We met the owner this evening. What a lovely man. He served us himself. The TVs are installed and, Monday, a new era of sports television will begin on the walls of this esteemed establishment. We had pizza and traditional hot buffalo sauce wings. It was all good, hot, and made to order. We had a medium pizza made half with olives, artichoke, & sun-dried tomatoes. (I know! Didn't those go out of style 15 years ago?). The sun-dried tomatoes were a nostalgic touch. The other half had mushrooms, pepperoni, & sausage. Going big vs doing well are different ideas that I think restaurants need to understand, especially if you're going to be in Buckhead where the food scene is fast and unless you've established yourself, it's not going to last long. Considering Piu Bello seems to have just opened, but that they're not too shabby in terms of food, I'm pretty sure they'll be here a while. It's a small joint that seats about 70 easy. Tucked away near in the plaza by the Publix and the Starbucks. Piu Bello has pretty good service. It's a sit down restaurant and the server is prompt, courteous, extremely personable, yet professional. So I'm there for a birthday lunch and I've not had many great Italian restaurant experiences in Atlanta so to come here as a first timer is gutsy because Italian can be hit or miss depending on how passionate the chef and the owners are (Watch kitchen nightmares if you want to see how owners who lose passion for food tank their business). The food here looks great! The pizza was definitely NY style as it was greasy, cheesy, and looked flavorful. The baked ziti looks cheesy, savory, and filling. The pasta e figoli soup looked thick, rich, and pure home comfort of the Italian countryside. The fried calamari wasn't overly cooked as the mollusk pieces still had that rubbery texture that was accentuated by the fried batter which also had flavor between the two. But what I had was known as the Chicken Arabiato. A tomato creme sauce infused with garlic and spicy cherry peppers. The spice adds just the right amount of kick that threads a very pleasant touch through the tangy of the tomato creme as the savory sweetness of the garlic just lightly rests on top providing a smooth spicy savory goodness. The chicken was a bit dry as it was stringy and tough to chew but for the record, not too shabby. And their fettuccini was cooked al dente. All in all, not a bad experience to say the least and definitely recommend this place for a cozy date night or gathering with friends. read more

Delicious New York style Italian eatery in Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia. The Owner and staff were very nice. Seating was plenty and the place was fairly clean. Restrooms were fine, tables wiped down, etc. Theres plenty of items to choose from, from pizza to calzones to pastas. My wife ordered her favorite, linguini and clams. I ordered my favorite, the tortellini alla panna. We came here because it was close, was one of if not the only place nearby serving this option, and had good ratings for being quick to serve. Piu Bello hit all the good notes. My tortellini was fantastic and reminded me of the creamy ristorante style, almost like a cabonara but not and with alfredo sauce. It was so good, exactly what I wanted for that moment. My wife's linguini and clams disappeared quick so safe to say she liked it. The homemade focacia bread that comes with your food is delicious and smells awesome too. I was so full from my plate I did not finish the bread, which is uncommon because I usually fill up with bread first at Italian restaurants - a good sign. When I come back to Atlanta I would absolutely eat here again and plan on it. My understanding is that the restaurant is so new that our hotel needed guidance on how to take us there. We ordered a salad and 3 pastas to share - Fettuccini Alfredo - Eggplant Parmagiano - Carbonara without the meat They provided suggestions for our group! The potions were large. We were given extra bowls, tongs, and plates for our large group. Our meal with 1 large pizza, 2 orders or garlic knots, 1 large salad, and 3 pastas was $140 including tip. Service was great! It' s been a little while since I have been here, they have gotten so much better. They weren't even bad before but now they are top notch. The food itself is incredible. I remember it being greasy low end Italian and now it rivals many sit down places even though this is an order at the counter type of place. The salads we got were incredibly fresh. The Romine was crispy and bright. It was well made and had a wonderfully rich and creamy dressing. The sandwich itself had a crunch bread but was easy to eat. We also got a few small dishes and it all was just great.  We were also impressed by the people working. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. Even though it was order at the counter they kept coming by to see if I needed anything. When we were done, they cleared our table for us. I was craving ooey cheesy Italian goodness and this place delivered! If you're wanting a Brooklyn Italian place, then this is the place to go. Affordable prices in the buckhead area with great eats. Also unassuming so can show up in your street clothes and still have a great time. Tortellini alla Panna- a good cheesy tortellini dish. If you're wanting just pure cheese and carbs then this is the equivalent of some cheesy white sauce mac and cheese goodness. Tagliatelle alla Romana- Fettuccine with chicken, prosciutto, and portobello mushrooms in a rose sauce. The rose sauce is what makes this dish stand out as the rose sauce creates that bright tang that keeps things balanced. Eggplant Roletini- stuffed with ricotta cheese and spinach in tomato sauce topped with mozzarella This was a clear winner out of all the dishes we ordered. The eggplant breading was incredible and the side of tomatoey marinara pasta contrasted nicely with what would have been a heavier eggplant dish. 2 large stacks of eggplant with that crucial amount of ricotta and spinach was excellence. So, I tried pizza from here thinking it was artisan enough to meet my NY standards. The pizza was terrible. Not crisp, soggy in the middle like most of the crap you find in Atlanta. Small and unassuming I had to seek out Piu Bello in the strip mall it sits within, but happy i am happy I did. It offers both counter and table service but definitely feels like more of a counter/quick service place than a sit down restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful and my food was served very quickly. I had the chicken Parmesan with Alfredo sauce and it was delicious. The portion of chicken was so big I had to take half of it back to my hotel, and the Alfredo was creamy and had a very good flavor. So I stopped inside the strip mall that had pizza by the slice. It was actually a pretty good establishment. I have the garlic knots, which were great. They came out super hot and filled to the brim with all the garlic goodness. I also had a slice of the meat lovers and then the slice of the barbecue chicken pizza. Overall they were good. Maybe we're left in there a little bit too long, but I'm sure that was just by accident. Because the crust got a little harder than it needed to be in some parts. But the flavor was good. The barbecue sauce was good on the barbecue chicken pizza. I loved it. There wasn't as much sauce on the meat lovers, but I think that the meat man made up for it. The pizza slices were very big, two of them were more than enough. Everybody at the restaurant was friendly. When I wasn't sure what pizza I was looking at, they had no issue with coming over to point out the specific types. I would go back for sure! read more

