    Green Goddess Salad
    MonaLisa Monroe A.

A Taste of Hope Small Group of Foodies from Hope City Church recently visited The Fritzroy for a dining experience. Our server was Olivia, who was professional and courteous, although she did not visit our table as frequently as we would have preferred. The restaurant ambiance was visually appealing; however, it was notably loud, which made conversation challenging, and the service overall was somewhat slow despite the presence of ample staff on the floor. We started with several appetizers. The first was the butternut squash biscque, which was pleasant; however, it was served slightly cool, and we believe it would have benefited from being warmer. The dish was light and creamy, making it a flavorful start. The main course that stood out was the cornmeal-crusted Alabama catfish. This dish was thoughtfully prepared, with the fish cooked to perfection and complemented nicely by the grits and greens. I would definitely order this again. We also sampled the Brussels sprouts--tender and topped with lemon and Parmesan, though slightly overcooked. The side dish of green goddess salad was light, refreshing, and well-balanced, with the radish adding a pleasant crunch. The roasted half chicken with crispy Brussels sprouts was well cooked but lacked seasoning; it would have benefited from more flavorful sauce, which was somewhat underwhelming. The dish did not warrant leftovers for reheating. Other items included the Georgia shrimp, which lacked sufficient seasoning and was somewhat dry and cold, and the lamb meatballs, which were tender and well-seasoned--definitely a highlight that I would revisit. The beet salad did not appeal to my taste; it was somewhat bitter and detracted from the natural flavor of the beets. Regarding desserts, we noticed the menu was limited, with only two options discussed, and no non-alcoholic beverage menu was provided nor mentioned. The absence of a dessert menu was disappointing. Overall, the meal had its high points, particularly the cornmeal crusted catfish, lamb meatballs, and green goddess salad. However, the experience was marred by the noise level, slow service, and some underwhelming entrees. The atmosphere was cozy yet acoustically challenging, which hindered conversation. The 8-ounce Wagyu burger was another highlight--plush, flavorful, with thick-cut, double-smoked bacon, served with perfectly spicy and hot fries. The server's engagement was minimal, as she did not introduce herself or offer straws, which slightly affected the overall experience. In summary, while there were notable dishes and a pleasant atmosphere, the overall experience was somewhat disappointing given the price point, primarily due to service delays, noise, and some less-than-satisfactory dishes.

Bartender (Mel) was great; fast service and atmosphere was definitely more business casual, so dress appropriately. The drinks were strong and delicious; did not try any food, but will next time!

Great cocktails and delicious entrees at The Fitzroy! Enjoyed the rooftop patio that made for the perfect ambiance for a last evening in Savannah! Mackenna was a great server. Bubbly and made us feel at home. Will definitely return on a future trip!

Apparently they change the menu here pretty often. I ordered the grouper which was submerged in some sort of chowder. Not the best option. My coworker got shrimp which I tried and was decent. The drinks were good. Someone else in my party order a martini but kept saying it had a lemon taste. Not sure what they use. We sat on the rooftop and while nice, it did get chilly. We asked if they could turn on the lantern heater and they weren't able too, so it didn't make for a great night to sit on the rooftop. Also there were 7 people in the party and all the food came out separately and at very different times, which I didn't like. Overall decent.

I legit keep thinking about the amazing dinner I had at The Fitroy a couple of weeks ago. If I lived in Savannah I would be back ASAP. Was visiting town for a friend's bday, and with no specific plans we got lucky and scored a table on a Friday night. (Rec- def make a rez). The entire meal, experience, and staff was a 10/10. Specifically my grouper dish and side of grits rocked my world. The grouper was SO FRESH and flavorful and in a delicious chowder broth that enhanced but did not smother or overwhelm the fish. Hearty portion for the price. The side of grits topped with wild mushrooms were also insanely good- so glad I ordered it. The staff was super attentive without being annoying, and we loved the personalized recommendations as we explored the city. The complimentary birthday champagne was also a sweet final touch. Everyone in my party loved their food and loved our experience- will 100% return the next time I visit- it may have to be sooner than later lol

The food, drinks, service and ambiance were amazing! The artisanal cheeses and the Georgia shrimp are a must. There was a wide selection of cheeses, crackers, honey, mustard, etc. The shrimp were cooked perfectly -- tender, flavorful and clearly fresh. They were paired with a chickpea "roll," for lack of a better word, which was unique and a delicious complement to the dish. The bartender, Mel, gave us excellent recommendations on the food and drinks, was very friendly and gave us excellent service. I'll definitely be back!

