So I had really high hopes and some of my experience was good. They comp your valet when you eat at the restaurant. The hotel decor is beautiful and they have so many things in the hotel to make your stay convenient. The restaurant is on the 27th floor so the view is amazing. We had a reservation because we were celebrating a birthday and we were sat quickly. And then our experience faltered some. It felt like because we didn't order the way our waiter wanted us to, if felt like he was not super helpful during our meal. My husband had to pull him aside to order bread because he wouldn't take our order until our whole party was there. When we did finally get to order, it took a little while to getour food, even though they did not seem incredibly busy. They also charged my husband $5 to bring him a small saucer of house made steak sauce. The steak was just ok. My salmon was pretty good, we also enjoyed the brussel sprouts and mushrooms but we did not care for their version of Mac and cheese. We also tried to order some brussel sprouts to go and he made it seem like it was a problem but we wete able to get them. For the prices I wish our food and experience was excellent a but it was just meh. After we paid, the waiter seemed nicer. He took birthday pictures for us and helped resolve a problem our friend had with parking. I wish he had that same energy while he was waiting on us.

Came here for a Happy Hour with my team and it would definitely be described as a mixed experience! It opens at 5pm and the elevator does not take you to that floor until then ! But it's not that spectacular with a view of some freeways ! Service began really, really slow - we waited quite some time for drinks and even then several team members were forgotten! Drinks were also hot and miss - French 75 was poured to a different level for each person that ordered it and the champagne was a little flat! We had to request plates and utensils when food was brought out but it got better after that! Caviar churros were okay - a little chewy but the crudo was delicious and the basics - French fries and bread were delicious l! Ended with a nice glass of Faust and it ended way better than it began !!

Very nice inside. Big windows overlooking the city at night was nice. Everything is à la carte. We ordered the prawns to share and they were presented with a wow factor . Other side included Brussels sprouts, corn casserole and the Parker rolls. All delicious. A friend and I shared the small filet and the salmon, both were cooked perfectly as we requested. Service was great. They should offer to split checks for large parties.

Everything was just okay, it wasn't to run home about; the entire table felt the same. We were also there forever, it took atleast 45 min for them to come ask our party about apps and drinks. Beautiful place with gorgeous views, just not somewhere I'd come to with a large party perhaps. Id come back to see what that steak talking about though.

Had our 10th anniversary dinner here during a 3-night long stay in the hotel. We were seated isolated by a window with a beautiful view. The food was superb. I was most excited for the bone marrow which we were able to take home for my doggy to enjoy afterwards! We're happy with our memorable experience here. The written card from the staff was so sweet. Definitely get the ice cream dessert if you want to end with some sweetness! It was such an experience with just the smoky presentation.

Decided to eat here today, as we are staying at the Hotel for the CMSA conference. In addition, everyone has said nothing but nice things about the food. We arrived on the 27th floor between 5-5:30pm. We were quickly greeted and seated close to the kitchen. Our waiter, Marcus, was phenomenal. He explained everything to us and made recommendations. He made the experience all the more memorable. We opted for the prefixed menu that's available now thru July; Salad: Caesar (Best Bite ) Entree: Surf &Turf (Steak and Prawn) Dessert: Lemon Olive Oil cake w/ Raspberry sorbet Best bite was the Caesar, hand down, but I'm a Salad Snob. It had just the right amount of dressing, and the garlic bread crumble is chef's kiss. I didn't miss the croutons at all. Meat was grill to perfection with a great sauce and just the right amount of creamy potatoes. It also comes with a side of onion jam, yay! Now dessert, this is not your tradition lemon olive oil cake. If you are looking for strong lemon flavor, opt for something else. Although it's tasty, I couldn't taste any lemon at all. It's more of a Vanilla bean olive oil cake, encased in white chocolate and hazelnuts. Enter freely and enjoy the warm atmosphere and amazing views of downtown. They've been approved.

This place is very elegant with soft lighting and a calm, welcoming vibe and the view is great. The food was superb. Service is good. Overall I love it. My favorite was the 6oz a5 miyazaki .

The food was delious and the drinks were great. Our seats where not the best and we asked to move but they did not accommodate us although the restaurant was fair empty when we arrive.

