I've been going to the Shell off Backlick rd for years -- and for the past couple of years, I *have* been thinking that it's gotten a bit expensive, but I've never had another option so... I've stayed. This changed when I got the estimate for new rear brakes and rotors...and I thought ehhh.... Nah. Thats looking like they're trying to up charge me. And this was confirmed by my bf and his mechanic dad. So in a pinch, my bf had gotten some work done there in the last and I thought, Why not?? Let's go there and see what they say. Not only was this Mr. Tire FAST in their quote back to me, when everything was said and done, I BASICALLY paid a good 300$ less --labor and all--than I would have if I had gotten my stuff done at the Shell (If I get my breaks changed, I probably shouldn't be charged individually for the brake fluid flush....) So I thank the Mr. Tire for this. They got themselves a new customer! read more

Someone tap my bumper at the shop when I went in to get new tires, went back to show the manager and they did a total denial along with the tech so there will be no recourse for me, but somebody had hit my bumper and knocked the paint off. I had my commuter car serviced here for the first time on 2.2.2025. Initially I went in for new tires that I ordered 2 days prior. However, prior to the appointment I had 2 sensors that I had never seen before come on. Thankfully they have mechanics that do more than change tires. Apparently I needed rear brakes, had low brake fluid, low radiator fluid and was informed that my radiator hoses were dry rotted and I had rust in the radiator. Also needed tire sensor replacement which I figured I had everything done except the radiator replacement that Sunday and the gentleman who assisted me (I think the manager or owner) was very nice and did well with communicating with me. My job is not far from the tire shop so I went to work while he ordered the parts and did the additional work outside of the original appointment for tires. My vehicle is an 05 TL and I knew that it needed some maintenance work. I didn't feel pressured or taken advantage of during this visit. Heck even the mechanic was present during my check out and explained the work that was done. Pricing seemed aligned with market value. Also, always call ahead to ensure that the tires you want are physically in stock at any place you decide to go. Found a nail in our tire that needed a patch, so we arrived one hour before closing on a Saturday. Figured they would make us come back the next day, but they helped us without an appointment! Didn't know what to expect given the mixed reviews on Yelp, but they told us $50 for the patch and that it would take 45 minutes....but it took less than 20 minutes. There is minimal seating, maybe 4 chairs if you have to wait. You can walk to the surrounding shops, there's a total wine, talbots and Lidl. There was a lot on here about customer service. Now, I wouldn't say they were the most friendly, but it was fine. Will update the review if we had any issues with the patch. read more

I recently got a flat tire while visiting the Springfield Mall and I mapped out the closest tire shop with the highest reviews and Mr. Tire Springfield popped up. I called the shop at 6:45 and asked if they could taking me knowing that they closed at 7 and they happily agreed. I immediately brought my car in and got there at 7 but the store manager, Marvin Guzman was so helpful and accommodating! They met me outside and started work immediately. I was I and out in less than 30 minutes! I'm so appreciative of kind customer service provided by the staff and they were able to give me brand new tires and did excellent work in a very short time. The shop was also super clean and everyone was so friendly. Marvin made sure my tires were the right size and had the right pressure and I was on my way. I needed a tire patch after I found a nail in my tire with a slow leak. Never been to this shop before. Scheduled an appointment online, and I had it patched in less than 30 minutes at a reasonable price. But as I drove home the tire pressure monitoring system monitoring light on my dash come on. This was the first time that light ever came on. After a couple trips back to the shop to get it diagnosed and fixed I have to say I was really impressed with the customer service at this shop. Marvin G. is a real professional and helped me get this resolved relatively quickly. My only criticism of the shop was that they over inflated my tires, but it's a reminder that you should double check the tire pressure anytime they are serviced. read more

I stopped here two times last winter when my low tire light came on. They topped me off and the light went out. The light came on a couple of days later so they had me stay in the car while they filled the tires to find out which tire it was. They then found the small screw that was causing the slow leak. No charge for the first visit and a very modest fee for patching my tire, along with very quick service on the second. I took my car to my dealer for a free state inspection and oil service this week and they told me I needed new tires due to dry rot on the sidewall (car only has 24k miles). I declined. I brought the car back to Mr. Tire for their opinion. They put my car up on the rack and took their time inspecting all four tires and said they were good. The next time my car needs tire service, an oil change or any service that they offer for that matter, I will bring it here. I trust these guys. read more

