Petite Filet

Malik was my server and he was phenomenal. Everyone worrying that night, Onaje and manager Jamil included, were lovely. I ordered a tossed Caesar starter, the filet mignon with a side of mushrooms, and the chocolate sin cake. Everything was cooked and prepared beautifully. I usually like at least a dab of horseradish with my steak but it was cooked so well I didn't even want it. The mushrooms are decadent and large. The Caesar was tossed heavy (which I prefer) and had plenty of cheese and pepper. I was sat at a table on the bar area right away, even though it was a holiday night. I was able to enjoy my meal peacefully and appreciate the excellent service.

Having dinner at this restaurant is always a special treat. The food and the service is always impeccable. The wait to be seated could be improved.

Salmon

Definitely the spot for fake rich people to money flex online. Tons of better options for the money. I had the salmon and it was pretty decent but I've had much before for much less money so wasn't super impressed. The ambiance of the place was nice but also not stellar. I think this place mainly gets carried by its name, however, it is better than a lot of other upscale chain steakhouses so I can't hate on it too much. Service was pretty great, but our server did accidentally spill one of our wine bottles and never brought a replacement. Wasn't a huge deal but it would've been nice since he spilled half the damn thing . Overall, pretty decent. I see this place as a Texas Roadhouse/Outback on steroids; not truly worth the price but definitely a solid meal.

The ambiance was the best experience of the restaurant, The service was ok had a 7pm reservation but didn't get seated until 7:50pm and also the Wife ordered a drink in which the waiter had forgot . The food was ok as well for it to be Ruth Chris I was expecting a whole lot more for the price . So in closing the restaurant is more the ambience and for special occasions dinner and for tell people you went to Ruth Chris.

Creamed Spinach

Dining at Ruth's Chris Steak House on West Bay Street in Savannah is a masterclass in combining Southern hospitality with upscale steakhouse precision. Housed in a historic building that perfectly captures the city's "Southern Gothic" charm, the atmosphere strikes an elegant balance between high-end dining and local character. The service was impeccable, with our server guiding us through a flawless evening that centered on the spectacular 40-ounce Tomahawk Ribeye. This specialty cut arrived on a sizzling 500-degree plate, its frenched bone adding dramatic flair to a dish that was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, boasting a salty, charred crust and a melt-in-your-mouth interior rich with marrow flavor. Paired with the signature Creamed Spinach--a velvety, soufflé-like masterpiece with warm notes of nutmeg that cut through the richness of the beef--the meal was unforgettable. While the price point reflects the premium quality, the combination of consistent execution, theatrical presentation, and the unique Savannah setting makes it a highly recommended experience for any special occasion.

The service from our server Sasha is horrible..unattentive,short, curt and kind of rude. I'm still waiting for a Togo we ordered like 10 mins ago. The place was not crowed. I am so disappointed in Ruth's Chris I don't knwo what to do. WE will not be back.. the manager, however, tried to rectify the situation and found her to be fair and genuine..that's her..

Really gross and overpriced. Tons of better options in the area. Their quality has declined so much in the past few years.

I'll preface by saying the vibe was interesting. There's a woman that sitios by tables to sing, which I didn't particularly like. The house itself gives off pre civil war vibes... so take that as you will. Nothing strange or offensive happened to me, it was the energy. Now to the meal. Our waiter was great. We ordered wine to go with our food and started with the biscuits and some oysters of the half shell. Delish! My husband ordered the scorched flounder and I got the fried lobster tails. Amazing flavors, and we were stuffed. The Olde Pink House is on the pricier side, but there's attention to the detail in the meals that match the price. There is an elevator inside, which is good since the stairs are a bit steep, and there are so many places to sit with a different feel.

It may sound crazy - but I would actually skip the entrees and order multiple appetizers and salads. The BLT salad was incredible. The crab cake app was so good. Ambiance is prohibition bar vibes so a little more rustic and casual. I was a bit annoyed by the hostess. We had a reservation for our party of 6 and arrived about 15 minutes early. I asked if we could grab drinks at the bar and she kept coming up with excuses on why we couldn't stand or sit in certain areas. Finally, I just asked her to come up with a solution because we had 15 minutes to kill and they didn't have a waiting area. Funny enough, she decided then to get our table ready. It was just odd. Our server was from Ukraine so she was efficient and fast. Not super friendly or chatty with us which missed the mark on Southern hospitality and made our experience feel cold compared to our previous dinner experiences in town. I don't fault her for it though as she did her job. We ordered an excessive amount of starters and some of the entrees. The stand outs for me was the crispy Brussels sprouts, roasted bone marrow, steamed mussels, and grilled octopus. Skip any of the bread options. They weren't even toasted. For entrees, we also decided to share them. The pork chop and NY strip were stand outs. We ended up sending back the halibut. It tasted mealy and freeze burnt. Skip the crispy Japanese eggplant. I was expecting a grilled dish and it was actually fried with a thick batter. Too heavy for my liking. Overall, we enjoyed our meal but not somewhere I am dying to go back to.

The refund came through exactly as he said it would. To be clear, the food on my visit genuinely missed, and I'm not pretending otherwise. But Tyler responded publicly, owned it, and followed through completely. That kind of accountability is rare, and it's what earned the bump. Credit where it's due on the space, too -- the ambiance is genuinely great. Warm, candle-lit dining room, an open kitchen, a well-stocked bar, and a covered patio that had a real buzz to it. It's a spot that looks and feels like somewhere you want to be, which is exactly why I'd give the kitchen another shot based on how the owner runs this place. --- Original review (2 stars): Disappointing birthday dinner. Came in for my birthday and left underwhelmed. Our server Troy was the one bright spot -- professional and attentive all night. Caesar salad: Several bitter pieces of lettuce, and no black pepper offered or available. Faroe Island salmon: Overly buttery like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The shishito cream sauce was way too acidic -- tasted like uncooked wine or vinegar. Crispy rice cakes were bland and a strange pairing (rice blocks with salmon?). The baby bok choy was decent until the sauce drowned it out. Braised beef short rib: Tender but flavorless. The mashed potatoes tasted old, not fresh that evening. To top it off, my wife had arranged ahead of time for the birthday dessert to be brought out -- the message never reached Troy, so that moment never happened. Troy deserved better than what the kitchen sent out.

The greeting from our arrival to seating was prompt and very courteous. We got suggestions from the wait staff and started our experience. They have an extensive cocktail and wine list. We started with a drink called Southern Hospitality and their branded Old Fashioned. Both drinks were exceptional. We accompanied that with Grilled Octopus, which was sensational. Very hard not to make it chewy. Great char and sauce that accompanied it. For entrees, we did the Perloo, an amazing interpretation, and a swordfish. Both dishes were immaculately prepared and perfectly sized. We chose a bottle of Loss and Lehn, something we had never tried before but recommended based on what we had ordered. It matched perfectly with both dishes. We also choose items from the pick 3 menu to accompany our entrees. We finished with the best bread Pudding we have ever had nd french press coffee. The price was very reasonable considering the quality and the service, and should not be missed next time you are in Savanah.

However, when a second one emerged from the hallway, my confidence that this was just a one-off incident tanked. By the time our food arrived, our focus had been diverted to be on roach alert. Unfortunately, the food also missed the mark--overly salty and bland at the same time. None of this aligns with The Public I know and love, so I am really hoping this was just an off night.
