Thin pork belly
May G.

We got the beef brisket and thin pork belly. The meat was great quality, but I wish I could've cooked the meat myself. I like my meat seared well. The thin pork belly wasn't really thinly sliced. The meat was very expensive. I didn't order a side dish since it would have been extra. If the group doesn't eat much meat, then the price is about the same as regular Korean bbq that you cook yourself minus the side dishes.

I enjoyed the seaweed soup, it wasn't too salty. We ordered the beef and pork combo, good value for the amount of food you get(~$214). It fed 4 people probably would feed 5 people depending on how much you eat. It's not all you can eat but they do basically cook the meat for you. We also ordered the steamed egg with cheese. The egg was thick and spongy it had corn and cheese. It was definitely big enough to share between all of us as well. I really liked the last meat which was the spicy bulgogi. It had good spicy flavors. The service was nice too he came by and cooked us the meat. The ambiance is like any other Korean bbq spot.

This was one of the best Korean restaurants I've had in Texas. We ordered the beef tar tar, beef tongue, and the marinated sirloin. The service was fast and efficient. The atmosphere was as if I was in Seoul. I will definitely come back!

Had dinner with some friends at Saemeul, which was highly recommended! There was a long wait to get seated, but it was worth it! All of the meats we tried were really good quality, but the Jeju black pork (the "Wagyu" of pork) was definitely the standout for me! I'm also a huge banchan person, and the banchan here did not disappoint! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the soups were really good too. Another plus is that they cook the meat for you, so you can actually sit back, enjoy your meal, and talk instead of constantly keeping an eye on the grill. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side and can feel pretty crowded, especially when it's busy. Table space is also limited, and the stool seating is not exactly great for back support lol. Combined with the long wait, I probably wouldn't come here if I was in a rush or looking for a super comfortable, leisurely dinner, but rather for special occasions! I'd definitely come back but just be prepared for a potentially long wait!

We got the beef combo + spicy pork. The brisket was excellent and so fatty/juicy. My favorite was the short rib. It melted in your mouth and was so tender. Our waitress cooked everything for us, we didn't have to worry about the grill at all. The spicy pork was also flavored very well, it had that nice sweet and savory taste. Side dishes were good too, we got 4 refills of the potato salad. It was very busy when we got there. I recommend doing the waitlist online before arriving. It's a tight space inside and pretty crowded.

Rating: 8/10 Date Last Visited: 7/11/2026 We ordered the Beef Combo ($146) and Steamed Egg w/ Cheese ($9) for the four of us. We also got the KBBQ Wrap Set ($4) which is just lettuce and perilla leaf to wrap the meat. The beef set came with Brisket, Boneless Short Ribs, Sirloin, and Marinated Short Ribs, all of which I found very delicious. The banchan was also solid and they are quick and nice about refills if you want more. My biggest complaint is that they charge extra for the lettuce, which is not usually standard for KBBQ. Also for a "higher end" place, I was also surprised the steamed egg was not included in the combo, especially for how much we're paying. But the meat is definitely good, a 4/5 for sure in terms of taste but knocking a star off due to the pricing. Overall, I would recommend this place for good quality KBBQ but be prepared to pay extra.

It's okay here. Seating is a little tricky. I was very pregnant when I came and the stools were uncomfortable with no backing. The tables were very small for our group of 6 and quite close to other tables too. I don't think any of the food stood out. It was hard trying to get their attention to ask for more bonchon. They seemed a bit annoyed. They would come over. Do one thing and rush away before we could ask for something else. It would have been easier if they waited a min for us to ask for a few things at once vs always having to flag someone down just to ask for water or napkins. Overall the visit and food was fine. Don't think we would come again though.

I was here yesterday with my family and we had some of the best kbbq. We got the beef L combo and was enough for our family of four. I am still thinking about the brisket- it was very good and very well marbled. It was my granddaughters birthday and they played birthday song for her and brought her sparkling candle and pastries which was so sweet of the team. The banchan were all good but potato salad was my favorite. The servers cooked all our food and tended to all our needs. Annie and our server sam were amazing. Definitely a must try if you are in DFW area.

