This last inspection was different. I could hardly understand what the man was saying and while his english wasn't bad, he was difficult to understand. He did point out a number of things I should be aware of but I just didn't feel like I had the same service I used to. It was rejected (horn was broke duh.. should've checked that..) but I decided to have it re-inspected somewhere else after having a garage go over it. (Merv's garage is great). It's an antique 1993 Jeep that looks it. After the garage fixed stuff the first inspection missed, the Jeep passed... but it wasn't at that station.

She took it and swiped it again. In my bank statement, I found that I have been charged twice. Now I called him, they said they will call me back later after figuring out what happened. Didn't hear anything from them, then I called after two days. This time they said that, I need to take the bank statement back to them with bank seal so that they know that it was authentic. They cannot check their transaction list, since they have too many transactions. I need to travel back to them with that piece of paper. They were very rude and didn't even say sorry at all.

First mechanic I went to had the car for 2 days and only greased the transfer case. And he wouldn't even work on the AC because the Land Cruiser is 23 years old and and that unit HVAC system was extremely complicated. Eric from Premier Auto detected the problem immediately and gave me an estimate. Now, the AC system is running ice cold and the front axle replacements completely fixed the clunking; it's buttery smooth as it should be. It was done in like 3 days; amazing turn around time. Are they the cheapest? No, but they are competitive. The better question would be, "Are they honest, qualified, and professional? Am I getting VALUE for my money?" I am happy to say yes to all four. For me as a husband and father, my family's safety is my #1 priority. I now have a trusted mechanic for our vehicles at Premier Auto. 10/10 absolutely recommend.

I've been going to the Shell off Backlick rd for years -- and for the past couple of years, I *have* been thinking that it's gotten a bit expensive, but I've never had another option so... I've stayed. This changed when I got the estimate for new rear brakes and rotors...and I thought ehhh.... Nah. Thats looking like they're trying to up charge me. And this was confirmed by my bf and his mechanic dad. So in a pinch, my bf had gotten some work done there in the last and I thought, Why not?? Let's go there and see what they say. Not only was this Mr. Tire FAST in their quote back to me, when everything was said and done, I BASICALLY paid a good 300$ less --labor and all--than I would have if I had gotten my stuff done at the Shell (If I get my breaks changed, I probably shouldn't be charged individually for the brake fluid flush....) So I thank the Mr. Tire for this. They got themselves a new customer!

About noon today I called Sam at The Mobile Mechanic. I have a wheelchair accessible van that I bought to transport my father to doctors when he was alive, and I've kept it in case my elderly mother needs it in the future. But we never remember to use it, so after almost a year it wasn't working anymore. Sam told me he had a couple of other clients and then would come over about 5 or 5:30. He communicated clearly about the costs on the phone ($100 for the diagnosis, and then the cost of parts and labor beyond that.) Because of rush hour he was a little later than he thought, but by 6pm he was working away, trying to charge the battery, under his own bright lights. Soon he knew the battery was no good, which I had suspected. He drove to get a new battery and connections that had been rusted out, called me from the store to be sure the price was ok, then returned and installed it. By 7:15 he was done, and charged me the price of the parts with a few bucks for the travel costs and time, nothing for the rest of the labor. It was so reasonable, so easy on me, and he was so fast and kind, that I will never hesitate to call him in the future. What a great experience! I still can't believe that he got out here and fixed the car the same day I called! He also cleaned out some gunk and leaves that had collected under the hood near the vents and gave me some good advice for the future. Wow! read more

Sam was prompt in responding to my request. He was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. All work was done on terms we agreed to in advance. Better still, I never left my house. I took a used car I just bought to the Ford dealership to have it checked out. Dealer came back with a $793 quote to replace both fog lamp assembly, which I knew were busted. This outrageous price forced me to look for alternatives, which led me to Sam who saved me $450 even when using OEM parts. Thanks Sam. You have earned my business. read more

The suspension spring on my Strut broke and I didn't have a way to replace it myself. The mobile mechanic answered promptly and listened to the issue, he picked up the part and came to me to replace it. Great communication skills, and honest up front negotiation. I reached out to a number of shops, and R&j was the most responsive and reasonable. I am so glad I did. Jorge was very communicative, and texted me to let me know when he would be arriving. He brought all the tools needed to diagnose the problem. Since it was an easy diagnosis, Jorge did not charge a diagnostic fee, which was very reasonable. Jorge let me order the parts I needed, and even suggested I replace the serpentine belt at no additional cost. He replaced the alternator, battery and removed the aftermarket alarm that was draining the electrical system. He even diagnosed the brake issue that we found once the truck was running. R&j Auto Shop is my go to for quality, quick auto repairs. Jorge is a great guy and easy to work with. I highly recommend R&j Auto Repair!!