I've been here three different times and my favorite thing to get is the burger. Service is good, sometimes it can be a hit or miss, but it's a really beautiful space. Last time we sat at the bar and had a great time - I love a good bar seat. One time we sat on the roof, and it was nice. Not much of a view, but it's decorated nicely. This is one of the off a Main Street spots downtown that don't always draw a huge tourist crowd, so I enjoy this place for that. Prices are comparable to other downtown spots. Pretty clean and lots of options for drinks.

This was a fancy and well run restaurant. The price was a little unjustified for the quality of the food we ordered. The service was great though! We ended up just sharing the surf and turf which was basically fries, steak frites, and shrimp. Also had a beer and one mojito. The total after tip and tax was over $100 which was unfortunate. I really enjoyed the dish but couldn't justify spending that kind of money to come back again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Fitzroy. The restaurant had a cool vibe to it and we were fortunate enough to be able to eat outside on the upstairs patio. Part of our excellent dining experience was the amazing service provided by Stevie, our fantastic waiter. Stevie was so knowledgeable and genuinely personable as he helped us make perfect decisions from the menu. We were all pleased with our meals, which included clams as an appetizer and a pork chop dinner, fried flounder dinner, and green goddess salad with shrimp. Kudos to the chef as we absolutely enjoyed the food. Stevie was kind enough to recommend Collins Quarter in Forsyth Park for brunch the next day. The same owner owns both these restaurants and Stevie worked at both of them. We trusted him and tried that restaurant the next day and had such a great dining experience. Alicia was our waitress there and she couldn't have been any nicer. Service with a smile would be an understatement to describe our experience with Alicia. We were just finishing up our meal when Stevie was coming on shift - he was kind enough to stop by our table to say hello. We feel like we have a new friend in Savannah. Stevie and Alicia, thank you so much for being such a memorable part of our trip to Savannah For those of you reading this review, definitely get out to both of these restaurants. You will love them!

From the people who brought you Collins Quarter, I daresay The Fitzroy is better done. Small simple menu. Starters like grilled sourdough, smoked eggplant dip, green goddess salad, clams, shrimp, meatballs. Mains include half chicken, gnocchi, grilled trout, flounder, pork chop, and steak frites. I had the Fitz burger, with aged cheddar, caramelized onions, garlic aioli, pickles, and fries. The burger was perfectly cooked, juicy. Cheese so gooey. Pickles gave a great bite to the flavor profile. Loved the steak fries. Meaty and crisp. Drinks were great. I had the cucumber blossom (gin, fresh cucumber, juice, simple lime, flowers), tequila corpse reviver (reposado tequila, lillet blanc, orange liqueur, lemon, spritz of absinthe), and the spritzroy to go (cocchi rosa apertivo, prosecco, sampan strawberry infusion, and sage). All of them tasted great. Can't wait to return and try some more (I have my eye on the melon-dramatic, made with gin, mandarino, watermelon big rock, lemon, and tajin). Ethan was my server and was super attentive and helpful. Everything was perfect. Made another reservation for next week. Wanna have that great burger again!

made a reservation to the fitzroy for my moms birthday on new year's day. it actually wasn't our first choice but alignment is always divine. i didn't even order an entree and thoroughly enjoyed everything. from the aesthetic to the food, such a wonderful experience. i had the lamb meatballs, sweet potato and brussel sprouts (which my mom loved). my mom ordered the chicken and it came served on top of cabbage with a really yummy sauce. my sister ordered the steak and she wasnt wowed. for it to be the most expensive item on the menu that was the only disappointment. my sister and mom enjoyed the devils punch and i had a glass of ginger beer. our server tali was also very pleasant and helpful. great experience and i'd def go back whenever im in savannah!

This is one of my most favorite date night restaurants in Savannah. Small and cozy, great cocktails and appetizers. And amazing service every single time. "Bees in a Trap" is hands down my most favorite cocktail. Pair that with the Roasted Oysters and the Georgia Shrimp. For the main course, we've tried the NY Strip, Gnocchi Parisienne, Wagyu Burger, and the Pan-Seared Scallops. All of them were absolutely delicious. Again, you cannot go wrong with this place.

To share amongst the table, we ordered the cinnamon toast banane and crispy gouda grit croquettes. Thumbs up on both, particularly the croquettes which were the right balance of gooey and structured enough to eat with the delicious sauce on the side. The cinnamon toast banane was not so much toast as cinnamon rolls with bananas foster; the cinnamon rolls were really tasty and the bananas foster was good, though the bourbon flavor was strong. For my entree, I ordered one of the lighter vegetarian dishes - the mushroom tartine with tomato soup. I think it is one of the lighter dishes - certainly lighter than what my dining companions ordered - but it was still quite rich with a fair amount of gouda fondue in the tomato bisque soup. The mushroom tartine/sandwich was really flavorful with the pesto, cheese and tons of mushrooms. The restaurant is quite large with an upstairs seating area.
