I took my car into Varitech because I heard a concerning sound while I was driving on 95. Eric tried to duplicate the sound to figure out what the issue was. He worked in my car for over an hour but couldn't find any issues. He refused to charge me and told me that if I heard the sound again I could bring my car back. This is the place for your auto needs. 6months they been open but I shitt you not they will take care of you. I put in for a yelp quote for local business and they replied right away. I needed a camshaft sensor replaced that another dealership messed up the fob. I was quoted the dealership price of labor 180 everywhere else for 30mins worth of work. They have a lower labor charge per hour and broke it down by how long the actual job took. Plus they gave a military discount. Eric the manager was the one working on my car, was super thorough, got the sensor replaced and then went into diagnose any further codes to ensure there was no issues with my Xterra. This fly-by-night shop will lie, deceive, and take your money. In July 2024, I contacted this company regarding my truck and transmission. I informed the shop's owner, Eric Bayrer, that I could drive my vehicle forward but could not reverse. I was adamant about having my transmission rebuilt. Our initial conversation was that the job would be completed in three days. Since our initial conversation and transaction, Eric has come up with multiple excuses for getting the job done. When following up, more excuses arise. On Tuesday, August 13th, he said the truck would be ready by August 15th. He kept trying to push an already-built transmission, but I was adamant about having my own rebuilt. He then communicated that he would need a few extra days. Then, on August 18th, I texted to see if the truck would be ready the following Monday or Tuesday as scheduled. He said Tuesday might be possible, but it is closer to Thursday or Friday. On August 20th, I texted him to check if the truck would be ready for pickup this week. He said, "We are shooting for the end of the week. I had to go back and fix my other Tech's mistakes on a lot of things". With all the wasted time fixing the transmission, I could not finish my inspection. I first went to get the truck in October; the car could not start. The second time I went to pick up the truck, I drove the car, and the check engine light was on. The truck wasn't shifting smoothly, and there was a rough idling. The third time I went to pick it up, the car leaked fluids on October 31st, 2024. Stay away! I dropped my truck off to have the transmission looked at because it wouldn't go in gear. After several stores about what it was they told me the transmission needed to be pulled and they needed a $500 deposit to do that. Two weeks later they tell me I need a new transmission for over 6k I stopped by to talk to them and find out the truck had never been moved from the spot i parked it and they hadn't even pulled the pan off the transmission. I had the truck towed somewhere else and found out it was the torque converter and was no where neer 6k. This is a fly by night shop that will take your money. read more
