I've been coming to Pho 1 for years and I'm surprised I never got around to writing a review. This is my go-to pho spot. It's a cute and smaller restaurant with great decor, quick service, and consistently good food. I usually order either the beef noodle pho or the shredded chicken pho with dumplings inside. I've also had the spring rolls and gyoza. Everything I've tried here has been fresh and delicious. The Thai tea is also a must-try if you like sweeter tea drinks. I've always have a great experience here and will definitely keep coming back. read more

As others note small, but a cozy and quiet neighborhood place. We were quickly greeted and chose a table by the window. Folks note limited parking but certainly more and easier than at the Woburn Mall's horror show and you can always park at the empty lot of CVS. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful. This is a BYOB and they delivered two wine glasses promptly. I had the Penang curry with duck and it was fantastic. Large pieces of perfectly cooked tender duck accompanied by freshly cooked rice. My son had the wonton soup and advised the broth and veg was welll prepared but a touch overloaded with noodles. Overall quite pleased and will return. read more

This place is so bad. I don't think I've ever had worse Viet food until I came to Pho 1. Service is fine, although I believe the workers/owners were all Thai, which is fine but not expected at a Vietnamese restaurant? Maybe this place is more Thai/Viet fusion because I did notice a lot of the popular menu items were Thai noodle dishes. Anyhow, I got their Bun Bo Hue and it came out with sad pieces of sliced beef? What?? Nothing like what real bun bo hue should be like. Super inauthentic. And their pho lacked a lot of flavor - pretty watery. Maybe come to Pho 1 if you want Thai food? read more

I was craving Vietnamese food but this place fell a bit short. I got bun thit nuong cha gio (grilled pork and spring rolls on vermicelli noodles) and noticed that there was an extra charge for extra spring rolls which isn't something you usually see on a menu. But when I got my food, I understood why- there was only a very small spring roll on the dish and it definitely wasn't the portions that I'm used to getting from other restaurants. The port didn't have the traditional lemongrass flavor that I'm used to with this dish either so overall it was a miss. read more

Had the pho dac biet and fresh rolls and they were okay. I liked the pho more than the fresh rolls, especially the brisket meat, but wished it had been served hotter, and there was barely onions or cilantro in it. The noodles in the pho completely fell apart for some reason, so there wasn't any slurping because they kept breaking. I ended up using my spoon to scoop up the noodles. While the ambiance was cozy, the service was kind of frosty. Not sure I'll be returning. read more

Small restaurant with a mom and pop vibe! Wide variety of food options ranging from pho to Indonesian fried rice to thai curries. Our servers were quick and attentive, despite it being busy on a Sunday afternoon. We got banh xeo, banh mi chien tom, pho dac biet, and soy garlic chicken wings with a side of fries. The banh xeo didn't have a lot of flavor and was a bit disappointing. However, the banh mi chien was crispy and a good mix of sweet and savory. We shared a large pho dac biet which came with a lot of broth and noodles, and left us very stuffed. The chicken wings were a bit too fried to my liking, but the fries were nicely fried. Not alot of street parking. Inside looks crammed. Ordered Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio with beef tenderloin. Not the best bun I've had. Beef was kind of dry and it doesn't have the grill marks and taste that I am use to for bun at other viet restaurants. Not bad by any means but I know other restaurants have done it better. Overall, this spot is not exactly in a good location imo because of the parking situation. Doesn't seem like a spot i would dine in neither. Food is mid compared to other viet spots just based on the bun. read more

Then, once I came back home the second time I come to realize that there was no noodle for the pho so I had to call them back which I didn't get any refund and was requested to come back for the third time. This place is on rotation for my family. It's the signature lunch spot when my son is home from college. We love the Pho, fried chicken appetizers, and rice dishes. Service is always fast and the staff are kind. It's a simple space, but feels like the kind of place where you just know the food is authentic. Intimate restaurant that can seat maybe 20 people max. Not too loud, so great for dining with room to have good conversations. Prices are really reasonable. Note they close for an afternoon staff break (around 3pm). A must try! read more

