St. Louis-Style BBQ Ribs HALF RACK
    Robert H.

So I was trying to find a spot to grab lunch with my parent before I got on my flight. Decided on this spot because it has Salmon for my dad and it was close to the airport. We got in and the place felt a little dated. We were quickly seated and got some waters(no alcohol served). We ordered and the food eventually came out. My ribs were okay, but nothing mind blowing and a baked potato is a baked potato. My stepmom had the fish sandwich and was a bit dumbfounded that it had bacon on it even though bacon wasn't listed as an item on the menu. My dad had the Salmon and baked potato which came with greens and once again there was bacon and again not listed on the menu. Since he doesn't eat meat, it was a bit worry some for him as there might be meat cooked into the dishes. We quickly ate and moved on and I can say this might be a one and done.

Everything was fantastic! We used to have a Karie Hilliard's in Charleston, South Carolina and I'm so sad that they aren't there any longer! This was my husband's first time trying them and he agrees, they should come back to Charleston! Someone wanted a dinner someone wanted at lunch someone had breakfast and we were all able to get exactly what we wanted! Everything was cooked perfectly. Even though it was extremely busy with a line out the door, our waitress did a fantastic job keeping up with us. It's like you were eating in a family members kitchen and dining room. Very friendly place very delicious food and wish we could've saved room for some Dessert!!!

Just pulled into the Savannah GA location and crab stew was ordered ceasarsalad and a regular side salad.a kids cheese burger meal, catfish and shrimp, flounder and catfish and chicken strips All with assortment of sides such as Mac and cheese, fries, coleslaw green beans The crab stew just ok had alot of crab yet lacked flavor and substance in the base. Chicken stripe were exceptional and the fried catfish was delicious. Overall this was pleasant stop before resting but the star of the night was our server Madison who truly the epitome of superb customer service our beverages never went dry our food came out quickly and she check on the entire family with a pleasant smile!! Madison Super server. And the music in the background brought back memories of the 1980 and beyond good times

Food and service were nothing to write home about. Prices were pretty good and serving size was good. Brunswick stew was mushy but had a really good taste. The food was tasty enough for the price. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit them though so it's good that they are conveniently located right off I-95. So if you're on a budget, this would be a good place to stop. Otherwise i think you could find other places to try.

This was my first time here. The reddish was amazing but it took extremely long to come out. I waited about 30 mins while the rest of my party received their food. I understand that the kitchen happened to be short staffed on this day. The manager rectified the situation. I will give it another try if I'm ever in Pooler again

The food was not the best. The fries were close to raw, but as I looked around I felt like that's the way they cook them because other's looked exactly the same. The manger offered to replace the fries, I chose onion rings. The onion rings were delicious. Dine in just after 12 noon on a Monday. We were seated fairly quickly. However, service was slow, but was our waitress Kyah was very polite and friendly. The dinning area and bathroom was clean. I may consider giving this place another try.

I absolutely love this place. You get a variety of things to choose from. Very nice staff! I mostly order takeout because I am always on the go. But when I do have time to sit the place is really clean and welcoming. My go to is always the salads. The house made caesar dressing is soo good. I get the chicken , or faija chicken and shrimp caesar salad. Its soo good. Plus if you like me and love salads I also add tomatoes & extra croutons! Definitely 10/10

She has the sweetest smile and beautiful attitude, Keep up the Great work Kaydence! I must say Kendyle made me the best Chicken Fajita & Shrimp Salad I ever had from any other Carey Hilliards in Savannah! The whole Staff was amazing. This is my favorite Carey Hilliards and Hwy 80

Girl's Weekend in Savannah...Throw back ...so we had to have lunch here, such a great time and food was pretty tasty. Green beans were really spicy. But we all left with our bellies full. They give you huge portions!!!! Scallops were the star of the meal!!! The Tea was EXCELLENT!!! We would come again.

Terrific lunch today…read more Not wanting to eat heavy at lunch but uncertain what dinner looked like, we sat down and had a nice lunch in a very clean atmosphere with a very pleasant server. Being a barbecue place and proud of their brisket I went with the two meat combo, including brisket and pulled chicken. By recommendation of our server, she suggested we go with the marble brisket, and I must say that selection was outstanding. Arguably the best brisket I've ever had, and I've had and a lot of it. It truly did melt in your mouth. Plenty of meat and plenty of flavor. Not to be out done, but the pulled chicken was also equally fabulous. Very moist very tasty. The meal kicked off with buttered biscuits. Those were outstanding. They'll also bring you more if you want. But watch it they're not exactly low-calorie. With the combo meals, you get a couple of sides and I went with the coleslaw and beans. Being a fan of coleslaw I thought it was quite good. It was juicy and fresh. The beans were also good. The manager and we met and we're happy to let him know. We had a terrific experience.