We came here with the family on Thanksgiving. We were coming in from Houston for the holiday weekend and in search of a good dinner option. We were grateful this place was open. The tables are small, barely fitting 6, but it was fun. They have built in vents at each table to suck up all the smoke, but still be prepared to walk away smelling like Korean bbq. My family actually prefers à la carte Korean bbq over all you can eat, because our experience is the quality of meat is higher at à la carte. We end up spending the same amount of money but we enjoy it better. This location did not disappoint. Every cut of meat we got was delicious. They work as a team here and they cook for you at the table. They also walk around refilling sides and water as well. Their Kim Chi was delicious it gave a little kick as well.

Saemaeul is usually my go-to recommendation whenever a group of friends wants Korean BBQ. It strikes a great balance between serving higher-quality meat while still keeping the casual, lively Korean BBQ atmosphere I love--sitting on stools around the grill, sharing plates, and cooking everything together. It feels much more authentic than many other spots, while offering a noticeable step up in quality from your typical all-you-can-eat restaurant. Their galbi never disappoints, and it's always the first thing we order. In fact, we almost always end up getting multiple rounds because it's that good. If you're planning to visit with a larger group, I'd recommend making a reservation or arriving early, as this place gets pretty busy, especially during peak dining hours.

I really enjoyed the barbecue at Saemaeul. We ordered the Special Mix Combo to split between 5 friends. We were worried that it won't be enough but it was the right amount to share with friends. There was a wait outside the door but you are able to check in through the Yelp app before arriving there. The wait was about an hour long for us on a Friday night. When we got there, the service was very quick and the food was delicious. Although, I would order the Beef Only Combo next time I go. The ambiance was like your authentic KBBQ joint in Asia. The waiters go around the restaurant cooking food at each of the table although I think the seating could be larger.

I'm usually prefer AYCE kbbq but my husband and I wanted to give Saemaeul a try. I now understand the hype. The service is great compared to getting AYCE. The sides were probably one of the best banchan I have had. We also had the seafood pancake and the beef tartar as well. You won't be disappointed with anything on the menu.

Cattleack Barbeque - Best barbecue in DFW

Here's a cleaned-up version that keeps your personality and food-review voice:…read more Cattleack BBQ DID NOT disappoint. Right now, on my highly curated list of the 25 best BBQ spots in all of Texas, Cattleack sits at #12--so obviously I had to try it, especially because it's literally down the street from my new place. I knew how that line could get, so I pulled up at 10:05 AM . Basically had BBQ for breakfast. And since I plan on hitting ALL 25 spots on my list, I made sure I tasted a little bit of everything so I could give it a proper review. First test: THE RIBS. I'm from St. Louis. Ribs are always going to be one of my first tests of whether somebody can really throw down on the BBQ pit. I got a whole pound, and they were GREAT. Passed the test. Then came the Toddfather sandwich... WHEWWWW. Brisket, smoked sausage AND pulled pork all on one sandwich. My God. So good. To finish off the meat test, I got one big piece of fatty brisket. Excellent. Exactly what I wanted. Now the sides... The mac & cheese was surprisingly GOOD. And if you know Texas BBQ, you know finding a BBQ spot with mac & cheese that can actually hold its own isn't always easy. The burnt-end baked beans had a great smoky flavor, but there were almost TOO many burnt ends in them . I was like damn, can I get some beans too?! Still good though. And finally, the banana pudding? FIRE. It was like a fancy version because it had a toffee flavor to it. Cattleack absolutely delivered. Love the vibes inside and out. This is officially a Ken's Approved Restaurant and earns the KenStar of Approval. 12 down... the journey through Texas BBQ continues.

This has been on my list for a long time, and I finally got a chance to try it out over the summer…read more I live in Fort Worth and their hours are not convenient for me to get to them, thats why it has taken me so long to try them. I read about the long lines and the lack of parking, but when I visited, it was maybe an hour before they closed, so I was actually able to find parking right outside the front door, and there was no line. There were also plenty of seating inside. When I got there, they were out of certain items, but that was expected since they are in high demand. Since it was just me, I ordered half a pound of brisket and half a pound of ribs along with a side of mac and cheese. To be honest, it did not live up to its hype. The brisket was a little dry, and for how much they charge per pound, I was expecting more meat than fat. The ribs were my favorite, and the mac and cheese was ok too. I got my order to go, and they only gave me a few sandwich bread slices and like 2 small containers of pickles. I think next time IF i go and IF i happen to be in the area i will try to eat inside that way I can get more of the bread/pickles because i love those on my BBQ.
