This place is a cut above all the rest. The customer service is outstanding! They are quick, Polite and full service. I came in for an oil change on my work car. They are very well versed with fleet billing. I don't pay for this. But the value is extremely amazing. They clean the windows. Top off fluids. Fill tires. They very quick. You get to sit in your car during service. I plan on taking my personal vehicle here. When it's time. I am very particular about my personal car. So that's saying a lot. I used the Jiffy Lube website to get an estimate and arrived fairly early at this location to get an oil change and tire rotation. I ended up waiting in a line of cars and then had an employee approach and tell me that the lift was broken and they couldn't do a tire rotation. I was very disappointed that the website didn't have some kind of alert about this service being unavailable. As a result, I had to take my car to the dealer since it was my next closest option. Also, when I went to add feedback to the company website about this, it never worked and gave me a "captcha error" each time. Honestly, fail after fail from Jiffy Lube. I can't recommend their services and would encourage you to seek other options. read more

I arrived mid morning for an oil change, but apparently it was too early for a good morning from anyone working. That said, the team working immediately took my car inside to begin the oil change. I was led to the waiting area where I was overcome by a waft of weed smoke. No worries. Natty dread. Everyone working was feeling Irie. As I waited, One of the employee's children was playing in the waiting area. He stood on a chair, next to his toys on the floor with a recently spilled cup of juice. Again, no worries. I sat down, checked my work text for messages, and put my foot up on a beat up table in the waiting area. It was at this point somebody working finally addressed my presence. The door to the waiting area opened up and one of the people working said, "get your foot off the table." Customer service in its truest form. Soon thereafter, the child's caregiver came into the waiting area to straighten up her child's mess. After a couple minutes she went back outside to work. My car was ready. Have a nice day? Thank you, come again? Good morning? Drop dead? There were none of these such utterances at this Jiffy Lube. Everybody apparently was way too stoned for such simple courtesies. I was able to drive right up for service on a Thursday afternoon. At first I was told they didn't have my oil, but I'm glad the man investigated further because they were able to change it and I was in and out in 20 minutes. I appreciated they were very upfront with the price. It must be my type of car because it was $139! Whereas I heard others told prices in the $50s. I went for the first time this morning for a basic oil change. I took a picture ofvmy dashboard and pulled my car around and was taken to lobby. Three minutes later Serh calls me to the counter with my filters out. Trying to uosell services and the replacement of filters for $50. I told him I just want the oil change. I go sit where I can see my car. One guy did a really quick vacuum and I see 3 different guys at the car but and on computers. Less than 5 minutes later, my car is pulled out. Seth tells me it's $51.55 and I signed the receipt. I stans at the desk looking over the receipt marveling at all they claim to have done in 5 minutes. I got in my car and instantly there's a warning signal and another light I've never seen before. I pull back around, Seth comes over, i show him the picture of my dash right before they touched it and the dash now. He says well your light must have blown but thats not on us. I question, while videoing, how can my dash go from nothing lit up to 5 minutes later, 2 signals, he says nothing on our oil change did that, but we can change your bulb for $30. I told him im not about to pay for something that wasn't there before i came to you. And i do not believe you changed my oil or did anything else you claimed in 5 minutes. He said we are trained to work fast! I left after taking a detailed video of our conversation, his hands shaking the entire time with my warning signals. I pulled over 10 minutes later and checked the dipstick, the oil is exactly where it was when i checked 2 days earlier. Then I'm ,driving about 15 minutes later and theres a wierd fan sound that is new. It sounds like im using my hair dryer when i step on the gas. I will never solicit this place ir recommend. I absolutely love taking my car to this spot. The employees are so kind and diligent. Unfortunately they are not treated well - and despite that, they continue to provide amazing services. The manager has not fixed the air conditioning in the building in over a week - and in the middle of a heat wave, in such dangerous temps, this is ridiculous. Huge fan of the employees but the manager needs to get a realignment on his attitude and priorities. Keep up the great work despite your manager who clearly could care less about you. All of the gentlemen here were really lovely, gave great instructions, did not try to upsell, and didn't make me uncomfortable which I feel like as a woman is really important. And they were definitely incredibly fast and I was able to get an oil change on the way home from work at 4 PM in the middle of the week so this might be the go to spot! $75 for synthetic oil no tire rotation included but pretty good! read more

When it comes to the basics of changing oil, I don't have much of a complaint. If you value the quality of work for the smaller things, i.e. cabin air filter replacement, do it yourself. Both of my cars now have broken pieces inside the car. Specifically, clips that hold my wife's filter door in place are broken and clips for my car's trim were broken and missing. Additionally, I declined to have the cabin filter of my car replaced (I had a new one at home) and they crammed my old filter into my car SIDEWAYS!!! So...caveat emptor. read more

