The TLDR is that the techs are slow, dont show up on time, and they WILL mess up something in your car. Never recomending this place. Our technician was almost an hour late to our original appointment. Then after installing our new backup camera and radio our AC suddenly isnt working properly. I called our technician about 15 minutes after he left to let him know. He told us this was an easy fix and he could be back that same evening. We waited and he eventually texted us saying he couldnt make it and would come by the following morning. Morning comes by and he hasnt even texted us. I reach out to him to get an ETA. He tells us 1pm. Its now 2pm and we still havent heard from him. EDIT: He called us at 4 saying he was less than 30 minutes away, and didnt get here until almost 5pm. What the hell kind of scheduling is this? 3 reschedules and he's late for every single one. I dont know about your other customers but I have stuff to do during the day. I cant just sit around and wait for someone who has no time management. Ive got errands that I need to run, jobs I need to finish, and groceries and meds I need to buy for my elderly father. Your techs need to be on time and professional. I clear off my schedule and make myself available. They have to do the same. Your tech told me "Im a lil slow when it comes to working". Your boy must be working in a whole other time zone, if he's working at all. What i need to do is a chargeback because messing up my AC was not the service that I paid for. read more

I recently purchased an older model vehicle and wanted my ride to be CarPlay compatible and Front and rear dash cam. I'd been using another business to perform these types of services, but I was told by them there was no work around for a Lexus and then I started asking Adrian questions and he told me that there was a work around. He installed an interfaced CarPlay version that's easily to operate and actually learns your habits and will automatically connect once you get into your ride. Background: I just got a new Mazda 3 sedan and wanted to get heated seats installed in the rear seats. My daughter is pampered like that. After searching for a installer, I choose More Than Auto because of their reputation on Yelp and the the price of the install and material. My biggest concern was I didn't want the new seats to look or feel weird in anyway after the install. Well, the concern was unfounded. The seat looks brand new, just like I expect it to. MTA responded very quickly and has a convenient online payment system. We ran into some issues with coordinating our scheduling at first, but we got that resolved. MTA conveniently will come to you so that I was able to keep working while the radio and backup camera were to be installed. The work was completed and MTA even takes the time to explain how the new radio would work, which was great. However, as it turned out, my car needed to have a factory piece for the project to be completed. We scheduled the subsequent appointment but MTA was a no-call, no-show. When I finally reached out I was told it was due to an emergency and another person would reach out to complete the work. It took some doing, but eventually another technician dropped by and completed the work. Once again they were professional and efficient at the location. Adrian did a tremendous job and a complicated install. On my mid-roof ford transit passenger van, he installed a six channel amp, additional set of speakers, subwoofer, insulation on roof and doors, an iPad mount, and all the wiring. He was responsive, hard working, and solved all the little problems very well. Most importantly, after he left the job late one evening, mid-install, he recalled that he had forgotten to connect one of the vehicle battery lines. He called me, and asked to return to fix the problem after heading home. He could have gone home and fixed the minor issue the next day but instead chose to handle it right there. I was looking for someone who could install a nice size radio and also install new speakers for me because many of my speakers were blown. The person that install my last radio did a horrible job and the speaker were going on and out. I started looking on google and came upon more than auto. I reached out to them to see if they could preform the work and they agree that they could. I am very blown away about the job that was done. The install were perfect and the cords were out of sight. My back up camera is clear the radio is just the size i preferred (big screen) and the speakers are LOUD I MEAN VERY LOUD. I did a test drive today and I'm in love my car has never been this loud. Updating my review. I thought these guys were good initially. However, very soon after they installed my new head unit, speakers and amps, I started having problems. The head unit constantly didn't work, Bluetooth would fail, apple car play would randomly shut down, etc. I finally got them to come out and install a new head unit. For the most part, it's worked though apple car play randomly stops working from time to time. The big problem has been, the subs they installed have stopped working and the replacements for the factory speakers stop working at higher volumes. The guy came out to my house over a month ago to troubleshoot. He said a new amp was needed and he would order the amp and come install it. I waited a couple weeks and reached out to him since I hadn't heard anything. He said on October 9th that he would come to my house to install the new amp the following Monday or Wednesday. He said he would let me know when he could get to my house. I didn't want to be a nuisance so I didn't text/call him at all. Almost three weeks passed and nothing from this company. So I sent a text message a few days ago explaining how frustrated I am with this. I've spent thousands of dollars on this and I am left with a system that doesn't work and a company that seemingly doesn't care. I was too quick to leave a good review initially. I can't in good faith recommend this company to anyone. Far better to use a brick anmortar place so when you have a problem, you can show up and not be at the mercy of people who come to you. I've purchased through this company-a new head unit, subs, amps, door speakers, and tweeters. When my system works, it sounds great. Problem is, it rarely works. I've been doing a lot of road trips recently and music is necessary while I'm road tripping. But hearing my speakers intermittently work is just frustrating. So I end up just turning it off. More than auto doesn't respond to me anymore. So I guess that's it...thousands of dollars thrown away and another company that doesn't stand by its work. It's a great concept; a stereo installation company coming to you so you can do your normal routine. The problem is, if you have an issue, you have to rely on them coming back to you. If they decide to ignore you, there's no recourse. You can't hold them responsible when there's no brick and mortar location. That's where I am...they installed all this new gear in my truck but apparently the installation wasn't done correctly or something is set wrong or something...I don't know enough about audio gear to know potential problems. Now I have to try to find actual professionals to fix whatever problems these people created. Bottom line: don't waste your money at this place. read more

We had previously booked at Best Buy but it took MONTHS to get an appointment, and then we ended up unable to get there because of a snowstorm. When we tried to reschedule, there were no appointments for like 50 miles, not for months at least. Also, the communication process was horrific because you can never actually directly CALL Best Buy, just their corporate number. I can't say enough good things about this business. Before a lengthy car trip, I wanted to upgrade the radio in my Acura to accommodate Apple CarPlay. I corresponded with MTA and they recommended a solution for me. By the time I was able to pull the trigger (err...Wife would allow me to pull trigger), MTA told me that the solution they recommended was no longer being sold. Undaunted, MTA came up with another solution and scheduled Abraham to come out and install it. When inclement weather forced a delay (they come to YOU to do the work!!!), they contacted me timely and rescheduled. All very professionally done. Halfway into the guts of my car, Abraham realized that the sound system in my car differed from what he expected to find. He told me it needed a special part for premium sound systems like the one in my car (otherwise phone calls come in much louder than music, etc.) but he had already arranged with MTA to order the part and have it installed - convenience fee on them. THIS is what customer service is all about. It's not getting everything right, but Making it Right when something doesn't go according to plan. MTA did that for me, twice. Though the car is beautiful and the interior technology is quite impressive, the factory stereo system was bad enough to make you consider driving it off of a bridge! I am normally pretty handy but when I got stumped on installing a front-facing camera that has a anytime override with a rocker switch to toggle between the front and rear camera anytime on my truck (2018 Toyota Tacoma) I gave More Than Auto a chance. It turned out would be a better option for me to get tinting done before installing the cams. I messaged again after tinting which took a bit over a month.
