This was my first time in using this shop, which was recommended via word of mouth. I came in to have my car's entertainment screen replaced. My overall experience was great! I like how I was kept informed of how the work was being done. I was brought into the shop to see an issue from previous work as well. The owner also went above and beyond with this screen replacement, and I feel he was very honest with the work he performed. I will definitely come back to Action Auto Sound & Security for work I need done with two other vehicles. Thanks guys! read more

In today's environment it is challenging to find an area specialist who offers a quality service, has availability, all at a reasonable/great price. Shaun, with 30 years experience, is clearly one of a kind at the top of his field. He installed a (just released) VIOFO 329s 2 channel dashcam in my 2026 Honda HRV in lighten speed. Cannot say enough about his professionalism, customer service .... And most importantly the end result read more

Shaun did an amazing job upgrading my stock 4" screen in my 2014 Silverado. He provided different options for me to choose from along with the pros and cons of each to help me make an informed decision. The quality and timeliness in which he completed the job was top notch. Highly recommend this business for any audio and security system needs you may have. read more

I brought my car in to get a dash cam installed, Shawn took care of it quickly, everything works great, and he charged me $200 less than I was quoted by another shop (which wanted to charge twice what I paid for the camera just for the install). I definitely recommend this shop! read more

Had a new car stereo installed in my Highlander. Shawn had installed my first car stereo years ago in my old car and I was so pleased with his work that I had him install one in my new car. He is the best installer around that's for sure. I highly recommend his business and will always go there for any auto installs. Thank you Shawn!!! read more

Action Auto Sound & Security - New car stereo!! - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - Fredericksburg, Virginia

I have been meaning to get around to updating this review. The microphone that was installed which is supposed to allow me to make and receive calls through the stereo system does not work. It has actually never worked. I don't make a whole lot of calls while driving, but it's pretty annoying to not have that functionality. read more

This place is the BEST! Honest, fair and fast!!! Doesn't try to sell you more than you need...just helps you figure it out!

Shaun was awesome. He helped me set up a system for my Malibu that has exceeded my expectations. He was really patient with me as I don't understand audio language but I had a a basic idea and he built upon that. Highly recommended! read more

This is the best place you can go for your audio and security needs for your vehicles by far! Shaun is the owner and is extremely intelligent and absolutely knows what he's doing and is completely an honest person. I went to his shop over 10 years ago and he installed and wired my entire truck for an aftermarket system and did an amazing job with not one wire showing and it all works to this day. I just went back to him to replace my old door speakers and get a new touch screen deck with all the newest apps to control my music experience. He also adjusted my Amp for my subwoofers and the new JL Audio C1's he installed and I went back to get an adapter put in for my audio control on my steering wheel and he got me in early and gave me a great deal! He never tried to sell me on something I didn't need and once again did an amazing job! I would never take my vehicle's anywhere else for custom audio and security! Thanks again Shaun.. read more

The guys at action tint and sound are crazy good at what they do. I couldn't believe how cheap their prices are too! I've got a 2008 Roush 427r, and basically, I won't let anyone near my car. They Only charged me $200 for a GPS tracker, with installation! That's nuts! I can track my car on my iPhone and iPad whenever I feel like it....good luck to anyone who tries to steal my car. I also had a Pioneer Avicx 930bt installed for less than the manufacturer recommended price alone. My viper alarm was less than half the price of any other dealer within 200 miles! Don't believe me? Check my pics! These guys rock, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with the second largest investment (other than my house) I'm likely to make. read more

This place is local small business at it's best. I needed to replace my stereo head unit once my old one was stolen - the old one was installed by best buy and was a pretty solid unit but the price was outrageous. I came in and Shaun gave me a super fair price which was 1/3 of what best buy charged for a WAYYYYYY superior service. He was very straight forward with pricing, install, and overall knowledge of what needed to be done. He even used his knowledge to save me $100 dollars on a piece that I could do without. Even though I kept him past the 6pm closing time he took his time showing me how the new radio worked and even setting the time and colors on it for me. He pays super attention to detail, is very reasonably priced, and overall just a nice guy. I could not recommend this place higher. read more

All I can say is awesome. Shaun knew exactly what I was asking, told me the radio I wanted had a newer version and then helped me decide on a cheaper version since the one I looked at had an option I didn't need so he saved me money, told me flat out he doesn't upsell and he didn't! Called me on my appointment day to tell me he was done with an earlier appointment so I could come any time rather than waiting. Had WiFi and TV for me to watch while I waited, did a speedy job with excellent, professional results. And then took the time to show me how the radio worked and the options. I highly recommend Shaun and will be back if I need any more work :-) Dave read more

Shaun did an outstanding job in installing a stereo in my truck. He's professional, courteous, and expedient. Shaun was absolutely amazing. Installed Touchscreen, sub, steering wheel controls, mic, everything we needed into our Impreza. Also spent time to show us how to work everything and made sure we left without any lingering questions. He "right fit" our needs and completed everything in 2 hours. They were insanely knowledgeable and professional and I would recommend them to ANYONE. Such a refreshing experience to be treated and serviced like the "good ole days", where they actually care for and appreciate your business. They did a bang up job, gave us a great deal and a bit of an education to boot. Thank you Action Auto Sound!!!! -Ted Q read more

I found Action Auto Sound and Security searching on line for someone to upgrade the radio in a 2004 Subaru Outback Wagon Lmtd to include a rear camera and blue tooth capability. I was impressed with the good reviews Shawn received and now I know why. All I had to do was tell him what I needed in the way of a new audio/security system and my budget - he did all the rest. The installation was done on time and well within the budget discussed. Shawn took time to take me through all of the capabilities of the new system from setting the clock to the extensive equalizer options (most of which I will never use!). He connected my iPhone to the new system and walked me through a test call. The backup camera worked great and the installation looked absolutely professional. I would recommend Action Auto Sound & Security to anyone looking for exceptional service at a fair price from a man who is clearly a subject matter expert on sound & security systems! Oh - an he is a really nice person to do business with! read more
