Excellent pasta - great service - nice atmosphere. This has quickly become a go to Italian restaurant for me!!! I have a pretty particular pallet when it comes to Italian cuisine. This restaurant hit the spot. I tried the other entrees at the table and loved each one. (A great reason to go back and try more!) The waitress was very friendly and professional. She didn't overwhelm us with her presence, but seemed to be able to take care of all of our table's wishes. Perfect!! If you are expecting a huge plate of crappy pasta, go to Olive Garden. This entree is a good size and delicious. Quality not quality says everything to me. I am sure you will agree after you try this restaurant

Fridays are for comfort food! Baraonda brought all the vibes and gave me just what I needed. From the playlist to the amazing service, everything was top tier! Found this place on Google Maps while searching for Italian food in Sandy Springs. Parking was limited in the Bank of America parking lot, but they do have valet. I went to dinner with my 2yo and the host was kind enough to find her a chair that she wouldn't fall out of for at 2 seater table. Another staff member even brought something out for her to sit on top of so she could reach the table. The decor is grown and sexy! Definitely a great date night option or even solo dining at the bar! I had 2 great cocktails - Alpino and spiced pear martini - both very delicious! My daughter is picky and only eats buttered pasta. They ran out of penne pasta and she ended up with pappardelle. The fritto was great! Well seasoned and the marinara sauce was delicious too. My 2yo ate it without knowing what it was and loved it. For the main course I ordered the paglia pasta with salmon added. Everything was perfection! My waitress Naveah was so kind and attentive. We can't wait to try their lunch menu next time.

Second visit. First time in the dining room was underwhelming. Food was average and cafeteriash dining room atmosphere... super bright with lunchroom chairs. Average snobby server. Carbonara with very small portion and below average guanciale Definitely not a do over. The rest of the family was also underwhelmed. We went back tonight and sat at the bar. Very different atmosphere. Ruby our bartender was amazing. Super Tuscan was a good choice. Bread service was average. Caesar was good but not amazing-- we are super choosy Caesar eaters. The salmon was good. A B said my husband. But also super picky salmon eaters. The mushroom crostini was awesome. Loved the bar atmosphere... much better than restaurant. Would do the bar again. Not the restaurant.

The food was amazing - got the calamari, arancini and pappardelle lamb ragu with an aperol spritz. Ended the night with an espresso martini and affogato.... UNREAL! The service was great, our server was knowledgeable and gave get recs. We closed the place down, will def be back!

We came for Valentines Day. My husband made reservations, not sure the details but we arrived a few moments before 6p. Our table wasn't quite ready so we waited for maybe 10 minutes. We were seated and our waiter came over to ask about water. We chose the Eggplant Balls for our appetizer, they came out quickly but were room temperature. They tasted, just ok. Nothing special. We ordered our main entrees: Pork chop Parmesan with arugula salad and potato fries also the Salmon on a bed of I'm not sure.. I'm just gonna say maybe it was an OFF night bc the food was terrible and the pork chops tasted like fried rubber, no flair or flavor. We are both on a 'no alcohol month' so we decided to try the Mule Mocktail, it was absolutely delicious. Very refreshing and tasty. Then we ordered dessert bc you can't mess that up, right?!? WRONG! We got the Blueberry Cheesecake and the Flourless Chocolate Cake & Ice cream, the cheesecake tasted like it came straight out of the freezer and cardboard box and the chocolate cake.. let's just say the ice cream didn't melt easily, which was another story. Either way, the night was still good. The customer service was amazing and the building was beautiful, with the decor and lighting, it made for a romantic and intimate setting. Just the food wasn't great. Probably would return, just to have drinks tho.

Baraonda last night? A whole vibe. I'm still thinking about that Orange Blossom Martini light, floral, just the right amount of citrusy flirt. It hit like golden hour in a glass. Then came the ravioli... and listen, it wasn't just dinner it was a soft, buttery love letter. Rich, delicate, and somehow grounding. Like it knew I needed comfort but still wanted to feel a little fancy. The whole night felt intentional. Cozy but elevated. Sexy but not trying too hard. I left full, happy, and already plotting my return.