Nice little find with a nice mix of Asian cuisines. We opted for an appetizer of summer rolls (fresh ingredients) and then two combo platters of pad see ew and pad Thai. Each came with soup and two apps. We did the crispy rolls and dumplings. All was very good. The pad Thai was our favorite with a real unique look and flavor. Literally the best pho I've ever had, hands down. I had the duck pho and I couldn't believe just how flavorful and well-spiced the broth was, with notes of cinnamon and cardamom while still managing to be hearty and savory. The duck portion literally fell apart it was so tender, honestly couldn't be more satisfied with my meal, just absolutely delish on a cold day. It looks unassuming from the outside but don't let that stop you, the ingredients are super fresh, the waitstaff is chill and service is prompt and no-frills great. Go check it out ! read more

I been having delicious take outs here in the past year since I moved up to the area. It doesn't look much from the outside and interior but the food is definitely authentic and tasty. The prices are quite fair as well. I usually get their Dac Biet but last time their Bun Bo Hue has proven to be really good. Although I have to say for noodle soups definitely worth your time eating it there fresh. The noodle tends to curl up a in separate container and the soup taste much better reheated when you get home. However these setbacks does not affect their excellent food qualities. Its a little hassle to find parking around the street but normally there are spots on the same street. read more

We tried this place after googling to find a pho restaurant in the woburn area. This restaurant came up as highly recommended. The setting is nice, although won't recommend for big parties. The place is rather small more suited for smaller parties. We had about we had 7 adults and 3 kids. It was definitely a tight squeeze but the waiter was nice and accommodated. The people working there are super nice and friendly. However the food is mediocre at best. We ordered pho bowls and rice dishes. All lacked flavor. I do recommend this place if you need a quick fix for Vietnamese food. But if you want more flavorful food, i recommend making the drive to malden. There are tons of great options. I also heard lowell also have some good restaurants however I haven't tried so i would definitely lean towards going to malden. read more

My little brother has been telling my family about this place for the past year or so. He and his friends love it, and now we all understand why! Everything we ordered this evening was incredibly fresh and piping hot. Service is a tad slow, but everything seems to be made to order, so that is alright by me. I started with the Viatnamese iced coffee, which was a treat in and of itself. Strong coffee sweetened just right with sweetened condensed milk. We sampled steamed shumai, edamame and calamari as appetizers and each ordered a different kind of soup for dinner. Each bowl was steaming and chock full of flavor. I ordered the Tom Yum Noodle Soup with shrimp and extra vegetables. Highly recommend! The vegetables were perfectly cooked -- brightly colored and just enough bite in them. The broth was fragrant, spicy, sweet and sour. It was a bit lighter than Tom Yums I've had in other places, which I appreciated. It allowed me to enjoy more of the heaping bowl (and yes, I still had enough leftover to fill a larger soup container! I am already looking forward to lunch tomorrow.) Everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My oldest brother enjoyed a shrimp and vegetable fish in spicy basil sauce, which was excellent as well. We are looking forward to bringing my dad in, who was unable to join but will definitely love the soups as much as we did! This place is my go-to for takeout. I love their mi wonton soup and fresh spring rolls. My husband goes for the pad thai and dumplings. But honestly, I haven't ordered anything from their menu that I didn't like. They even have homemade Boba for bubble tea. The indoor seating options are somewhat limited. It wouldn't be good for a large group. But it's a cozy little restaurant that has consistently been making great food for quite some time. I highly recommend. read more

After the new ownership I have visited first time at this restaurant, before I have come here over 55~60 times with family and work friends in five + years. Today's experience at this restaurant was the WORST in my 50 years of eating outside. This is Vietnamese & Thai cuisine, but all food by new ownership was Chinese and no closer to the original ownership at this location. Salmon fish and chicken were "OVER COOKED" very hard to eat or chew. 50% pineapples and cucumber were added and this also overcooked and ruined the food taste with excess of sweet and savor sauce. This place used to be decent , haven't been in about a year everything has gone way down hill and the portions are much smaller. My favorite pork summer rolls had one tiny peice of pork in with brown lettuce, the peanut sauce was thick and goopy. Pho is one of those truly comforting meals that you crave when it's cold and gloomy out. I was very pleased that Pho 1 delivered! We ordered the scallion pancakes and vegetarian pho with tofu. Pleasantly surprised! The restaurant itself is small and unassuming, with maybe 10 or so tables. Prices are very reasonable- pretty cheap here. Service was honestly the slowest I've ever experienced at a pho place (it's usually lightning fast) but the food was worth the wait. We got pho and drunken noodles. The pho broth was delicious and very flavorful. The drunken noodles was also super tasty and spicy. Noodles were cooked well. Chicken could have been better- I like a more consistent coating.