It was the pepper on the brisket that was too heavy and since it was at the end of the evening, I believe I may have gotten the end of the brisket. I've had good and great brisket before and this one was in between. A bit dry and I took three bites and each one had a chunk of fat. Mind you, I love a flavorful piece of meat with some fat (fat being the best part sometimes) but it was just tasteless fat with no meat attached.... Enough about that. Besides, the waitress Brandi was the best! Sweet and attentive, she was most helpful and kept our drinks full and brought us to go cups without us even asking. Folks here were very nice and that goes a long way for me!!

We were looking for something…read morecasual but filling for dinner and because we had not tried out this place yet but had driven by several times, we decided to check it out. Definitely a great decision on a hunch. This is an all you can eat hot pot concept and frankly my first time attending this version. While I have visited hibachi restaurants in the past, this is not that. Basically this is a dual table side prep concept where you can either make your own custom soups and broths, and hot pot seafood or you can select the grill and grill of a variety of fresh meats and fish and vegetables, or you can get both. Both come with a small dessert bar and seem to be accompanied with the additional Fresh salad and sauce bar, although I'm not quite sure if one of those may have been restricted if you did the grill only or the hot pot only. Pricing is pretty fair at about $30 a person which rises to mid 30s if you decide to get both options. We went with the combo because we had never tried this concept before, but in the future, I may lean more towards the grill option only. Especially if I'm not in the mood for hot pot or soup. But I definitely enjoyed the combination choice for our first visit. The meat and vegetable selections at this restaurant are pretty vast and this is after the server first sets you up and allows you to pick from several different types of broth for your hot pot. In addition, they have a sauce bar that must've had 20+ sauces available to choose from. I think one of the most overwhelming aspects of this concept is lack of familiarity with the right combinations of hot pot and grilled options. For this we leaned heavily on our server and she did a great job of guiding us through a couple of her favorite combinations, as well as some of the favorite combinations of other patrons. This was really helpful because there isn't a menu or chart to help you unlock all of the really cool combinations that you can put together including Ramen udon and Thai soup varieties. All of the ingredients you need to make any of those dishes, but in your own customize version, are here to your heart's desire. Service is really good as they do switch out the grills rather rapidly as they will get charred and start to burn and smoke after three or four rounds of fresh meats and veggies slapped on them. However, they do not switch out your broth choice so once you make your choice, that's what you're rolling with for the rest of the dinner. All in all we were really satisfied with the freshness and the preparation of most of the ingredients and sauces. I did think the dessert bar was a little weak given the multitude of options elsewhere, but I also understand that this is consistent with the cultural preferences, which don't skew as heavy on traditional sweets, like American taste do. All in all this is definitely a treat for those looking for a great date night or just looking to take the family out for a really engaging and tasty cook at your table experience - all you can eat style!

The ambiance was quiet and really enjoyable--perfect for a relaxed meal. The broth could use a bit more flavor overall, but the spicy one was definitely the standout. We ordered off the menu rather than the buffet -- though both were available and the buffet looked well-stocked and genuinely tempting. My husband had the Shrimp & Grits: Georgia shrimp over stone-ground grits with andouille sausage, peppers, onions, bacon, and a sherry cream sauce. Rumor had it that was the move, and the rumor was right. The grits alone were the kind you don't stop talking about -- velvety, deeply seasoned, the kind of base that makes everything sitting on top of it taste better than it already is. I went with the fried catfish, a side of mac and cheese, and a bowl of gumbo. Honest take: the catfish itself was good -- the fish was fresh and well-flavored -- but the batter had gone a little soggy, which kept it from landing where it could have. That's the kind of thing that varies by timing, not kitchen quality. The mac and cheese, though, was exactly what you want: cheesy without being gluey, hot all the way through, properly indulgent. And the gumbo -- chicken and sausage, rich and built with patience -- was the best thing on my side of the table. On a rainy afternoon in coastal Georgia, it was exactly right. Then there was the cornbread, served with peach cobbler butter. That detail alone tells you something about how this kitchen thinks. It's not an afterthought. It completed everything around it. I'm not from the South, and I won't pretend to have a lifetime of comparison points. But there's a kind of food that makes you feel like you were born into it anyway -- like your body already knew what it was tasting. That's what happened here. Good for road trippers, families, rainy days, and anyone who needs a real meal after a long stretch of highway. Four stars, with the grits alone pulling hard toward four and a half.