We checked out this Italian restaurant for a Thursday date night after seeing their instagram post on "Pastatini" Thursday deal -- $25 for a martini AND pasta dish (select menu). Our waiter recommended their fritto calamari dish as "the best calamari" he had ever had. My partner and I both enjoyed this -- lightly breaded and crispy, flavorful, and with shrimp, tiny octopi and calamari rings, and with dehydrated preserved lemons also lightly fried! Very tasty, mixed opinion on whether it was the best one we'd ever had -- I'd go with YES. We both chose an extra dirty martini from the list of curated cocktails for the Thursday deal, made with Tito's vodka (option for gin) and perfectly filthy with an icy top and two yummy olives -- so good. For the entrees, my partner got the spicy Linguine arrabiatta with shrimp (not spicy, had a good tomato savory flavor with shrimp that were well cooked) and I got the Gigli vodka (vodka cream sauce, broccolini, toasted bread crumbs) -- sadly a bit bland but was creamy and a comfort food, made better with salt + red pepper flakes. I'd probably try a different dish next time. We tried two additional cocktails -- their pistachio martini (I didn't get the pistachio flavor, would have liked it to be a bit more flavorful) and a new cocktail on their list with Lambrusco, chocolate liquor, raspberry and pineapple flavors -- so unique, flavorful, and with a nice bite from the sparkling wine. We finished off our dinner with their lemon blueberry cheesecake, which was yummy, light, appropriately small portion, with a nice blueberry sauce on the side. While the entrees we got were so-so, we really enjoyed our cocktails, the appetizer and the dessert so I'd love to go back for a girls night! Parking -- garage close by that the restaurant validates when you enter, with QR codes ready to register!

Delicious! Celebrated a birthday and anniversary with my godparents who had been to the previous location multiple times. This spot was perfect. If you want to focus on conversation ask for a table by the wall. Service was excellent and food tasted delicious!

This was a great find. I had a little neck clam and linguini pasta dish and it was very flavorful. I sat at the bar and the bartender was great. It's the only dish I had, but I'll definitely return. The inside of the restaurant was nicely decorated and had a great vibe.

We enjoyed the vibe. Excellent service in the bar area. Dinner was very good, I had the penne and salmon which was a special last night. My daughter had another pasta dish that was very good. Dessert was eh. All in all, recommended.

She also clued us into the fact that you can get all of their entree pastas in appetizer size! This means we were able to try more pastas as well as enjoy an app and dessert. We ordered a bottle of Nero D'Avola, which was smooth and delicious. We got the meatballs as our appetizer, which were super tender and full of flavor. We split the rigatoni alla vodka, fettucine ai funghi, and tagliatelle bolognese. All were perfection. I loved the creaminess of the alla vodka, which had a kick of spice from the chili oil. I loved the herbiness and freshness of both the ai funghi with its sage and the bolognese with its rosemary. The tiramisu was the only dish that was just ok. I would much rather have espresso drenched ladyfingers than coffee liquor. But it was still good so I cannot complain. The waitress also surprised us with prosecco with a lemon rind twist to celebrate the fact that we had just closed on our first ever home. All in all - it was a perfect evening.

We did arrive here a bit early for our reservation but were seated right next to the open kitchen, so it felt quite crowded and cramped. It's a very, very small restaurant and it was freezing where we sat because we were under the vents. Our server, Mary Catherine, was a treat and she took good care of us. She took our drink orders, though I didn't drink tonight. For appetizers, we started with the calamari and stuffed clams. They also offered complementary bread and olive oil basket that was served warm, yum! Our food orders came out pretty fast actually. The calamari was not your typical fried calamari - it was delicious and loved the mix of raw onions in it for that fresh bite. I'm not a fan of clams so I didn't try this, but heard it was just breading and can't really taste the clam taste. For my entree, I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro with meatballs. I had been dreaming about this since making the reservations and it did not disappoint. The pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce was wonderful. I did think the meatballs were a tad too salty for my taste and I'm glad I opted out of the freshly grated parm because I feel like that would have made everything saltier. After our meal, they brought out free dessert for the birthday celebrants. Nothing but raves were said after our dinner here and we're definitely looking forward to coming back here again.

