My husband had a fantastic experience here. His car had previously broken down twice before he had to travel for work this past week. He was lucky enough to be only a block away from Saratoga Sunoco. He explained that he was traveling for work and was over two hours away from home. The technicians were very kind and worked on his car all day trying to diagnose and fix the issue. 4.5 stars, rounding up. My experience here started out a little confusing. I made an appointment via the website, and received a text from Brad confirming. But when I showed up, no one on site had any knowledge of the appointment. They were genuinely confused, and said they never took appointments for the type of service I was seeking, and there were several cars ahead of me in the queue. I was disappointed by this, but the people there handled the situation so well-- I showed the appointment confirmation, and explained I had made an appointment in hopes of guaranteeing a reasonable turnaround, and the person I spoke to (his coveralls said JD) was very understanding, and said that he would see what he could do to get me moved up the queue, and I would be called as soon as service was ready. I am especially appreciative of how this employee handled the situation because I am autistic, and I get a little agitated when things don't go according to plan, and when I can't establish firm expectations for the future (in this case, what time they would be finished). I know I sometimes come off as rude or difficult when I'm trying to navigate situations like this. But the employee treated me so well, he was very gentle and straightforward, and I felt like he was being sincere when he told me he'd do his best to sort things out, and that I would probably hear from them in about two hours. I don't always get treated with this much respect, because people often think I'm making a big deal over nothing, and I genuinely appreciate how I was treated today. They completed service within the predicted timeframe, as I was assured. Brad called me right away, and suggested additional service that made perfect sense based on my car's past service timeline, was up-front about the price and the the time-frame for the additional service, which was also completed in a timely manner. I do think they should probably improve internal communication regarding appointments, but in the end, that confusion did not ruin my experience at this service station, and I will use them again. read more

I advise against using them!!! Deceptive advertising at the very least. They continue to actively advertise the $39.95 service special to get you in the door even though the oil for that special isn't available and the price almost doubled for what they do have. When they called me to tell me what the new price would be I asked if they were going to honor the price that they are still advertising and they said no I went to pick up my car and talked to Brad . I told him that at the very least he needed to take the sign down as it is deceptive. He refused to do so saying that the sign does say "starting at", which it does but his refusal to take the deceptive sign down is dishonest to me. It seems to me like bait and switch. They get you there under false pretenses and then call you to tell you the price has changed leaving you with only two options. Pay the new and larger price or go there to pick up your car and find someplace else to get the service done. They are obviously banking on people not wanting to take the extra time and effort and begrudgingly paying the inflated costs . Brad even went so far as to say that I was the only person so far that wasn't. "Understanding" of the situation. And he is absolutely correct. I'm NOT understanding of his deceptive and highly unethical business practices. I hope everyone else will be in the future as well! This is my go to for service on my Volvo. What's funny is that I took my car on once, the service was solid,and the price was good. But then o got on Brads list. My wife and I like this Sunoco location, but we don't come here too often because the price of the gas is more expensive than most gas stations in the area. The customer service here is pretty good, whether it the employee in the little store area (and I mean little store are) or whether it be the mechanics. This Sunoco is located at the Saratoga Shopping Center and there are 8 pumps that you are able to fill up your car with. read more

I have had to take my car here twice when I could not make it to my normal mechanic. The first time was when I had a nail in my tire. The second time was for a burnt out headlight. Both times the mechanics were fast, efficient, and extremely helpful. They have done a great job working on my car and it is close to my work which is a added plus. read more

Took my car in for safety inspection. The man inspecting it found 3 little things that would have failed me. He said if I wanted I could fix them on the spot and not have to come back. So I ran over to the auto parts store next door, got the parts, and put them on. The inspector gave me some help in how to replace one of the parts. And I was out of there with a clean inspection. Yes, I paid for the parts, but by giving me a chance to get this fixed on the spot he saved me no end of headache having to take time to come back and wait in line again. read more