The restaurant is on the 27th floor of the Anatole hotel with views of the city all around. The upscale classy ambiance is the best thing going for this place. We were celebrating a birthday and came here for a llate dinner with family and friends. The waitress did not give good service and we felt a bit rushed most of the time. She kept trying to pick up dishes off the table that we weren't done eatting. She even forgot to pack my side dishes after taking them off the table and I requested them to go. She was too busy trying to get our party out of the restaurant. The food was decent but i felt it was a bit over priced for some of the entrees to be so plain. I saw they have happy hour arounf 5pm and a live piano player around 6pm. The next time the family visits, I will be picking a different steakhouse to enjoy.

Located atop the Hilton Anatole, Ser has a nice view and great ambiance with some live piano (at least on the evening we were there). We started with the oysters and Parker Rolls. The Parker Rolls are fantastic and while I don't love that a venue like this doesn't just have bread included, they were delicious. The oysters, not so much. No small fork provided, which wouldn't be an issue except that they are completely attached, so it was basically a struggle to get them out.... And the grapefruit granita (in place of mignonette) is a huge mistake. Unless they change this, don't get the oysters. Too much is focused on making dry ice pour fog over the table and not on actually having a good dish with this one. So one hit and one miss. For mains, the platinum ribeye was a solid 4-star. Very good, but not a best-in-class steak. Something you'll be happy with, but not dreaming of your next trip back. Accompanied with an add-on bearnaise, which might as well have been a dollop.... Definitely not enough. Overall, the rolls and ribeye held their own. Was a bit pricier for what you get, but you might be paying a bit for the view and location too!

I ordered my steak medium rare. It came out more medium well. I was very disappointed.

I'm surprising a friend for her bday , for a party of two what should my budget be? Thank you in advance

Entrees are around 50, plus apps, etc., if your adding wine/drinks +125. So i would plan for around 175 per person. The food is amazing and the view spectacular. Have fun!!

What is the dress code? Are jackets required or are long-sleeve button up's ok for guys?

Jackets are not required. Dressy casual will work, but don't be surprised to see people in T-shirt's and flip flops. Request Richard as your server, he's been with the hotel for 30 years, and the chef, Thomas Gray, was recently voted one of the top… Read more

The wasabi one was our favorite. You must order the crab cake! My husband got the ribeye rare and said it was the best steak he has had, and he eats a ton of steak. I got their off menu item of carne asada tacos. The meat was sooooo tender. They don't use flank steak they use a tenderloin and it just melts. The mushrooms were Devine. Glad I ordered the carne asada. The adult Mac and cheese was good but just good. Brussels sprouts were good (not the best I have had) but I think I was also just so full by this point. The asparagus is huge!!! Oh the best finisher ever- the peanut butter pie!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! I'm not even a dessert girl and I couldn't stop eating it. I loved seeing the steaks and oysters beautifully displayed, and the open kitchen was such a nice touch -- watching the chefs in action added to the whole experience. Our waiter was phenomenal -- super accommodating, attentive, and made us feel like VIPs all night. We shared the cowboy steak ($72) sliced for two and WOW... perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every bite was a moment. The sides to choose from ranged between $16-$18 We ordered the creamed spinach and it was rich and delicious. The wedge salad was fresh and satisfying. The corn brûlée? A crowd favorite -- everyone at the table was obsessed! The only miss for us was the mac and cheese -- good texture, but it didn't leave a lasting flavor impression. What truly made the night special was the energy -- the experience felt personal, warm, and inviting, making it the perfect place to celebrate my sister's 30th birthday. The restaurant was practically empty, so we sat in the bar/lounge area. The host and other staff were friendly. Our waiter came off a little smug at first and barely cracked a smile. He honestly seemed a bit annoyed that he had to wait on us, which felt very unfriendly. My friend managed to get him to loosen up a bit as the night went on though, so maybe that's just his personality. To his credit, he was very informative when it came to the main course options. The lighting was dim and intimate. Ambiance was simple and modern. I ordered the sea bass and my friend ordered the beef Wellington. Honestly, after tasting my fish, he ended up enjoying my sea bass more than his own dish. The sea bass was like butter, just as the waiter described it. If fish could fall off the bone, this one would have. It came with rice, cashews, and a ginger miso sauce. The cashews added a really nice crunch and texture and the flavors worked really well together. I thoroughly enjoyed it as b the only downside was the portion size. Like a lot of nicer restaurants, you get one small piece of fish... about the size of my pinky finger. My friend's beef Wellington, on the other hand, was just okay. He didn't say it was bad, but it definitely didn't stand out, especially compared to the sea bass. We also ordered potatoes as a side and the white truffle Caesar salad. The salad was good and the truffle flavor wasn't overpowering, which I appreciated. The potatoes were solid too and paired well with the meal. Dessert, unfortunately, was not it! We ordered the Wicked Sundae. Our waiter had actually recommended the banana pudding or the chocolate tart, but we decided to try something else. We probably should've taken his advice. The sundae tasted mostly like ice cream and was missing the main part of the dish -- the brownie. Nothing to run home about, and it also happened to be the most expensive dessert on the menu. Definitely not worth it.

Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

My only complaint...we came in early Saturday prior to Stars game. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked if we had a reservation. We did not, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked to wait. Waited maybe 5-10mins. No biggie, A lot of open tables were available for immediate sit down. Again that wasn't a big deal. I had asked for a booth & wanted to sit in front room. The hostess said no a problem. She handed us off to a younger hostess and she took us to a table. I told her I had requested a booth. In the front room only 3 tables were occupied. I pointed out the booth and she said that's for party of 6. However, we could have the 1/2 table/booth. Made absolutely no sense because that was for a party of 6 as well. I made this comment & she just stared at me without saying a word. I didn't want to seem difficult and took the table as she just walked away. Kev was confused as we were. No good communication skills. It was an awkward encounter. The restaurant wasn't busy at all & never was whole time there. Kev wasn't sure why she didn't move us a requested & was puzzled himself. However i apologized to him & explained I wasn't trying to be difficult, but prefer booth sitting and most times we will wait for one. We left at 1:45p and restaurant was no busier than when we arrived. Reservation/Booth or not! I guess saying all of this, your front staff need to have more people skills when dealing with your customers. They are the face and first point of contact. Again Kev was amazing & food was outstanding!

Went for a special night, reservations and everything, even arrived 10minutes earlier. We were not greeted by a server for 20-30 minutes PAST our reservation time, and to add on to that no water. We are typically pretty patient individuals, but eventually we flagged a waiter down, and from there the night flipped. I believe the server's name was Michael, great fellow and attentive. The FOH manager, Chris was phenomenal. Mistakes are inevitable in the restaurant industry so we understand. It is what is done after the fact that is a tell. They were great. Food was great and came out faster (On the fly). Now to the food and drink The cocktail martinis are great, cant go wrong with any. (We had the French 76 and Bleu&Gold) The Vin Scully Fries are great for the table Ribeye was great, cooked at correct temp. The Spicy Rigatoni (Zaza) was the favorite. The added sides were great complements but nothing stood out for us. Great FLUFFY cheesecake, I am not a fan of thick cheesecake, and this one was just right for the texture. We'll be back Valet parking Complimentary Limited street parking on a busy road Great interior, comfy seating

Pricey poisoning nightmare!…read more What was supposed to be a fancy celebratory night out ($725 with tip) at Drake's for my MIL's birthday ended with one of our family members in the ER and another 2 attached to the toilet (including my 72 MIL). This was roughly 6 hours after consuming seafood from this establishment. The frustrating part is we actually sent one of the 2 dishes back reporting to staff it had a strange odor/taste and was told we weren't familiar with lobster taste (being from NY this is untrue). My MIL was too embarrassed to send hers back so she ate her entire plate and my husband had about 1/4 of his before exchanging it for an alternate dish. As an emergency service provider I fully understand medical incidents like this can happen anywhere, but what prompted this review was way the situation was handled following my reporting. After reporting the incident to management we were met with what felt like an aggressive line of questioning about the members of our medical team and related details. I was told the incident would be escalated to upper management and the team would reach back out, but this never happened, even after a follow-up email. So, it's safe to say after spending a significant amount of money on what was supposed to be a special evening, the entire experience left a very bad taste in our mouths. At the very least, I would have expected some sort of gesture of goodwill or attempt to make the situation right -- even something as simple as a gift card or invitation to return for a better experience. Unfortunately, that never happened. Based on this experience, I would not choose to return and cannot recommend Drake's to others.