I have visited this location twice and it is convenient as it is close to my job. The four stars are for both visits but particularly for my most recent visit. I took my car here out of pure desperation for an oil change because I was 38 miles past due. I called first to see if it was possible to have someone drop me back off at work if I came during my lunch break. They were able to accommodate, which I was thankful for, especially considering the volume of cars they had when I arrived. The lack of star can be attributed to when I picked up my car that evening. I was surprised to know that there were services in which they could not do; changing air filters and something else that can only be done at the dealership. They did not change out the air filters because they did not have them in stock, but apparently I need them changed (Rolls eyes). Overall, a cool experience, though I probably should have taken my car to the dealership for a complete oil AND filter change. (Rolls eyes again! And harder!) read more

Every time I get an oil change, I always get the tires rotated. On my first visit ever to the Backlick location they said the lift was broken. On the 2nd visit, they said they can't rotate the tires because of some blah blah blah design. (another excuse) I think I'll go back my neighborhood gas station. I want to start off my review of this Jiffy Lube saying the two most important things: the service was polite and the whole process took about 20 minutes...painless. I called before showing up and was greeted by the Assistant Manager Carlos who was quite nice about answering my many questions about the wait, price, how long it would take, etc. He assured me that I would have enough time and not be rushed to show up at 6:15pm even though they closed at 7pm on a weekday. From the time I got there and pulled around back to the time that they pulled my car out of the bay and opened our doors for us, I received good service. They did the thing that every oil change place does and asked me if I wanted to replace my air filter or windshield wipers but those are just extras they try to sell you on...recognize that and move on. The customer waiting area could use a deep cleaning and an upgrade. The one small TV in there kept cutting out every 30 seconds. I didn't have to endure all that for long because they were done with the oil change service in a flash! read more

I was on vacation recently, and my need oil change popped up. 10 days prior I had it "changed" back home. I waited 2 minutes tops. All 3 guys I spoke to were very polite, plus professional and they pointed out an old air filter (I will change it myself as they are easy) that the other place didn't. Terrible experience. The guy tried to charge me $60 for an oil change. I drive an Altima Coupe and it doesn't need premium oil. Once I told him this he was quick to offer me standard oil for $40. I owned a convertible BMW, so I know which cars need premium oil. Long story short, they removed my air filter, cabin filter, and told me it needed to be replaced. The owner answered my questions and although the location did not honor my employee discount, it's a franchise not a corporate store, he found a coupon I could use that was similar in savings. I had my oil changed at another business and within a few days the service light turned on showing that the oil was low. Showing a red light I knew I had to have it looked at immediately. I took it to the Jiffy Lube on Backlick Road in Springfield Virginia and they got me in immediately. They had several staff members look at the problem and diagnose it, they were speedy, efficient, and knowledgeable. The customer service and the way they treated me was top notch. I thought it was a decent if overpriced place ($66 vs $40 at dealer), but I found out today that they tightened the drain plug so much that it stripped the bolt and the guys at the shop right now are having to come up with "creative solutions" to get it off. I've been totally scammed, and there's no real solution, so I'm taking to the internet. In July 2019, I took my car to Jiffy Lube in Springfield, Virginia, for an oil change. I've double-checked my receipt and paid $149 for an oil change, tire rotation, and replacement filters. On Friday, 4/24/20, I was driving home from picking up our CSA, and my car began to shudder. It was jerking, and suddenly the check engine and emergency brake light turned on. Today I took it to a trusted mechanic (Lorton Auto) and quickly received a call that my engine was ceasing and the oil was sludge. The only possible explanation is that Jiffy Lube didn't actually change my oil. Luckily Lorton Auto caught it, and I'll have my car back tonight, but it's safe to say I'll never go to another Jiffy Lube again! read more

Stopped in yesterday for an oil change. The staff told me that I had a MAJOR oil pan gasket leak and that they couldn't change my oil until I got it fixed. They topped off my oil and fluids and told me to come back after I got it fixed. Brought my car home and my husband looked at it. Come to find out the staff broke my oil stick and that's why they said they couldn't change my oil. They had no way of checking my oil and they tried to cover it up by telling me about my leak. Granted I did have a minor and not major oil gasket leak. They failed to tell me that they broke oil stick and that was the real reason why they couldn't change my oil. That place is very dishonest. I would never recommend them to anyone. Ladies be aware and make sure you are paying attention. I would never recommend this business to anyone, however, If you ever decide to take your car there, get out of your car and pay attention to what the technicians are doing. Don't make the same mistake I did; I just sat in the car while they were supposedly checking my oil level. This place is very dishonest and they will rip you off. This was my second time visiting this location. The first time it was raining and this time it was very cold and windy. They greeted me with an umbrella when it was raining and hustled me inside this time saying, "let's get you out of the cold, ma'am." Proof that chivalry isn't dead. They do a great job of explaining what services in addition to your oil change that you should consider having done-without forcefully up-selling.
