Afterwards, I contacted Hot Tint in May 2022. They responded to me that day and told me to stop by the shop. I made an appointment for later that week. When I arrived, I asked them to install the unit and a backup camera. I can't recall how much time it took but it was done in a reasonable amount of time and I'm happy with their service. I called a few other shops around this time. A couple had other projects and couldn't get to me for a few months. A couple of others didn't want to touch the van because of its age, manufactured in 1989. Hot Tint was straight-forward. They said let them see what I have and they'll let me know if they could use what I had or needed something else. I appreciate that approach. I did have a couple of problems but they were responsive. While driving home, my radio rebooted twice. The cable came loose so they told me to return to the shop so that they could fix it. The second is my clock resets to 12:00 every time the vehicle is restarted. They told me to bring it by so that they can fix it but I haven't. I'm rarely on the screen to see the time and just had other priorities. I mention these items to show that they were responsive and willing to troubleshoot the problem. I rate them high also because there are many mechanics and technicians who can work on a classic vehicle but refuse to do so. There are a handful like Hot Tint that jumps right in and do the job. I'm finally ready to add an amp and subwoofer so I will be contacting them again soon.

When I arrived at the shop to pick up my vehicle, I was told by Oscar that I ordered the stereo was incompatible with my vehicle and that I needed to order a new one, as he couldn't get the audio to play through the speakers. He did not read the instruction manual or have the professional knowledge to know that he needed to connect two wires to retain the factory amp. I still had to pay him $160 for his attempt to install the stereo. Later that day--and after a quick Google search and reading the instruction manual--I was able to install the stereo myself in 20 minutes, fully functional. I returned the next day for a refund and had to wait nearly 3 hours after the shop opened before Oscar showed up, and he was angry, rude, and unprofessional. To his credit, Oscar refunded me the full $160, but tried to charge me 4x the amount of a part I tried to purchase from him at the time of the refund. Overall, the employees of this shop display a lack of fluency in English, professional skills, and communication skills. I do not recommend Lebron's Car Audio & Security.
