I read a bunch on the interwebs about how this was a bad idea, it was gonna screw up my low voltage battery system, the battery management system was gonna freak out. All sorts of horrific things were likely to happen. But Tim's had enough recent experience with EVs to know with the 12V batteries (not the Lithium Ion 16V or higher in some news EVs) - it was likely to work just fine. He whipped up a quote based on experience, and gave me the peace of mind to say, "Hey if it doesn't work - we'll customize according to some of the specs you're seeing online". Great! So I dropped it off a few months ago, the install went swimmingly and as planned, and I've had it thumping the hell outta my car ever since with not a single complain from the car's battery management system. Woot! Well done, Tim! Thank you!

Service Rep immediately said nothing they had would help make my "Amazon" purchase work with the factory set up. I was on the speaker while she was in the shop and said the camera worked fine connected to the factory wiring, I just needed to extend the cables to get it to the location I wanted. Service Rep started talking louder and trying to "overtalk" both of us telling us we were wrong and that it would not work. Hung up and wife left the store. Bought the cables (under $20) I wanted/needed online that I found through other car audio vendors and they work like magic. Guess Safe and Sound only wants to sell "systems" and big ticket installs and not help the "DIY-er". Won't be back to talk with loud mouth Service Reps. Hot rods are for rich guys and gals so I'm sure a hot rod shop is gonna take advantage of me,…read moreright? WRONG! I bought my 34 Ford Fordor hot rod out of Montana and after having it shipped here it didn't run very well. With trepidation I took it to All American Street Rods. What I found was a group of guys who are living their passion. After a good inspection Dave went through the list of things he thought I should consider having fixed. There was no pressure and the rates were very reasonable. The 327 came out running like a top and everything they recommended and fixed made the car drive that much better. "All American" is appropriately placed in the shop's name as they remind me of the America I grew up in. Good, honest, hard working folks that treat you right. I highly recommend them. Warning: If you aren't careful you will end up with new friends and maybe an extra car or two.