We were seated in the back which is still festive but brighter and less cozy. Like many mentioned, the waitstaff wasn't interested in making the experience memorable and wanted you in and out as fast as possible. The portion size of their $18 olive and pesto appetizer was appalling. Six olives (yes, six!), four slivers of cheese, three artichoke hearts, and a ramekin of delicious pesto. This feels like a tourist trap in a quaint neighborhood. We both got pasta entrees and they were good, but expensive considering no meat was included. The drinks were festive and actually felt like a good pour considering how expensive they are. 2 stars for that. We ended with the crème brûlée which was somehow over cooked and not creamy. I'm sure the owner will be aggressive about this honest review. To be fair, my sister loved the experience but she's hardly traveled and is delighted by mediocre things sometimes. I really wanted to love this place because we just moved to the area and I wanted to have this be our new cozy date night place. It won't be. Free small parking lot in front. Free extra parking across the street. The total was about $150 for 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 drinks, and a dessert. Pros The quiet, intimate, and classy atmosphere was exactly what I needed for my family. When we first arrived, our table was not ready and we had to wait outside. However we were given continuous updates on when the table would be ready, they apologized, and they were very understanding. Considering we were a large party in an intimate space, we understood and only waited about 20 minutes before the table was ready. You could tell the food was fresh, the orders came fast, and the service was amazing. The fresh in house pasta took everything to the next level. It was the perfect night out. Cons The establishment is intimate so I do not think it would ideal for extra large parties. I randomly decided that I wanted Italian so we decided to check them out for the first time. Mezza Luna is located in a very small plaza with a tight parking lot. I'm so glad that I read the reviews in advance about parking, but I still wasn't prepared for what we saw. Surprisingly, there were 2 or 3 open spots when we visited around 7pm. We had reservations and were quickly seated after being greeted. The restaurant itself was quite intimate, offering only a few tables that were laid out in a manner that had us all quite close. But it worked! Since we had our son with us, they already had a high chair ready for us but he slept through the entire dinner, which also shows how peaceful it actually was in there. I started with a glass of chianti and it paired perfectly with the complimentary starter bread. That focaccia was so fresh! The crust had a great crunch but it was still soft and fluffy inside. We went with the meatball appetizer special which included 4-5 meatballs covered in marinara, fresh tomatoes and burrata. They were delicious, although the tomatoes being cold was a bit of a surprise. For dinner, I went for the chicken piccata and my partner opted for the chicken marsala. Both were great and packed with flavor. Such an unassuming place with tons of flavor waiting inside - perfect for date night or just a nice Italian dinner!

However the server we had tonight was one of the worst experiences I've had especially for a place that is trying to sell an upscale dining environment he greeted the table by saying (after we asked how he was doing) "I'm doing f-ing horrible I'm tired and feel like sh*t we had such a busy night last night" he was not very knowledgeable about menu or drinks and his overall appearance gave very much unhygienic he also forgot to put in our food order so we waited double the time and said that since we already had appetizers and the other table did not have any food that we could wait to order food, also just assumed how someone in my group wanted there steak cooked so had to wait for that to be redone, he was all over the place and did not check in on us very often we needed things like refills or salt pepper etc. and went without because bad service I don't think he should have been working he obviously did not want to be there he also failed to mention that the kitchen was closing so we did not get to try the desserts. There were a couple of other things but don't want a 5 page review I cannot remember his name but a taller white guy with a messy bun and tired eyes. We still left a tip because that's what you do when you go out but if he treated his other tables like he did us I wouldn't be surprised if we were the only ones that tipped. I suggest not going on a busy night to get good service I guess.
