so I have mixed feelings with these folks. I've mostly done my own installs for years, but just don't have the time anymore for the trial and errors that typically suck up a lot of the time so decided to try out a professional installer. I had them do a relatively straight forward install - receiver, amp, a couple of accessories, usb port run and a custom sub box. Also, had a custom wiring request on top of that.
I'll say that I'm very happy about the custom wiring job for my backup lights, the build and tune of the subbox itself is superb. Customer service was good, thanks to the person I was working with, but ultimately did not resolve my issues. What I'm not happy about is the lack of attention to detail. I wanted an OEM look, which I mostly got, but was unhappy about the finish of the sub... picky stuff, but when I'm spending over a grand for a subbox outside of a $100 for one on ebay, I had a high expectations on getting what I wanted. I also have an issue with the going back and forth with one of the installers around the USB install. They were to install a USB both for my phone, and a secondary to connect with the OEM USB port. The primary connection was good, and it had a nice OEM finish. The second was a bit of a hack job with the adapter they used, which wasn't even compatible with my vehicle. I didn't have much time when I picked it up, but found that they hadn't even tested it prior to me writing the final check and then finding that it didn't work then. The installer swore up and down that there wasn't any other adapters out there that'd work, however I knew from one of the forums I'm a member of that there was, and had to order and install it separately myself. Guess what, worked like a charm (still waiting on my refund for that bogus adapter after a month)! Btw- when I went to install that adapter, is when I saw that they hadn't even screwed in the mounting adapter fully, 2 of the 6 screws wasn't holding in the harness. I was also annoyed with them telling me that I needed to purchase a separate DSP to make my lossy music sound better, when (based on what I told them I was looking for) the built-in DSP just needed to be set and tweaked to reach my needs. One guy kept harping about how awesome a 40k install sounded, which I'm sure it sounded pretty awesome. People spend 100's of thousands to achieve that "perfect" sound, but that's not what I was looking for. so sorry that my 3-4K wasn't enough here...
Again, this is all picky stuff, I get it. I got the sound I wanted, I can take care of the "finish" look myself, however what ultimately got me was that they were working with me to correct some of this stuff, I had an appointment to bring it back to fix the carpeting issues I had. Again, in looking for the OEM look, the styles they had didn't quite fit, but I had found one that was very close and was looking to get an answer from them on if that'd work. Was told after dropping off a sample, that'd they get back to me, no call back.... so called the morning of my appt. Again, was told that they'd get back to me, and guess what... no call back. After that, I just stopped trying as don't have the patience nor time to try and get these guys to adhere to good customer service.
Overall, I'd say if you had 40+ grand to spend or that you ensure to spend time prior to making that final payment in reviewing that they did everything you asked for and to your expectations, you'll most likely be pretty happy. I made the mistake of not allowing enough time at pickup to ensure that I looked over everything before writing the final check (they ended up taking an extra 2 days to ensure the install was "great"). I've seen some amazing installs, and looks like these guys have done some too... again, maybe I just didn't spend enough with them. read more
