My wife & I wanted to celebrate our 41st anniversary and the hype around the Brazilian steakhouse was pretty big. Driving up I thought it looked small. When we walked in it was mostly tables but I liked the waterfall at the door. We had VIP reservations and were initially seated in the main room. I told the waitress we had never eaten there before and weren't sure what to expect. I mentioned having made VIP reservations and so she re-seated us in another section filled with tables. She asked if we would rather have just the buffet or the full experience. We wanted the full experience. We went to the bar... got a few items -- not wanting to fill up on side items. I wanted real steak! The Artichoke salad was interesting. I had never tried artichoke. Cool; but probably the last time I'll eat it. Same with the palm hearts salad. Spinach with feta cheese -- I love cheese. But... Where's the STEAK?! The server came out to enquire about what meats we liked. He brought a menu with our choices. A quick look at the menu and I told him Filet Mignon! Ribeye is a popular favorite, I know, but I never cared for it. I much prefer a leaner, loin cut. There was a sirloin-cap (picahne?) I tried it. Not a fan. Leg of lamb... edible. Short ribs... unchewable and greasy. Bacon wrapped chicken... meh. All fatty bacon and a small bit of chicken. I'm a Jack Spratt kind of guy! He kept bringing out what looked like scraps and we'd try it but where's the filet already? Finally he brings three little unrecognizable scraps of beef on a skewer. After he confirmed this was the filet we tried it. smh I am by no means a grill-master, but I watched a YouTube once, and made the wife and kids steak they were drooling over. Waiters with yard long skewers of well prepared meats of every (domestic) meat variety parade and stop before you. With exceptionally sharp blades they slice off your desired portion which you take, using your own tongs to place on your plate. Beef, chicken, sausages, and pork of all cuts and preparation comprise the show! Before you start there's a long appetizer table, and a dessert table to cap off your meal. Reservations are required. I'm genuinely so glad Pooler has a steakhouse like this because it truly feels like a hidden gem. There's finally no need to leave the area for a great steakhouse experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. The food was perfectly prepared, well seasoned, and everything came out fresh and flavorful. Even the side dishes stood out, which says a lot because sides are often overlooked. This spot is perfect for a date night, but it's also ideal for larger gatherings. Their back room comfortably accommodates groups of 15-20 people, which makes it great for celebrations, dinners, or special events. Do yourself a favor and support this place. Pooler needs restaurants like this, and I truly hope to see them thriving for years to come. read more

This is a beautifully decorated restaurant. I like the atmosphere. There is.a cold and hot bar. The cold bar has salads and the hot bar has 'banquet' type food, if you will. Not really buffet style. There was also sushi. I tried some asparagus, brazilian street corn, steak, curry chicken, and roasted duck. Then I got some sushi with the ginger and wasabi. While consuming that, waitresses came around with cuts of steak, lamb, chicken, and pork. There was also complimentary cheese bread. I enjoyed all the food. The only thing I did not enjoy was the lamb. Servers were friendly and they came around often with the different cuts of meat. The price of the 'experiences' was pretty affordable for a Brazilian style restaurant. Dinner for two for less than $100. The cherry on top was my wife's complimentary birthday cake. Recently heard about the opening of this Brazilian Steakhouse & Asian Fusion restaurant in Pooler and had to give it a try. The ambiance is great! Clean dining area and high end appearance. We came for lunch and there were two dining options available, cold and hot bar only for $31 or $41 per person for the full experience. The food selection for the bars were selective so we opted for the full experience. I would say that the overall experience did not meet my expectation. The offerings of meat were limited and food temperatures were not consistent. Service almost seemed rushed to ensure that food was being presented but it resulted in food being dropped, raw meats, and long waits. The serving staff were nice but not experienced. Ultimately - this place missed the mark. My hope that they can work out the kinks and it becomes a hot spot in the Pooler and Brazilian community. read more

