    Meatball

We've been looking forward to trying Rosso ever since hearing about it, and as someone who is always searching for great Italian food, it quickly became a must-visit. I grew up with a Sicilian grandmother, and from the moment we sat down, Rosso reminded me of the Sunday dinners I enjoyed growing up. The interior is dimly lit, warm, and inviting. There's also a patio, but we chose to sit inside and soak in the atmosphere. After being seated, nobody came to our table for about ten minutes. As it turned out, the very kind and engaging owner ended up serving us himself for the entire evening. We loved hearing the inspiration behind the restaurant and stories about his mother and grandmother. The conversation immediately made us feel right at home. We started with the Mozzarella Stick, which is absolutely massive and served over their signature red sauce. That sauce is the star of the show, comforting, nostalgic, and packed with flavor. The owner shared that he sources many of his ingredients locally, including the tomatoes, and it truly shows. Next came the meatball, which has just enough sausage mixed in to make it incredibly tender and flavorful. Honestly, I could make an entire meal out of a bowl of these meatballs. Once again, that outstanding red sauce stole the spotlight. The only thing I wished for was some Italian bread to help soak up every last drop. For our entrée, we ordered the Chicken Alla Vodka. After falling in love with the red sauce, I didn't think things could get much better, but the vodka sauce was outstanding. The cold burrata slowly melts into the sauce as you eat, adding an extra layer of richness and creaminess. The dish comes with two large, perfectly cooked chicken cutlets and a side of homemade pasta. The portions here are huge and very fairly priced. When you eat like a true Italian family, meals are meant to be shared, enjoyed, and lingered over, and Rosso embraces that philosophy. The entire restaurant feels family-oriented, and I really appreciate that. The owner made us feel even more like family when he surprised us with a slice of olive oil cake topped with fresh cream. We were already stuffed from the feast, but one look at that cake and we gladly made room. It was the perfect ending to an exceptional meal. I can't recommend Rosso highly enough. Their early success is well deserved, and I hope it continues for many years to come. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the owner's hospitality is something special. We can't wait to return.

The place was pretty much bomb. No complaints, no crazy frills just good old-fashioned Italian food. Everything we got was great. Came with a small group, we got the giant mozzarella stick, the clam bake, the meatball as appetizers. Chicken Parm, manicotti, and black spaghetti with lobster and a salad for dinner. And you know we had to try the tiramisu and olive oil cake. Service was solid, timing was really good from the kitchen. The atmosphere is great nothing but good things to say. It's not gonna blow you away, but it's exactly what you want when you want grandma's Italian. Definitely go to bar Pilar in the back and get yourself a fantastic cocktail while you wait for your table

What a fantastic way to celebrate Father's Day! Everything was amazing. Service was excellent as well! We need a location OTP.

I was contacted by Scott, the GM at Rosso, after our last visit. He apologized for the experience we had and invited us to come back and give it another shot, promising to personally handle everything. We did so tonight, and it was an all around fantastic experience. The calamari was some of the best I've had. Fresh, crispy, and not at all greasy. I enjoyed my negroni very much, and we all enjoyed our entrees, and especially the house made pastas. Service was attentive and the staff worked together to make sure that food and drinks were delivered quickly. I am really glad we have them another chance to provide the experience we were expecting the first time around. We will be back. I was not asked to update my review or to delete the previous one. I respect that most of all.

I put in the notes of my reservation that it was my birthday and everyone stopped by my table and greeted me with a warm happy birthday. That was a really nice touch. My waitress offered me a free glass of champagne for my birthday and I definitely wasn't gonna turn that down. I got the veal meatballs as my appetizer. I love that they were weren't heavy and dense. They were very light and delicious. I also chose the chopped salad, but I wanted it to come out with my entrée. The chopped salad was good. Had pepper notes to it. The only thing I would do next time is ask for it not to be green peas in it. Just because I'm not a fan. For my entrée I got the cannelloni. The lamb shoulder inside was so tender. It was very cheesy and delicious. It also had green peas in it, which I didn't pay attention to on the menu. I would also ask for there not to be green peas in the kennel only again that's just my taste. But that did not stop me from eating it all. I also had the blood orange margarita which was really good. This was my first time at this restaurant, but it definitely will not be the last. I loved the vibe of the restaurant.

We show up and I think we are in the wrong place. Valet directs us to the elevator and down we go. When we get out, it's like we went back 30 years to a restaurant in an Italian section of New York. It's amazing. Place looked like we time warped in all the best ways. It looked like it was straight outta a Sopranos episode. Staff is dressed to the nines. Customers too. Loved it. And the food, forgetta bout it. We went with our kiddos and had half the menu. All of us trying each others food. All of it amazing. With that, we made a point to act like it was 80-90s era and didn't use our phones, so no pics. But if you want another way to know how amazing the food is, try and get a reservation last minute on a weekend. Better luck winning the lottery. That said, make the reservation pronto and enjoy.

Valet is complimentary which is great and they provide directions for how to get in to the restaurant. The hostess was super nice and our table just needed a few minutes to get cleaned off. Once seated, we settled on a good bottle of Malbec to drink which was delicious. For an appetizer, we got the mussels which were probably some of the best mussels I have ever had using the bread to soak up the sauce was divine. Truly delicious. For the pasta, I got the the tortelli de vitello which was so good. Some of us at the table also tried the shrimp linguine which was delicious and so fresh as well as the chicken parm which was MASSIVE and came with a great side of pasta. We also tried the little pasta shells/ears with sausage and broccolini and it was delish. Truly these dishes were stunning and cannot wait to have it again! To wrap up the dinner, we got some coffees and the tiramisu... Which was delicious and as stunning as everyone says. Overall, this meal was divine. The vibes of the restaurant really bring it up because it is so calm and classic and just such a great place for a lovely meal. 10/10

However the server we had tonight was one of the worst experiences I've had especially for a place that is trying to sell an upscale dining environment he greeted the table by saying (after we asked how he was doing) "I'm doing f-ing horrible I'm tired and feel like sh*t we had such a busy night last night" he was not very knowledgeable about menu or drinks and his overall appearance gave very much unhygienic he also forgot to put in our food order so we waited double the time and said that since we already had appetizers and the other table did not have any food that we could wait to order food, also just assumed how someone in my group wanted there steak cooked so had to wait for that to be redone, he was all over the place and did not check in on us very often we needed things like refills or salt pepper etc. and went without because bad service I don't think he should have been working he obviously did not want to be there he also failed to mention that the kitchen was closing so we did not get to try the desserts. There were a couple of other things but don't want a 5 page review I cannot remember his name but a taller white guy with a messy bun and tired eyes. We still left a tip because that's what you do when you go out but if he treated his other tables like he did us I wouldn't be surprised if we were the only ones that tipped. I suggest not going on a busy night to get good service I guess. My group was 4 ppl 2 couples trying to enjoy a nice double date without the craziness of v-day next time we will celebrate days before. Will for sure be going back and hope you give them a try but if that's how the waiter greets himself please go ahead and ask for a different server!!!!
