Perfect stop on our way to the airport. Service was fantastic. Food was great. Well seasoned and made fresh. We started with some French Onion Soup and the Slamming Shrimp appetizer--both were delicious. For mains I had the Black & Blue Chicken Sandwich and my guy had the Caddy Melt. Both were cooked perfectly and scrumptious.

What a great find this restaurant was. We had been in the car 9 hours and needed a relaxing calm place, Sharon our server was amazing! She recommended the seafood special, it was perfect. Cosmo was the best I've had had in a long time. We will be back!!

I haven't been to Sam Snead's in awhile but a Birthday Celebration brought me back! It's a nice setup but definitely a casual vibe. It was September and still hot out but the air was blasting to the point everyone was going to the car for a jacket. We asked our server and they eventually turned it down. My nose started running... The menu has alot of variety and from.what I hear you can't go wrong. I ordered a side Cesar Salad and the Flatbread. I can be very indecisive so being able to do 1/2 Chicken & 1/2 Steak! I enjoyed my meal and I had enough flatbread to take home for a snack! Everyone in the party reported enjoying their food and drinks! Our server was very attentive and ensured we were taken care of! I will return & you should give it a try!!!!

The food was good. The server was attentive. It was a little too dark for liking but otherwise I did like the George bush signed pictures.

Located close to the airport, Sam Snead's Tavern is always consistent and the food is delicious. Perfect for a business meeting, date night, or place to meet friends. The crowd is typically a tad older. They have a decent sized menu. I love their French onion soup. The flatbreads are massive! You can't go wrong-- they're all delicious. The sandwich's and burgers are also a good choice. The steaks and juicy and typically served with smashed potatoes. The only odd menu item is the chicken Marsala, it's delicious but don't expect a traditional Italian-style Marsala.

My wife and I love this place. We started off with drinks from the bar. My wife got a smoky Manhattan, and it was served with a lid on. When she removed the lid, the smoke rose from the drink. Really cool! (That made my Rum and Coke look boring. But it was as good, though!). For dinner, I had the Chicken Tenders dinner, which was really tasty. It came with my choice of two sides, so I selected mashed redskin potatoes, and some cole slaw. My wife opted for the Tavern Flatbread. She couldn't decide if she wanted Steak or Spicy Shrimp, so our server suggested that she order it half and half. Steak on one side, and spicy shrimp on the other! That's exactly what she did and she loved it! Food and service here is great, and it's a very pleasant atmosphere.

French onion soup is seriously AMAZING! Make sure you order one. Also, kids grilled cheese was so good too. Crispy and fresh. My husband and I ordered burgers and I have to say they were delicious. The only thing I have to say is the fries aren't to die for but that's doesn't mean they deserve a lesser star for it. They weren't too hot or crispy. Just okay. But the ambiance is threat, bathrooms are super clean, sweet iced tea is great, and prices were also reasonable. Would definitely come back if we're ever back out that way! Great location too!

Well located for a beer call after work, a celebration, a meal just passing through , a meal before or after flights or a round of golf. Service (most recently by Lisa) is excellent, and the location nicely decorated with a variety of seating options. Indoor, outdoor, bar, high tops, tables, booths. Food is great, always tasty with something for everyone

2.5 rating. Date 4/4/24 Lovely atmosphere, and they were busy. Our waiter Paul 3.5 stars outta 5, overall great personality but lacked detail towards table, ie refills etc. Also, being the specific person I am, I asked if the crab cakes have a lot of bread. His response, no. Crab cakes arrive, and I was playing find the crab meat. Shared this with him, and he stated he would let the kitchen know. Well, alright then.

Stopped by on a Thursday around 7:30. Located right off the highway and parking was easy. Only waited about 5 minutes for a table for 3. This place has a typical old school Steakhouse vibe. Lots of dark wood and quiet conversations. Our waitress was amazing. Friendly but not annoying and she had answers to all of our questions. Most importantly, she got all of our orders right. I ordered the ribeye steak (medium). Mashed potatoes and garlic green beans came with the steak and a house salad came out before. The homemade balsamic dressing was really good. Everything we ordered came out perfect and tasted better than I expected. Blackened Magi Mahi was great, my son's chicken tenders were really good from what I heard. Now for the important question. Will I go back there? Yup! Can't believe I almost went to Texas Roadhouse across the road if it weren't for the 60 minute wait. So glad I didn't make that mistake.

This place is just okay. It definitely was probably once the talk of the town, but it feels more like a neighborhood bar and grill with Savannah food prices. Good theme everywhere, so if you're into that, you'll likely geek out! The blackened mahi wasn't bad. I asked for the sauce on the side, and the spice would taste better with the grilled mahi. My partner got the ribeye and wasn't impressed, BUT the mashed potatoes were delicious! Especially with the black peppercorn sauce. Drinks weren't bad, and staff was lovely. The place would do well with a deep clean (there's carpet throughout). I could see us going back, but it would be our first choice.