Overall, I was excited to try this place Hot + Cold Bar - the staff seemed 100% focused on the bars. The bars "lack." A good example is they have a Caesar Salad, but do not have Caesar dressing. They have a ranch and a pink dressing (assume Russian). There are 16 items in the cold bar (including crackers), and 13 items on the hot bar. I feel they could go back and redo the bars. It should be either Brazilian or Asian, or a fusion, vs what it is now, which is mid. The meat. I would say A+ for the Churrasco. The menu lists 16 meats, and they had 13 available. They didn't come immediately, and then came about every 3-4 mins and just stopped. The flank, pineapple, and chicken sausage are A+. This place is a good idea, but it needs to be reconnected. I would suggest cutting it down to 1 bar for lunch at $29.99, and letting customers know only 6-8 meats are available. At dinner, do the full bar, and have the full 16 meats and pineapple for dinner. You also need to add plantains. It's a staple. And, serve Brazilian rice, not Spanish rice. Overall I would give this experience a 3.5/5. It's not Brazilian, it's not Asian fusion (there is nothing Asian about the menu), and generic Latin food isn't what draws your to a Brazilian BBQ. read more

I have visited Ember Lotus twice in the last 2 weeks for birthday celebrations. Overall, it was a good experience. The carving selection options are really good and flavorful. The attendees came around very often with various options. The cold/hot bar options are decent. The alcohol beverages were very good, but each time there were very long delays with the bar; on my initial visit it took almost an hour for a drink because someone at the bar had taken my drink or it was somehow misplaced. During my second visit I didn't notice until after I left that we never got the cheese biscuits, which I was really sad about because I really do enjoy those. I think it has potential, but unfortunately I noticed alot of younger employees and maybe they just need more structure and time to get things to be top tier. We did the full experience and we were able to sample many meats and take advantage of the hot and cold bar. As a note, they do not give 2 go cups, so I purchased a mocktail that I couldn't finish and had to leave it. The mocktails are $7/8 dollars. The full experience cost $52 dollars. We were excited to try a Brazilian barbecue style restaurant with an Asian twist but came away sorely disappointed with the quality of food. Service is outstanding and is very knowledgeable. But they just missed the mark on food when we had dinner here Father's Day evening. Starting with cold bar items, the HEARTS OF PALM SALAD tasted odd with the overpowering briny flavor of green olives. PEPPER TUNA and SALMON SASHIMI and COCKTAIL SHRIMP were decent options. Hot bar items included BRAZILIAN BLACK BEANS, CURRY CHICKEN, DUMPLINGS, LOTUS LEAF WRAPPED STICKY RICE. It had been in the chaffing dishes for a while and had all dried out. SHRIMP TOAST was flavorful but not anything to write home about. PAO DE QUEJO was brought out nice and hot. There was just not enough cheese in the batter, but I did appreciate how they were large and biscuit-sized. Now on to the main event, the meat! There was just not enough to go around. By the time the servers came around to our corner 2-top, we were getting the last portions pushed off the sword skewers. The standouts were the GARLIC SIRLOIN, FILET MIGNON, and BACON WRAPPED CHICKEN. LEG OF LAMB was too gristly - my floss had quite the battle that night. PICANHA was overcooked to death. GRILLED CINNAMON PINEAPPLE never made it to us despite it making rounds twice. It was really off putting how the servers would just announce what cut they had and then serve those tables that yelled back out to them in return. I feel like if you have the green light on your table, you should be approached every time. It was a struggle to get their attention but I understand on a busy night, it happens. I don't normally write reviews but this place deserves every good review it has gotten. The ambiance of the establishment is business casual, but you know your girl had to rock the cheetah print. The food was PHENOMENAL. I hate octopus with a burning passion but that octopus salad had me feelin real nice about octopus. The meat was consistent in how I asked for it to be cooked each time it came out. I highly recommend getting medium rare! Everything was perfect but what sealed the deal for my boyfriend and I was Corbin. He made us feel so comfortable and welcomed into the restaurant the moment we walked in. He's funny, very respectful, and full of personality. Having great customer service is the key to a successful business and he showed us exactly that. We will be coming back as often as we can. Honestly, this was probably the most disappointing Brazilian steakhouse experience I've had outside of Brazil. The restaurant itself is beautiful and well decorated. The hot and cold bar looks impressive, especially with the smoke effects from the ice, and the servers were all very kind and attentive. Nothing negative to say about the staff at all. That said, the food and concept felt very far from an authentic Brazilian rodízio experience. For a place that also claims Asian fusion, I didn't really notice anything that reminded me of Asian cuisine either. One example that stood out was the sausage that was supposed to be calabresa. Instead, it tasted like a regular smoked sausage you would buy at a local grocery store. Another big issue was the steak itself, it had almost no salt. One of the most basic characteristics of Brazilian churrasco is well-seasoned meat with rock salt, and that flavor was just missing. Also, in a real rodízio, the gauchos keep bringing different cuts of meat non-stop until you almost get overwhelmed. That constant flow never really happened here, so the experience felt slow and limited. Again, nothing against the employees, they were friendly and doing their best but overall the experience felt very far from being an authentic Brazilian steakhouse. For anyone familiar with real churrasco, this one may fall short of expectations. read more