I had towed my car into this mechanic, My car was sputtering and it was recommended for me to take my car here by my boyfriend who had his truck here before. My car got "fixed" and in less then 3 weeks I was getting a check engine line and multiple codes were coming up. They said they checked this before giving it back to me, but I instantly felt like something was wrong from the moment I got in the parking lot, I sat there for a little and my car starts Sputtering again, I didn't think much of it because I still had old gas (My car is supposed to take premium but i had put regular in the car because of gas prices). Not even 3 weeks later My car starts sputtering again, and my Engine cut out on me twice while driving. At this point i didn't want to take my car back here because it obviously wasn't fixed correctly the first time, So I took it to the dealership. He texted my boyfriend telling him that he wishes i took my car into him. My parents wanted my car to go to the dealership because they felt safer about that. I ended up getting a quote from him and my dealership, which the dealership was cheaper, but not only that, Brad tried to upsell us on getting a part before and after telling him what the dealership told me about my car. We also found out according to the dealership that the wrong spark plugs were in my car, I told Brad that i would be willing to bring the Spark plugs back to him for a refund. I got denied and told i need to bring the car in. Why would i bring my car in when someone is going to raise their voice at me over the phone and not do something that is so simple. You can equate that to a return policy, that's what I was trying to do. He didn't try to do anything to win me or my boyfriend back as customers. Just noticed that probably because of the gas buying panic that's going on right now that they raised their low octane gas price to $3.13 per gallon! This place is the worst. Gas is overpriced but most notable is that awful garage. I brought tires which were on new wheels and asked them to install; they quoted my $40. Give me a break!! It takes 10 minutes to take off wheels and put on new ones. I went on backlick road right down the street and found a place that did the exact same job for $15. Yesterday, my girl's car would not start and since I am out of town, I told her to jump it and take it to Advanced Auto next door to get it diagnosed. She mistakenly took it to this gas station, asked them to run battery diagnostics, and was handed a $70 bill 15 minutes later. That sh*t is free at Advanced Auto!! Come on man!! read more

I only get gas from here. Their price is always average to other gas stations. And it's convenient to get in and out. It's spacious too and have 8 stations. Great experience with these mechanics, they took in my Volvo which wouldn't start. They determined in ten minutes it was a bad starter, and quoted me $300 for a new one plus labor, which seemed awfully high. I researched starters and bought one for $100 and they installed it without complaint, only saying they wouldn't warrantee the starter (which had its own warrantee). No problem! They had the starter installed in an hour and I was on my way. I also had the tire pressure sensor fail on my truck and ordered the part for $25 on Amazon and they installed it for the cost to mount a tire which I found a very fair business practice. I think it's important to mention that a national tire chain where I typically do all my business would NOT accept a part I brought in, and wanted $200 for the part and labor - what a ripoff and shame on you Firestone! Took my moms car for brake replacement and oil. Why. Brad is the only one who will install my parts I buy although he won't warranty them which is ok. So I double and triple check the work when done. Drive it around and make sure its all good. Everything went good. I've notice more people going here as he is more busy than ever. I've been taking my minivan there for several years, and have been very satisfied with their work. Today, in 90 degree weather, my minivan decided to quit on me in a shopping center parking lot. A nice man tried to jump the battery -- didn't help. Sooooo, I called Brad. I explained to him what had happened. He called a tow company and arranged for my van to be towed. When I got to the service station, Brad took control. He and his crew pushed the van into the bay and almost immediately got started on it. He found another issue, called me to explain and I authorized the work, and advised that I would be able to pick up the van before COB. He scared my entire family and I had no choice but to leave the place due to this person being crazy and asking to switch lanes/pumps. Technical good work they are honest and they have no gouged me like other service stations. You can watch them do the work. But when you are get pushed back to the last car of the day and the guy is tired and working on your car I would recommend the owner, who is definitely a master mechanic, double check the work before signing off. Just by chance I checked the oil days after and found oil leaking all over the oil filter. Had a friend look it over and he just said it happens. I assume he meant the filter is loose or whatever. But he said I caught it fast enough to not do damage to the engine. I just tell people to double check everything they do because even the simple oil filter can be messed up if the person is tired or many other reasons. This is a couple of weeks overdue but I love the customer service at this Sunoco station. I had probably the worst workday of my life which begin with me having a flat tire and having to leave my car for service at another gas station near public transportation. Mid-day they called to quote me a price twice as much as I paid for the tire! I called Sunoco at Saratoga and J.D. came to my rescue like a knight in shining armor. He helped me arrange to have my car towed from the other gas station, found a tire for half the price the other gas station quoted, and wasn't annoyed at how many times I called. When I came to pick up my car, he personally spoke to me and put my mind at ease. And the winner is.....JD at the Saratoga Sunoco for supreme customer service!