We have been eating here for years and I can't believe I never wrote a review! We love it and stop in for quick slices on the weekend while out for lunch. We are there two times a month minimum. I get two slices of Meat Lovers and my wife gets one slice of plain cheese. We also like the Garlic Knots (a lot). We have seen people in there eating complete meals and the food looks really good. Can't believe it took us this long to come here. Just what we were looking for. A simple, classic, Italian spot. Nothing too bad, but nothing mindblowing either. Based on other reviews, this place seems very well liked, but my review is based on the quality of the food and I just wasn't a huge fan to be honest. The margarita pizza did not taste like much of a margarita pizza because it was basically cheese on pizza dough with a couple tomatoes on it. It didn't taste like a traditional margarita pizza with the tomato sauce and fresh modérela and basil like I had hoped (but totally my fault for not checking what the margarita pizza looked like on Yelp reviews). The wings were also pretty average. We were still hungry after the 12" pizza, so the wings did the job but other than that, they weren't the best wings. In terms of environment, there was plenty of parking outside so that wasn't something to worry about thankfully. The restaurant was really nice and casual. Plenty of dine in space and looked clean too. The staff did not seem too organized as they seemed to have gotten someone's online order mixed up, but they seemed to know some regular customers which speaks for their service. We ordered online and came to pick up in 25 mins and decided to just dine in once we got there, but they had the food ready by the time we got there so that was great. I'm not sure if we just ordered the wrong things, but I don't think I'll be trying this place again, not because there was anything wrong in particular, but it just wasn't my taste. read more

I go here all the time because it's walking distance from where I work and the staff is so nice and welcoming. The food is pretty good, especially their bbq chicken pizza, and they've always got good music playing and it's never dirty. Only thing I don't love is their prices but that's what I get for living in buckhead. So, I was pleasantly surprised when Piu Bello showed up to my front door with piping HOT pizza and pasta. The pizza was flavorful, even the ctust. Unfortunately, everything else Iwas just so-so. The spaghetti bolagnase nreded some work. It lacked flavor and was too dry for a pasta dish. I expected a reasonable balance between sauce and noodles, and this unfortunately was not. The pasta was also very sticky. I also ordered a slice of cheesecake and it was not worth the price. They sent The tiniest slice they could get away with selling. Als soon as I bit into it I tasted plastic. It was like the cake absorbed the smell and chemicals of the plastic wrap or box they store it in. It was so gross. I definitely will not be getting any dessert from this place. All in all, this is not authentic Italian, just a place for quick food. The pizza is the only thing I'll be ordering and I only plan to get delivery when I'm craving. read more

Piu Bello is a cozy little pizzeria at Buckhead Landing Shopping Center. The NY Style Pizza is great especially when you order a whole pizza and it comes fresh out the oven. Their calzones are also made fresh and the dough and toppings are amazing! They even have Jamaican Beef Patties made fresh and you can add toppings to them.
