I called ahead to find out how much it would cost to replace the tires. I had already done the research and bought the exact tires I wanted. Guy told me $20 per tire to swap out the old with the new ones. I get there and have the tires switched out only to find out the $20 was really $35 because the guy didn't quote me for balancing the tire. I mean COME ON! Who installs a tire and doesn't balance the tire? I suppose I wasn't too bothered because honestly $35 is the going rate around here and the guy was nice. I woke up to flat tire before work one morning. I had a small compressor so I aired up my tire, and set out to a service station. After four denials because they weren't open or I didn't have an appt, I stopped into Alban tire. They fit me in within that hour! The price was totally reasonable. I strongly do not recommend Alban for mechanical or routine maintenance. After my last Alban service on my 2019 Ford Transit 350, it turns out they vastly overfilled my engine oil and did not torque my rear differential cover to spec after service. I blew a crankcase pressure sensor and incurred an engine fault leaving me limping in West Virginia on a road trip. Not to mention the slowly leaking oil from the differential cover. I also had an abs sensor fault likely from a prior rear brake/rotor replacement service at Alban. All this was diagnosed by the Ford Dealer luckily nearby in WV. It was hard to believe how careless and poor the work was performed at Alban which i believe resulted in my mechanical troubles. I will not be returning. read more

SLOPPY! SLOPPY! SLOPPY! I purchased a brand new tire from them after I had a puncture and waited 2 hours to get it installed. Once my van was done, I paid and left only to get home and find out that they threw the doughnut tire in the trunk instead of securing it safely underneath the van. When I had time and drove back to get it done, they informed me that I had to wait an hour for a simple 5 minute mistake that THEY made. There were techs walking around all over the area lazily that could have corrected this but they chose to dismiss us. If you're not a big trailer track in need of huge expensive tires, don't go there. They get enough of that 95 traffic that they couldn't care less for the little cars and vans. read more

First. They have apparently taken good care of my tires. I know nothing there to say they are doing anything poorly. But they left my car unlocked and windows wide open for 5 hours on a day with serious thunderstorms predicted. They told me they were watching and "making sure no sketchy" (or did they say unsavory?) people "like me" were wandering around. An attempt to be funny. Sounded more like a "Now don't you worry your pretty little head about that." They clearly weren't paying attention to much because they failed to see the lightening and blue-black clouds of the impending downpour. Not sure they would have bothered closing it up over night if I hadn't arrived in time to pick it up before they closed. Very uncomfortable with their consideration of customer property. read more

40.00 to patch a tire and rotate. You might as well told me to rotate on this. Ask the service counter what was in the tire and they said usually we don't know we just repair it. Your better off going to pitstop auto repair which is less than a mile away and 20 dollars cheaper for the patch. I could see the 40 dollars if it was a sidewall repair or something that took hours to patch but my God talk about paying for all those old men working the countertop retirement funds. I'm sure that I won't return good luck with that extra 20.00 I gave you for a small nail repair. Your shop is going to die as well if you keep gouging people. jUPDATE: The service manager George called today, confirmed a refund for the "check air in tires" charge, and apologized for the lapse. My faith in local small business is buoyed, and I will do business with them again. Original review: I just picked up my class C motorhome from getting an oil change at the Alban tire repair shop. I requested that they please check the air in the tires while they had it in the bay. The total bill was $95, which included $63 for the oil change, tax, and $30 to check the air in my tires. I believe $63 is a fairly reasonable price for an oil change in a V 10 motor home, but $30 to check air in six tires is flat out ridiculous. I am going to have to find someplace else to get my oil changed and inspections done in the future. I have spent a good bit of money here, but not anymore. If I hear from the ownership at Alban tire, I may consider changing my opinion, but as it stands I will never return to Alban tire. JCK read more

