But that is not the reason for my rating - I rate and review to share my customer experience. Extremely disappointing experience and a serious lack of accountability from this shop. My experience: JN Lead Enterprises Corp. doing business as Black Optix Tint damaged my vehicle during tint installation, later refused to honor their agreement to repair it, and failed to correct multiple tint quality issues under warranty. Timeline: On January 5, 2026, I brought my vehicle in for tint installation. During the pickup walkthrough that same day - before payment and before taking possession - I noticed damage to the rear passenger window in the ceramic frit area, and pointed it out to the installing technicians, Ayden and Taven. The damage was acknowledged, confirmed it did not arrive like that, and documented at that time, summarizing the partial payment agreement. We agreed that I would pay half of the service that day and the remaining balance once the issue was corrected. On January 7, I returned to the shop and reviewed the damage again with Ayden and the owner, Edessa Reed. During that walkthrough it was also noted that an irregularity in the tint film aligned with the damaged portion of the glass. Edessa stated the shop would cover the repair and suggested using a local glass partner (their preferred third-party specialist) to evaluate the window. At that point we discussed that the solution could range from a quick repair to full replacement depending on the specialist's evaluation. Over the following weeks I followed the process requested: I obtained replacement quotes from the dealer, coordinated with the shop's recommended glass specialist, and had the vehicle inspected. On February 5, the specialist evaluated the window and determined the damage could not be repaired and that full glass replacement would be required. Then on February 11, after finding out a replacement is necessary, the shop owner, Edessa R., reversed her position and stated they did not believe the damage occurred at their facility. A refund does not resolve damage nor does it deliver the service promised. The cost of replacing the glass and re-tinting far exceeds the value of the tint service. Multiple independent shops (including another Black Optix location) have evaluated the damage and reached consistent conclusions regarding the location of the damage and the visible tooling mark adjacent to it. Separate from the glass issue, there were also quality concerns with the tint installation itself, including excessive trapped debris, bubbling, and scratching that was acknowledged under warranty but never corrected. Accidents happen, what matters is how they are handled. In this case, the damage was acknowledged on the day of installation, discussed again during a follow-up visit, evaluated by the shop's chosen glass specialist, and now the shop decides to deny responsibility.

They lie about their pricing and management/ owner acted like they couldn't care less. Needless to say we cancelled our suburban appointment. We will not be returning and will not recommend this "business" to anyone.

Last year I bought a "98 camaro & I've been working on it since, little by little. Well, now that I…read morefixed all the mechanical issues that the car had I was ready to fix & upgrade the stereo. I took the car here for an estimate & I thought it was reasonable so I went with them after getting three estimates from here & two other shops. I replaced my radio with a double din radio with Navigation, SiriusXm, CD/DVD, Bluetooth, iPod Integration & HD Radio. I also replaced all the speakers. In addition to that I also had them install a 4 channel amp, 2 channel amp, 2 12" subwoofers, a backup camera & I had them upgrade the battery from 1 lead acid battery to 4 AGM batteries. On 2/3/15 I brought the car in to have the work done. I decided to installed the backup camera in the 11th hour & they didn't charge me any extra to install it. I picked up the car on 2/6/15. I drove the car for a few days & the stereo sounded great, however I noticed that the car was harder to start. So I took the car back & they looked it over, initially they only installed two AGM batteries & they wanted to install two more & wire them in parallel, Well I only drove the camaro & they said it would 3-4 hours to install the other batteries. The owner Ken offered to drive my girlfriend & myself home & we live in Jupiter which is about a 10 mile drive. They upgraded the batteries & the car now starts just like it did before this was on 2/11/15. On 2/13/15 I went back for yet a third time, because I noticed that the speaker in the drivers door wasn't putting out any sound. I asked them to look @ it. This time I had my girlfriend follow me there. I left the car with them for a few hours & when I went back Ken told me that because the window goes all the way down in the door, when I put the window down it unplugged the speaker. So to fix it they removed the speaker & rotated it so the terminals would be out of the way of he window track. They also did the same on the passenger side to prevent it from happening again. I supplied them with all the stereo components, all they supplied was the radio bezel, the AGM batteries & the wires for the amps & the subwoofers. Ken & Logan are EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGABLE & FRIENDLY. When my alternator wears out I'm going to go back to have them install a high output alternator. Which will probably be in the next six months. I wish I could give them a higher rating, THESE PEOPLE ARE FANTASTIC! I wish I could give them 10 stars

I read a bunch on the interwebs about how this was a bad idea, it was gonna screw up my low voltage battery system, the battery management system was gonna freak out. All sorts of horrific things were likely to happen. But Tim's had enough recent experience with EVs to know with the 12V batteries (not the Lithium Ion 16V or higher in some news EVs) - it was likely to work just fine. He whipped up a quote based on experience, and gave me the peace of mind to say, "Hey if it doesn't work - we'll customize according to some of the specs you're seeing online". Great! So I dropped it off a few months ago, the install went swimmingly and as planned, and I've had it thumping the hell outta my car ever since with not a single complain from the car's battery management system. Woot! Well done, Tim! Thank you!
