Exceptional old world wine recommendation by Ted
    Brianna N.

Truly a luxury steakhouse experience for a special occasion. Ted took exceptional care of us as he explained the complimentary starter cocktail and mushroom pate to enjoy while we decided. He was so personable and patient with our questions, he truly made the night! At his recommendation I got a full bodied Barolo that was divine. Highly recommend the broiled oysters and bone marrow (I had never tried bone marrow but you layer it with the oyster on sourdough.. *chefs kiss*). The dry aged ribeye was nothing short of perfection, but what I would say the "best bite" of the night was the creamed corn!! Which sounds unrealistic at a place like this I know, but there was CORNBREAD AND MOZZARELLA- just trust me. Magic. For the experience as a whole, fantastic doesn't even scratch the surface. I'd recommend smart casual for dress code as the ambiance is sophisticated. A shining example of Savannah's upscale dining scene.

If I could leave ten stars for this restaurant I would. I had such an amazing experience here and I hope I can make it back for another. The atmosphere is wonderful. Beautiful, not too loud, plenty of seating. If you don't have reservations, they have reserved seating for walk ins. We were able to get one of these tables on a random night in. The bar has a ton of space as well and 30+ seats available from what I could tell. The service: phenomenal. Our waiter, Emmanuel, was too notch. He remembered our names and was so thorough in making sure we had a great experience. He asked for clarity on how dirty we like our martinis. He made sure everything was timed right. And this next part, I cannot stress enough : he didn't rush us. We didn't have a time limit on our table, he didn't try to force to order everything at once. If you've been dining at all recently you know rare this is. We were able to truly enjoy the meal in part due to this. The meal: everything was so good. We started with the milk bread which was so good I could have eaten ten. We also got the wagyu tartare luxury bite and while it was small it was packed with flavor. For the main course we each got a steak (and they come around asking if you want garlic butter on top, YES PLEASE). For sides we split the potato puree, the gratin potatoes and the onion rings. They were amazing except the potato puree I think needed way more salt? It was almost like it was missed. The onion rings were perfectly salted and not soggy at all. It was such an amazing meal and experience and I will be dreaming of coming back.

Stunning! Marbled & Fin is a brain child of the same group that created Husk (which is another amazing place). When our sever told us this, it made so much sense. This interior is gorgeous! We sat at the bar and grabbed a few drinks, and were told that the high tops were part of the bar. I hope that lasts! Service was amazing. The staff knows their stuff and they're super kind. I was told there's a downstairs and upstairs level. We can't wait to go back and try the food. If you're just stopping for drinks, it's a cool place to do so too!

    Shrimp cocktail.

Wife and I have been to top tier restaurants across the USA and I can tell you we were really impressed with this place. The food was really good and the service was exceptional.

This is THE spot for the best in Savannah. I have been several times. I am in love. Their server Trent is one of our go tos. Their team is trained so well I forgot I was in Savannah. Listing favorites here because it all is excellent and unforgettable. The food is so perfect from their sublime mushroom amuse bouche to tuna tartar & beef carpaccio apps that were THE BEST I HAVE EVER TASTED. Porterhouse & lobster, ribeye, side dishes potatoes Au gratin, Mac & cheese, creamed spinach, milk bread - all perfect! All worth going back to taste. This is for special occasions, foodies and travelers that want to savor some of the best Savannah has to offer. And again, their team from managers to hosts to server assistants to servers are gifted at HOSPITALITY. Bravo y'all. And THANK YOU...

Beautiful restaurant and bar. Food was delicious. Service was above and beyond. May be our new fav restaurant in Savannah.

Stunning absolutely stunning...,everything from the building to the food to the staff. The second you walk in everything is so warm and inviting, To start we had "Much Appreciated" cocktail which in fact was appreciated and delicious! My date had the old fashioned which came with their signature ice with their initials. For starters we had their amazing wedge salad which frankly was the best wedge salad I have EVER had. The blue cheese is from London so you know it's amazing. The Mae's Milk Bread was so fluffy and the salt on top was spectacular and really brought out the flavor of the bread. We had to try their luxury bites which was small but mighty! (Sauternes, Calamansi, Pink Peppercorn). For our main dishes we had Ora King Salmon which was mouth melting salmon along with their asparagus and mashed potatoes it was absolutely delicious. My date had the Porterhouse stake....i don't think there is enough words in the dictionary to describe how delicious this stake was.....it was truly melt in your mouth good....it was so good we were about to hug the chef. If you are looking for a top notch stake house this is the place to go. You are treated like a gem. They actually care about your experience and make sure you have a night you will never forget.