Needed a flat repaired. I just stopped by in the middle of the day. There were a couple places closer to my office, but saw the great reviews on yelp. The service folks were friendly, knowledgable and seemed very honest. While I was waiting I over heard chatter with long time customers, one who had been coming here, seeing the same service guy, for at least 14 years. I was looking for shops to help me replace a flat tire. I pulled up Yelp for nearby tires vendors in the area. I was going to go to NTB because I was familiar with the business and thought that sticking with what I know would be the easiest solution. But I saw a 5star ad for "Alban Tires" on NTB's profile and thought, "Can't beat that." I called in as soon as they opened to make sure they had my wheels in stock. Talked to Frank and he invited me in ASAP. I got 2 new tires, a free rotation, perfect alignment. and was out in 1 hour. Pros - My dad, a mechanic, also recommended this shop. - They specialize in tires and have lots of options - Staff is friendly, fair, and cooperative. No upsell. - Whole office was staffed as soon as they opened. Everyone was ready to work! Bought tires from here and it was reasonably priced. My complaint is with the service desk and the workmanship. First, the service person was obnoxious and defensive. After receiving my new tires, my vehicle was not in balance. I went back and this particular service person said that I just needed to add or release air from the tires, REALLY? After much complaining he had someone ride with me to confirm the out of balance wheels. It was out of balance and they had to re-balance it. Poor workmanship. Do it right the first time. The service person treated me as if it was all my fault for their poor workmanship. In addition, he gave me the impression he was bothered by me, and performing such an out-of-the-way service of providing what I paid Alban Tires to perform. Secondly, now that I am aligning my wheels, I found out these morons over-tightened the lug nuts. They must have had several gorillas in their cages come out and jumped on the wrench to super tighten my wheel nuts. My impact wrench cannot loosened the nuts, so now I have to get a cross bar extension to use leverage in hopes of loosening the nuts. I will not patronize this place again just because of those two dunderheads. I recommend seeking other tire places to service your needs. read more

Avoid this business if possible. Went in to get a State inspection after I pass a DOT inspection figured it should pass with no problem. Well I was wrong. They were Able to squeeze out $900 from Me to pass inspection. Should've only been out of service for a day, but took 2 because they broke the part trying to install it. Needed my sending unit for my fuel pump replaced and had me thinking they would fix it, turns out they can't get the part and would call me when they do. ( Never heard back) Worst part of the experience was my personal vehicle was damaged after they said it was fine to park. Someone there hit it and they act like they don't know how to use their camera system. Just avoid Alban Tires and learn from me. read more

I have a mixed feeling about this place. I'm permanent customer of Alban tire. They are very convenient to me. My office only couple min away. I put 4 recap on the back of my truck. After a month of using it one of the tire blow. So my truck was over the road and i change 2 tire on my right back side, keeping one good recap for a future. It's March, i need to do inspection, so I change front tires. The back tires that i change over the road was no good, so i flip one tire from the front , and i brought another recap that i keep and i ask them to put that tire on the back instead of the bad one, they refuse , saying they not changing used tires ( but i bought this tire from you ). Good part they changing tires quick, you don't have to seat and wait the whole day for it. read more

Alban tire by far is the very worst state inspection station I've ever dealt with. Their inspector had a terrible attitude at 7:30am and their management wouldn't correct it. The inspector lacked courtesy and customer service skills to explain why my truck had failed inspection twice even after the issues he'd failed it for had been addressed. His attitude changed belligerency and carelessness. If one gets paid to do a job, they should do it. I'll never recommend this place to anyone, not even for tires needs. read more

I came here highly recommended by my mechanic. I did get two new tires on my truck. As soon as I left the shop got into 95 and felt something shaking every time I press the breaks. I called Frank and asked If he could take a look at the situation. He said that I needed breaks and to take the truck to their service department. Looked out at my parked car in front of my house one day and realized I had a flat. I couldn't tell what had caused the flat, as there was no noticeable gash or tear anywhere that I could see. After getting the spare donut put on, I gave Alban a call based on prior reviews. Keith picked up and told me to head over. Assuming they had the tire in stock, I could be in and out the same day. I headed over to Alban and he greeted me when I arrived. His technicians took a look at the tire and determined there was a small gash that I just wouldn't have been able to see with my own eyes. They did not have the tire in stock, but ordered it and promised to let me know when it would be ready. I went back two days later when the tire arrived and his team put the new tire on and made sure everything was working properly. They even had Wi-Fi in their waiting area so I could do work on my laptop while I waited. Communication was top notch, prices were very fair, and I'd have no issue going back should the need arise again. read more