Extremely dissatisfied Took my car for alignment and balancing. Long story short my car was returned more or less the same. Car still shakes when I drive close to 70 and steering wheel is still misaligned. Made a second trip and front desk wasn't willing to check the car. Kept insisting and finally got the car checked. I was watching the guy looking to the car. He shines the light under the car for a few minutes and proceeds to balance only one wheel. Front desk tells me that the car dosent have any issue but they are willing to re do the work and I will have to pay again. On my drive home I remember my last visit which wasn't that great either. No way I'm trusting these "mechanics" with my car again. I hope people read my review and reconsider their options. Waisted $150 and now I'm looking to get the same work done at another place. read more

i made a reservation for rear tires and left my car, they didnt bother to call me after a while to tell me they didnt have the tires. I gave them another chance and they said they would call me back when they arrived the next day or the next, nothing. On 13 November around 2:30pm I made an online appointment to get an oil change for my Jeep, scheduled for 4pm. At 2:38pm I called to confirm that they had received the online appointment and they confirmed that they had. I left work early to meet my wife there (arrived at 3:58pm), handed the keys to the gentlemen behind the counter who had me sign an estimate for the oil change, then off my wife and I went to have coffee until the car was ready for pick-up. Just prior to leaving we were informed that the two front tires needed to be replaced as well. Just over an hour later, we decided to go back, figuring that they would be done. The Jeep was exactly where we left it and when I went in, was informed that they had been busy and no work had been done on the vehicle. They said that if I was willing to wait, they would "get it done quickly". I refused the offer as they should have informed me 2 1/2 hours prior of the backlog and I could have made a decision then. The next day I took a look at the tires and, of course, both were fine and not in need of replacement. Not only did they not do work as scheduled, but they tried to get me to purchase 2 tires which I did not need. Will definitely not be going back to Mr. Tire! read more

I went in early December to buy a used tire because my old one was flat. The experience was fine and relatively cheap, about $81. I understand that buying used tires can be a risk sometimes; however, I only had this tire for about a month before it went flat too. I called to see if I could get a free replacement to which I was turned down. They said they could try to fix it but I inspected it myself and there were no holes/screws in it. I asked if an all point inspection can be performed and the representative stated that it would be a $75 charge! He was rude and wouldn't allow me to speak. This place is a whole scam. I had an issue here years ago and said I'd never go back unless it my last resort - which of course was unfortunate enough to happen. My tire blew out a block away so I had it towed here (no spare), knowing they'd overcharge since my car was stuck there. They tell you you need a lot more work done than you do, have hidden fees in their prices, and automatically quote you the most expensive tire, most expensive installation, etc. I have no problem paying for stuff for my car - it's part of owning one. But this place definitely takes advantage of women, and scams their customers. Do yourself a favor and get a tire from Walmart for literally 1/4 the price. read more

I highly advise anyone to avoid this place. Only came here because I had a nail I'm my tire and needed a quick fix. They wanted $55 for a flat repair and I had "free flat repair" coupon when I booked the appointment online. It wasn't free and brought it down to $29. False advertisement but then again nothing is free these days. I asked why it was it was $55 and they said it's because they patch the tire and no one else does. Welp that's a lie because NTB and the dealers do patch and it's not $55. Then this guy came in needing to get a tire installed and they quoted him $70 for ONE tire. That's ludicrous and I told the guy he's better off going to another shop, which he already was going to do. TOTAL DISHONEST!!!! I would not trust this place to service my car. My daughter took her Toyota COROLLA to this place for an oil change. The guy said her COROLLA required synthetic or synthetic blend oil. He refused to perform a regular oil change. I had taken COROLLA to the Toyota dealer many times for regular oil change over the years. Never been told the COROLLA required synthetic or synthetic blend oil. Stay away!!! I was treated rudely and disrespectfully when I was there for a quote for four tires. I can't go into all the details here but this place does not know what customer service is. I was talked down to no doubt because I am a woman, while everyone else just stood there and watched... after I left, I went to two other places for quotes... all of them quoted me the exact same price for the tires themselves but this place pads onto the price a ton of ridiculous fees which they claim are required, necessary, and will cost the same to do anywhere else... I saved $400 by going to another tire shop and I wasn't asked to pay for half of the cost of the tires up front (my tires have to be special ordered)... attention business owner, word of mouth will destroy your business... if you care about keeping it, you better do some serious customer service training and take a good long look at your business model... having a guy who speaks Spanish giving quotes and doing customer intake isn't enough to set you apart from your competitors... I would give this .5 stars. But there was one gentleman that did help remove a tire when we could not get it off.. (salt is a terrible corrosion, but they didn't even remove it for the inspection) The first time I've ever been here I had a blast with the lady at the front desk chatting about life in general and she gave me a discount after my coupon wouldn't work. Talk about a big change! A bunch of cranky men working here who glare at you the second you utter the question "why?" Came in with a coupon of $5 off VA safety inspection.. they told me it would be done before I went to work. Notified them I would be as well and received 6 missed calls and a text message! Desperate much? Talked to Rolo who told me that everything on my car added up to $1,422... After he explained everything I asked him if I could pick my car up still? You could tell he wanted to say no. But he started telling me that the cops would pull me over and give me a ticket. I notified him I already had some paperwork on it should a cop pull me over. I understand that he might have tried to come from a "warning" point of view..but it did NOT come across that way. You DO NOT scare tactic someone for a sale. Bad customer service! Upon grabbing my car from there they provided a list of everything the bill included.. brakes were not even included in the pricing. Safe to say I will warn anyone who even thinks about going here!