    Au gratin potatoes and filet.

Food and service were amazing. They cooked my steak correctly (a feat in itself considering I want it well done and the steak was over an inch thick) and everything tasted delicious!

    Gorgeous ambiance

Hands down best high end restaurant in Savannah! Not only the amazing food (bone marrow oysters highly recommend)! But phenomenal service by Madeline and Jonathan the entire evening. Exceptional environment that is all about YOU!

    Crème brûlée

Found this restaurant as an alternative to going to another first, which turned out not to be what expected. It was Father's Day and only thing available was first come first serve in bar area. Nevertheless, was treated as if we were in the dining room surrounded in a pleasant, welcoming, ambience, and atmosphere. Emmanuel was extremely professional, the food was par excellent (salmon cooked to perfection with an awesome tasting sauce, tuna, extremely fresh, and the steak was seasoned and perfectly cooked, asparagus, fresh crunchy with delicious hollandaise sauce, and the crème brûlée dessert absolutely wonderful along with the coffee). Our cocktails were also spot on! Will definitely keep this one on file for return visit!

This new Savannah spot was incredible in all aspects. I sat at the bar, and the service was attentive and friendly. The space itself has beautiful high ceilings and great light. Although, it is a new building it fits right in with the historic city. The food and drinks were excellent as well. My steak was cooked perfectly, the Mac & Cheese was decadent, and the luxury bites were fun starters for a solo diner. For my taste, the Caesar salad was a little lightly dressed but it still packed great flavor.

    That damn creme brûlée wow

After we were sat, the host comes over to us and tells us we unfortunately have to move to a different table but it's, "just as nice." Confused, I got up and asked my fiancé to as well. She moved us to another 2 top, THE EXACT TABLE as the one we were originally sat at but now in between two other customers on each side. I don't mind sitting next to customers, but it was the audacity that a high end restaurant sat me and then asked me to move to the exact same table across the room for no apparent reason. It felt so unwelcomed and rude. I'm in this industry and very understanding however, I would never ask my customers to move once they were sat. If there was a mistake in arrangements, that's on the host.. not the customer. I left.

That search led me to The Olde Pink House--a magnificent historic mansion dating back to 1771, now home to one of Savannah's most memorable restaurants. The décor is beautiful, with antique furnishings, fireplaces, elegant woodwork, chandeliers, and enough historical character to make any ghost hunter feel immediately at home. The building is surprisingly large, with numerous dining rooms, each decorated and arranged differently. Exploring it feels almost like wandering through a well-preserved haunted mansion--though thankfully, the staff were much friendlier than the ghosts I had recently captured. The food was excellent, and everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered. I'm not usually much of a beer drinker, but I tried the Hostess City, a craft beer brewed exclusively for The Olde Pink House, and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Our server was wonderful, and we were even able to exchange ghost stories with them. We all had a good laugh, although I'm fairly certain one of the portraits nearby was laughing along with us. We arrived dressed entirely in black, and not a single person batted an eye. In Savannah, this is apparently considered perfectly respectable evening attire--or perhaps everyone simply assumed we were attending a funeral for one of the restless dead. After dinner, we asked whether we could explore the other sections of the restaurant, and we were told it would be no problem. We were able to visit the different dining rooms and examine the antiques and objects respectfully without disturbing the other guests. Be sure to visit the bar downstairs, Planters Tavern. It has a wonderfully haunted atmosphere, with brick walls, old-world décor, and a beautiful fireplace that must be especially inviting during the winter months. The basement's fireplaces were reportedly part of the home's original kitchen, which only adds to the feeling that the room remembers far more than it lets on. The Olde Pink House offers excellent food, beautiful surroundings, friendly service, and just enough supernatural atmosphere to keep a ghost hunter interested. I arrived looking for somewhere to recover from the night's haunting. I left well fed, pleasantly spirits-laden, and only mildly concerned that one of the ghosts may have followed me home.