Make a call to Alban around 9 00 and Keith picked up the phone. Not only was he super friendly and helpful, he was willing to do whatever it took to fix it. He told me just to have aaa tow my car and he would call me when it was done. I had trouble finding a tire place with consistently good reviews in my area, but found Alban Tire in Springfield...had great reviews everywhere I looked. I had questions, but it was after hours, so I sent an e-mail. Was shocked to receive a reply on a Sunday night with detailed answers to my questions. When I did call, they ordered my tires, and called later the same day to say the tires had arrived and I could come in at my convenience to have them installed. When I brought in my vehicle, the Alban staff worked warranty issues with manufacturer of the tires that were currently on my van, which helped me get 35% off my new tires. Between the warranty discount and not performing unnecessary work (work my dealership added to their quote), I paid almost $400 less than I was quoted at my dealership for the exact same tires. Alban Tire is the real deal. When I went there, my minivan was surrounded by work vehicles and a semi. In the waiting area, it was obvious that the business has a loyal customer base, and the employees are true tire professionals who know their jobs and long-term clients well. And to all you women out there who, like me, are hyper-sensitive about getting ripped off or treated condescendingly at auto places, you won't have any worries at all at Alban Tire if my experience is any indication. read more

Had to replace two rear tires, due to a nail. No problem with that. Next day, the car was undriveable on the highway. When I looked, they had removed the balance weights on all four wheels! I went straight back and the service person said they either fell off in the car wash or someone who didn't like me in my neighborhood took them off! Right to my face, he said that. First, I don't use car washes. Second, who has ever heard of getting back at someone by taking their wheel weights. Bunch of creeps. These guys are well sketchy - and down right rude. read more

Standard shop, middle of the road customer service. Aside from standard mounting, I've bought a number of skid steer tires here in the past. Prices aren't bad. I made the mistake of bringing at least 12 smaller tires in to be mounted on rims for various equipment restoration projects that I've had over the years. I am shocked to see any positive reviews whatsoever for Albin Tire Corp given my experience with the 7302 Boudinot Drive location. Upon requesting an emission inspection, the men proceeded to perform a safety inspection instead. They failed the car for the WRONG INSPECTION, tore up my windshield tag which was good for 2 more months and demanded PAYMENT. Despite getting my mechanic on the phone to explain that some German cars actually indicate thinning brake linings BEFORE REACHING Virginia minimum requirements, the lazy, rude inspector just walked out. He did the wrong job and did not own up to his mistake and was very rude. They never performed the correct inspection and threatened to KEEP MY CAR IF I DID NOT PAY $16!!! WHO DO THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE? DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. The facility is filthy. The people are rude and incompetent. They are not interested in customer retention whatsoever. The desk jockeys dismissed me to the "lounge" when I first arrived, YELLED MY NAME when my car was "ready," and LAUGHED at me when I demanded the service I requested initially. Alban tire is amazing. I called on a Monday morning at 830am and was told they are a first come first serve service. I made it there a little before 9 and there were already 4 people in the waiting area...so I thought good thing I brought my book. All other places involving my car take 2-4 hours so I thought I was in it for the long haul. As soon as I walked into the door I was greeted and asked how they could help. I explained I had a flat tire and I needed to have someone look at the tire and tell me could they plug it. The gentleman looked at the tire, found the nail and said yup no problem. Put the tire back down and said I could wait for the car. So I found a spot by the tv with my book as I said I was preparing for the long haul. Less than 40 minutes later a technician came straight to me and said they were finished and the car was outside. I paid for the tire and then I realized I hadn't told them I wanted the plugged tire to be put back on - so as I went to oh I said I was sorry for not having asked earlier but could they put the tire on the car. The service pro looked at me and said yes ma'am we already did that. I was so happy. Then they told me the bill-$35. I was beyond happy with the time and reasonable price. As I was in the waiting area I noticed a lot of companies were the clients - big names from around this area - it gave me comfort seeing they trust their vehicles there. My husband was looking for 2 tires to replace the ones he had - General brand. Internet research led him to Alba tires where the brand is sold but they said they did not carry that particular tire and said it was no longer manufactured. They offered something else which was much more expensive so hubby said No. Found the tires at Sears for the price he expected so obviously the DO still manufacture them. read more

I had the dash A/C repaired on a Tiffin Allegro Bus 42 foot motor coach. This place found the problems that another place in a different state could not find. They found two leaks after injecting dye in the system. I had two different Freon leaks, one requiring a new A/C Compressor. They worked on our coach most of one day and then part of a second day after the new compressor arrived. The staff at this location were very professional and knew their way around a motor coach. Their prices were very fair. The manager is Chuck Bonta. They have certified diesel mechanics. The man who worked on my unit had been with the company 24 years. I would not hesitate to use them again. Be advised there are two different parts (buildings) to this Alban tire. As you come off the Fairfax Parkway on the Boudinot exit the location on the left is the tire location. The location that does the mechanical service is on the right side of the road. If your in the Northern VA area and need service work on a RV or full size motor coach, this is the place. read more
