I dropped my car off in the morning, around 10 a.m., and they kept it all day, not returning it until after 5 p.m. They charge $125 per hour, so it seems in their best interest to keep your car as long as possible. The only service I had done was an amp installation, and all the equipment was already in the car. The bottom line is they kept my car all day and charged me $900. I want to support small businesses, but not this one--this is a ripoff. I took my wife's car to Best Buy for the same service, and it cost $389 to install the same equipment, plus the same warranty, and it was done in three hours. I do not recommend this place; they are overcharging customers. Just go to Best Buy--they take care of you, have fair prices, and do honest work.

How good is the OCD Offroad team in Stafford, Virginia?…read more So good that I drove my new Jeeps and Broncos the 1,500-mile round trip from West Michigan to Virginia for aftermarket installs because I have learned to trust only the honest character and competence of OCD Offroad technicians! Long gone are the days where a neighborhood auto mechanic or brother-in-law can install aftermarket lighting and electronics into existing wires by cutting and splicing and expect it all to work. Today's aftermarket offroad installers must be knowledgeable computer and electronic technicians understanding electrical engineer drawings and how to integrate new and expensive add ons into the factory systems controlled by on board fuses, circuit breakers, switches, computers and motherboards. If not done correctly, nothing will work as designed and manufacturer warranties will be voided. OCD Offroad first inspired my trust and confidence after they troubleshot and redid an aftermarket lighting job to my new Jeep Gladiator after I had paid the Michigan installer thousands of dollars only to mess up the existing system. Good help is hard to find and apparently the kids hired by this Michigan offroad business didn't know what they were doing. But the technicians at OCD Offroad figured out what was wrong with the Jeep Gladiator and made it right. Consequently, when I bought my wife a new Sasquatch Bronco in Michigan, I drove it to OCD Offroad for the install of power running boards, an ARB front bumper and winch and powerful front and rear LED spot and flood lights to illuminate the nighttime deer in the pitch-black back roads of my rural Michigan countryside. The owner of OCD Offroad, Scott Raflo, is the best. He kept me fully informed every step of the way, and managed and coordinated the myriad of interrelated tasks so that my Bronco did not languish in the shop. None of the repairs had an impact on passing the inspection. Shocked, I felt something was not right so I picked up my car and told the dealer I will seek a second opinion. I found Favio on Yelp and sent him screengrabs of the video sent to me from the dealer. He contacted me immediately stating we need to talk. He told me that the parts were not defective and this is a typical tactic dealerships are using against owners. He also said he could not in all honesty perform repairs when they are even warranted. Chris, who presented himself as the person in charge, was extremely difficult to deal with. When I asked to speak with the owner or a supervisor, he would not provide that information or allow me to speak with anyone else in management. My biggest concern was the additional work and charges that I did not authorize. I originally brought my truck to this facility because it needed a replacement transmission, and the transmission repair was covered under warranty. After they received the transmission, it took more than five days to complete the repair. When I picked up my truck, I made it approximately two miles before it broke down. The engine began rattling, ran extremely poorly, and then shut down. The truck had been running properly when I brought it to them. Instead of resolving the problem with the original repair, I was told the problem was the spark plugs and wires. I was then charged another $250 for this work, along with another $179 diagnostic charge. I did not bring the truck in for spark plugs and wires, and these additional charges were not part of the original repair I authorized. After they claimed the truck was repaired again, I picked it up and it made it only about one mile before the problem happened again. At that point, I had completely lost confidence in the facility. I had the truck towed to my home and finished the repairs myself. There was also an issue with my old parts. I specifically asked Chris to keep the old parts for me, and he agreed. When I returned approximately 30 minutes later to pick up my truck, I was told they had already thrown the parts away. I was then told that customers have to request their parts before the repair begins. That was not what I was told when I asked for them. What makes this experience particularly frustrating is that I was charged additional money for repairs that I did not authorize as part of the original job, and I ultimately had to take the vehicle home and repair it myself. I don't have a problem paying a fair price for quality work. What I have a problem with is being charged additional fees for work I did not authorize, being charged repeated diagnostic fees, having the vehicle returned to me in worse condition than when I brought it in, and then having to finish the repair myself. In my opinion, the customer service, communication, and handling of my vehicle were unacceptable. I would not recommend this facility, and I strongly suggest getting a written estimate and written authorization for every additional repair before allowing them to work on your vehicle.