It was dimly lit and had a warm, inviting atmosphere and our server was awesome! To start, we all got the cucumber blossom cocktail. I got mine with tequila and the server was very knowledgeable about the drinks and the liquors that would work well with each one. We decided the best route for us was to split 2 apps and 2 entrees. For appetizers, we went with the focaccia and the crispy brussel sprouts. Both were AMAZING! I always love bread to start a meal. And the Brussels were nice and soaked in balsamic glaze, which maybe diminished the "crispy" in the title... but I didn't mind because they were delicious. For our entrees, we went with the gnocchi and the catfish served over grits. I would say the standout was the catfish. The gnocchi was good, but not as good as the other dishes we had. Overall we had a great experience splurging a bit on a nice meal. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation on the weekends. They seemed to be busy!

It felt like a quick dismissal. I had to ask if there was a waitlist, and only then were we told it was about 45 minutes. On top of that, parts of the conversation were directed to my husband rather than me (even though I was the one speaking), which didn't sit right. This interaction was with a hostess [long hair, glasses]. Thankfully, another hostess [short blonde hair, orange pants] stepped in, and they shuffled some tables, and got us seated -- which we really appreciated, especially with a toddler. From there, the experience completely turned around. The ambiance was really cute -- dim lighting with little candles that made it feel cozy and romantic. Our server [tall, muscular] was fantastic and the food was genuinely very good. So here's the takeaway: the kitchen and service once seated are strong, but the first impression at the door needs work. It shouldn't take a second ask to feel like a guest.

This said, I do think there is inconsistency based on staff at the restaurant. On one occasion they have accommodated a request, and on another I was denied the exact same request. I found this frustrating. On one occasion I've also seen management talk down to staff here, which is a big no no for me. All people (especially staff) are due respect and this rubbed me the wrong way. This was an isolated incident but it definitely made my dining experience uncomfortable. Especially because I was getting excellent service from the server!!! I've always had quality service from servers here. Sitting along the river while watching massive cargo ships slowly make their way toward the Atlantic creates one of those uniquely Savannah experiences you simply can't find anywhere else. Service like his is a big part of what turns a great meal into an unforgettable one. Now, the food... The crab cake was one of the best I've ever had--easily 95% lump crab with barely any filler. Just fresh, sweet crab prepared perfectly. The beef carpaccio was elegant, incredibly flavorful, and disappeared far too quickly. Then came the French onion soup. There's a reason the National Onion Association recognized it as the best. Rich, deeply caramelized, perfectly balanced, and topped with a blanket of bubbling cheese. Without question, the best French onion soup I've ever had. The black truffle scallops were buttery, tender, and absolutely decadent. The evening's special--a blackened filet paired with shrimp linguine--was phenomenal. The filet was cooked to perfection, and the shrimp linguine brought bold Cajun flavors that made us feel like we had been transported straight to Louisiana. To finish it all off, watching enormous cargo ships leave the Port of Savannah bound for destinations around the world while enjoying an incredible meal is an experience all its own. Vic's on the River delivered on every level: exceptional food, first-class service, and an atmosphere that's impossible to duplicate. Credit where it's due on the space, too -- the ambiance is genuinely great. Warm, candle-lit dining room, an open kitchen, a well-stocked bar, and a covered patio that had a real buzz to it. It's a spot that looks and feels like somewhere you want to be, which is exactly why I'd give the kitchen another shot based on how the owner runs this place. --- Original review (2 stars): Disappointing birthday dinner. Came in for my birthday and left underwhelmed. Our server Troy was the one bright spot -- professional and attentive all night. Caesar salad: Several bitter pieces of lettuce, and no black pepper offered or available. Faroe Island salmon: Overly buttery like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The shishito cream sauce was way too acidic -- tasted like uncooked wine or vinegar. Crispy rice cakes were bland and a strange pairing (rice blocks with salmon?). The baby bok choy was decent until the sauce drowned it out. Braised beef short rib: Tender but flavorless. The mashed potatoes tasted old, not fresh that evening. To top it off, my wife had arranged ahead of time for the birthday dessert to be brought out -- the message never reached Troy, so that moment never happened. Troy deserved better than what the kitchen sent out.