Every time I'm anywhere close, I make it a point to stop, and this trip was no different. I was driving back home to North Carolina and had to make one last stop because it's just that good. The food is always fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. The sandwich was perfectly toasted with fresh ingredients, plenty of parmesan, and an amazing sauce, and the fries were cooked perfectly. Even after the 2021 rebrand, it still held on for a while, but something in the last 5 years at the main office has completely lost touch. They expanded to three locations: ; downtown, Tybee, and Hilton Head, and in the process the whole identity fell apart. The menu has been gutted of its originality. The "OG" items are now overpriced, portion sizes have been cut in half, and the original sides that made it special are gone. What used to be a simple, order-and-sit-down experience is now chaotic. You're herded in by an overstaffed but somehow still disorganized team of high-turnover employees with zero consistency and very little emotional intelligence. There are always way too many staff for the number of customers, yet service somehow keeps getting worse. Last night was the final straw. We tried the Tybee location first, waited 30 minutes just to be seated, only to be told they were basically out of everything and could only do drinks. So we drove to downtown. Same exact thing. Out of sausage. When we asked if we could just remove it or substitute it, we didn't get a simple no, we got an "absolutely not," because apparently everything is pre-mixed and nothing can be adjusted. Even worse once we sat down. It took 15 minutes just to be asked for drink orders. A different server came over, introduced himself like we were starting fresh, and then got visibly annoyed when we said we'd already ordered water and a soda. From there it just kept getting more awkward. At one point he bumped my cup while I was literally lifting it to my lips and told me to "watch out" while he was placing food down. He took forever to check us out and finally bring our soda to go, and ended the night by saying, "just so you know I'm faster than the other girl," like we were in the middle of some weird staff competition we didn't sign up for. On the outside it still looks like a fun Savannah staple. But once you sit down, you realize you're no longer a local guest, you're trapped in an overhyped tourist operation that's completely lost what made it good in the first place.

Yea man, it is good-oud! We decided to dined in, being tortured by the Leopoldo's ice cream case the entire time as our food was prepared fresh because we gave up ice cream for lent. But I have been distracted and stayed from our focus here. Anybody got some ice cream? We covered the ambiance, FatzGirlz's is located in a gas station with a very clean restaurant, concrete floors, and three, two top tables. So dining in has limited seating but is very pleasant. But fret not, they offer carry out meals which are very popular as there was a continuous stream of customers the entire hour and a half we dined that did not stop. Here is why we enjoy going to a restaurant, it's the FOOD! And the food here is savory, tasty, hot, perfectly cooked, and an awesome eating experience. They offered us the best corn bread we have ever eaten topped with a chef recipe Maple and Bourbon topping which tasted fantastic. We ate the Salmon, crabmeat and shrimp and I could not finish it because it was a large portion which almost never happens. So come prepared to eat. My lovely, pristine beauty dining mate had their kissed fried shrimp that were so light, the shrimp floated above the surface of the table waiting patiently as they danced into our mouths. The candied sweet potato's were divine, and the collard greens were perfect. You don't just enjoy this food, you savor every bite! We met our Chef/Owner, her Sister, and our Server who were all a hoot and a lot of fun to talk with in this Family affair restaurant. Like everybody I have gotten used to less than stellar, fast food service nowadays given the challenge with finding good labor. But this Jersey Mike's Location really needs to reevaluate It's current employee roster. And starting with the Young gentleman who was the primary person making sandwiches the day I visited, they need to give this kid the pink slip or find a new way to motivate him because he was clearly not happy about being at work and seemingly took it out on the customers via excruciating, slow and sloppy customer service. From the time we walked in the front door to the time I finally paid for my sandwiches and left, It took almost 25 minutes. And I know you're reading this and saying why would you stick around that long but this was one of those days when I just wasn't willing to go somewhere else Simply because Service wasn't up to standards. But I should have. One of the problems is, they seemingly didn't have a good system for handling large corporate orders, while simultaneously serving regular customers. This was punctuated by two employees, consistently, crossing back-and-forth between the primary employees preparing sandwiches, which further disrupted time and precision. Three or four customers bought their sandwiches back to the front counter while I was in line because they were either made incorrectly or missing ingredients. I would definitely avoid this location if you have somewhere important to be or just need to get things done during the day.

There was some good banter with customers which made the space feel really comfortable. For example, I mentioned they kept it cold, and customer behind agreed 1000%, and the staffer made light hearted comment "We sweatin back here in the kitchen". It started going downhill as the wait time was not fast. There were no customers when I entered and it took a long time to make the sandwich. I didn't time it, but estimating over 10 minutes. I did order a hot sub so they needed to cook it. I think cold subs are faster. Secondly, as noted on last visit, I was not a fan of the spongey bread. I ordered the basic white bread this time. I love me some good bread. The worst part was the taste of the sub. This has nothing to do with local store employees, as they are making sandwiches per restaurant chain recipe. The chipotle mayo in my CHIPOTLE BEEF CHEESESTEAK was gross. It didn't even look appetizing (see picture). It was so bad that I questioned if I would finish it, but had missed lunch and was eating a late dinner so I was super hungry and didn't want to find something else to eat. On the way out, the friendly staff asked how I liked the sandwich and I said I would not order again. One piped up and replied, "yeah, i don't like that chipotle mayo either" and recommended the cheeseteak without the mayo. Again, kudos for the staff for being friendly and honest, but I am not liking the chain.
