing. The Veggie Ramen may be the worst/most flavorless ramen I've ever had. (If you want to compare, try a vegetarian ramen from the "Soup Shack" in Porter Square or Ganko Ittetsu Ramen in Brookline). This one is not even in the realm of "ok". Here it tasted like clear water and veggies. There was absolutely no flavor. It's shocking because even the nori had no taste. The tofu was also fried to death and had the consistency of what one would imagine leather to have. The Veggie Noodle Soup was also disappointing, but better - on par with what you expect from instant noodles. The tofu was also fried to death. This was at least salty. It makes me sad if others think this is good (or even ok). ramen. It literally may be the worst we have had to date :( The Shrimp in the Garden was VERY flavorful and good!! The only gripe was the cost to size (3 shrimp for $14). But otherwise fantastic and grilled/smoky flavor. If you are ok with the size to price - absolutely worth getting! The Pyramid Rangoon was just overly deep fried + half empty/fry. Otherwise I can see it being good. The Plearn Park Fried Rice was good. Wish it had more veggies, but otherwise flavorful. Again, hoping this is a one off, but no one in our party wants to come back for anything :( read more

I had placed an online order and they finished making the order in about 10 mins (even though there was an ETA of 20 mins, when I drove over I realized I messed up my online order and they graciously made the order again with the customizations. They asked just for me to include it in comments next time but allowed me to keep the other dish that I had ordered (the one that I ordered incorrectly). It was...alright. Some good, some bad. Of course, our visit was only 2 days after they opened so some wonkiness was to be expected. Food was generally good. Some was a little bland some was just right. Complimentary drinks were a nice touch, but we were offered glasses of water which had a strong taste of dish detergent. I was fully expecting our kidneys to shut down overnight but we all survived. The team that seemed to be owners/operators were VERY nice and seemed sincerely thankful that we (the only people in the whole place on a Friday night) gave them a chance and even said so before we left. All in all, an ok start that I'm sure will be a perfectly welcome addition to Woburn center once they get their sea legs. read more

I am OBSESSED with their yellow curry with tofu. If I could eat it daily I honestly would. Decided to try this place recently and it did not disappoint. Great flavors and value and service. The Siracha Pad Thai was very good. Perfect level of spice and sweetness and the noodles were cooked really well. Penang Curry was on the spicier side but was surprisingly not overly sweet. It had a great balance of salty, spicy and sweet. The Thai tea was quality, and super delicious. The best part about this place is the fact they give you a free upsize on take out drinks compared to other places. This is the only Thai spot in Boston that I can find so far that gives you a larger drink size compared to the 8oZ. Only complaint I have is the portions could be a tad bigger, but they are still average for the price. Highly recommend this place. What a great find. read more

I heard from my friend that this restaurant just change new owner but use same name as Plearn Park so I decide to try it out. I am so glad that we try it. We order Yen Ta Fo noodle, Pichit Noodle, Grill Rib, Wonton Soup, Sriracha Pad Thai, pad ped pla and crispy chicken basil for main course. Sea food noodle soup or yen ta flour is super good. It is very Authentic and taste like what I have in Thailand. The portion is good and the price is reasonable. My husband love their Moo Ping which is grill pork in skewer. A friend and I visited this establishment for lunch. It was cold and raw outside and we were craving something warming. This place fit the bill. We were seated and immediately brought some hot green tea that was periodically refilled. My friend got a chicken soup with rice noodles and asked for no crispy garlic on top. The chef complied with the request. I got green curry noodle soup with chicken. Our soups were really delicious. They were also generous portions. Plearn Park is a newly opened Vietnamese restaurant. Decided to drop-in one evening as I was craving for a noodle soup. This restaurant is run by Vietnamese owners and chefs. I tried their wonton noodle soup. The wontons and soup base were fine but the noodle was on the soft side, Vietnamese style. Tried it for the first time and loved it. Great food. I had fried rice with Shrimps, Basil, Egg and some other goodies. My wife had the drunken noodles with duck. Both dishes were very fresh and very tasty. Oh, and the deserts, sticky rice and mango, and then on top of all that fried banana, on the house... Both were delicious!!!