The moment I walked in, there was a terrible odor throughout the restaurant. The salad/cold bar looked unappetizing, and several of the items I tasted seemed spoiled or simply tasted bad. I became so concerned about my children eating the food that I decided it wasn't worth the risk. The meat didn't look fresh or appetizing either, and I didn't even bother trying it before leaving. We ended up walking out because the overall cleanliness, smell, and food quality were extremely disappointing. The Pão de queijo wasn't even Pão de queijo. I had a chance to check out Ember Lotus, and I've got to say, this was a really cool experience overall. They were doing a Chinese barbecue / Asian fusion style setup, and it honestly gave me a bit of that gaucho vibe where they bring different meats right out to your table. That alone made it feel like more than just a typical dinner--it was an experience. I tried pretty much all the meats they had available that day, and I can honestly say there wasn't a single one that missed. Everything was solid across the board. The chicken sausage stood out--really flavorful--and the chicken parm wrapped in bacon was one of those things you don't expect but ends up working really well. And then dessert... I don't usually go for cheesecake, but the blueberry cheesecake was recommended by our waitress, and I'm glad I listened. That was a great call--really, really good. Speaking of service, our waitress was awesome. Super friendly, attentive, and just made the whole experience better. That kind of service goes a long way. I went there for the first time. The ambiance is pretty, the food delicious, specially the variety of meat, and the staff were pretty friendly. Shout out to Bao, that prepared a great sangria and was always anticipating my needs, replacing my plates, cleaning the table . Michael was bringing the delicious meats and was very friendly and warm. I felt very welcomed there. The restaurant is a fusion of Brazilian and Asian food, which I found to be a great idea. OMG, we definitely needed a Brazilian steakhouse in this area, and the Asian Fusion really makes this work. The service was on pointe with meats coming out at regular intervals. The place was packed when we went just prior to 8pm but we were still able to hold conversation. The wait staff were attentive making sure drinks were filled and lights on table worked. The decor was perfect as well creating a warm welcoming ambiance. The price of our meal was reasonable for all that we got. It was a great date night! I have visited the Ember Lotus in Pooler on multiple occasions and have always been more than satisfied. Each individual employee I would interact with was polite, knowledgeable, and appeared to be genuinely interested in customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, on Friday, July 31, 2026, my visit was disappointing. I arrived around 3:45pm or so and way before Friday night crowds that typically fill up a restaurant. Upon arrival, a female employee, possibly a manager, seated me in a dining room to myself and away from the general dining area. I paused a few minutes and then went to the hostess stand and asked why I was seated in this separate dining room and she replied that we seat customers there during the evening hours and that my server would be over shortly to take my order. The lady then followed me back to my table and made the comment that I could be seated in the main dining room and my impression was that she was offering to change dining areas grudgingly. I declined her offer to move to another table and elected to have my meal away from the main dining room. My experience was positive in receiving the same quality service and meal as I have in the past yet where I was seated I was across from various employees that basically was the "overflow" from where they would gather and stand near the hostess station. My point of view while dining was a large separate dining room away from the main dining room and where I had to look at gathered employees and overhear their conversations which was a distraction and somewhat dampered my dining experience. As previously mentioned, I have dined at this restaurant on multiple occasions, to include arriving around the same time as I did for this visit, and I was never seated in a separate dining room. I take into consideration that perhaps the restaurant wanted to keep seating available for large crowds and Friday evening patrons yet I was in and out of the restaurant within an hour or so at the most. When I left the restaurant there were numerous seats available in the main dining room which would have been originally nice to be seated in. My experience was not terrible yet definitely disappointing. I imagine it will be a long time, if ever, before I return to this restaurant. read more

Staff was so friendly and welcoming. Lee our server was so attentive. He heard our daughter graduated and he brought her a desert with hand piped message in chocolate.
