Ashley O.

I'm quite surprised at how slightly disappointing this experience at North Italia was because I really enjoyed it the first and only time I've been here though it was in a different city. However, this Buckhead location left a lot to be desired. I will say the service was great. I had a bartender TJ, who was really nice and hospitable and seemed to genuinely care about my experience so I appreciated that. I ordered a glass of wine and it was good. For food, I asked for recommendations and was told that the Bolognese is really good. It also shows on the menu that the Bolognese is basically their best item or one of the best items. So I went ahead and ordered that and it came out relatively fast. However, on first looking at it, I could already tell that it was not going to be good. The sauce wasn't even fully covering all of the pasta... like there were a lot of noodles that barely had any sauce on them and it just didn't look very flavorful. TJ immediately could tell that I didn't look pleased and I told him that, but I also said let me actually try it before I truly judge it. Unfortunately it was exactly how it looked... it was not flavorful. It was not saucy. It was just not good. I'm usually not somebody that sends back my food, but I was asked about how I enjoyed it and I was honest and said I didn't like it and I was able to get a new dish which I appreciated. I wanted to get the spicy rigatoni vodka because that's what I got the last time that I came to North Italia, which was absolutely delicious, but they didn't have any more for the night so I ended up getting the lasagna. Unfortunately I was told the lasagna would take 20 to 30 minutes, which made me wonder if I could wait that long, but there was really nothing else on the menu that I wanted so I decided to order it. It came out and it's a portion that I would say is on the smaller side. I feel like they purposely put it in a bowl, so you kind of can't tell how little it is, but it was definitely not a very large portion at all. It was very cheesy and I definitely enjoyed it. It wasn't amazing though, but I did enjoy it. TJ was really concerned about me enjoying my meal so he was checking on me to see if I enjoyed my lasagna / dining experience and I told him that it was really good and he was pleased with that so overall, I ended up enjoying the second item I ordered. However, the fact that the first item that came out was not good at all, something I wanted to get was not even available anymore, and then the third item ended up being a pretty small portion wise just kind of made this overall dining experience not the best. I will say, though that the ambience is really nice in North Italia. It's upscale but has a relaxed vibe to it so that part of it was enjoyable as well. I would actually come back here though because I do want to have the spicy rigatoni vodka again so hopefully the next time I come, they will actually have it.

Today we had a family outing and decided to treat ourselves at Lenox Mall. We came to have dinner at North Italia, and we had a delightful time--enjoying drinks and a truly delicious meal! I highly recommend it if you're looking to enjoy a relaxing day with good food and drinks. We'll definitely be back!

Everything was amazing as usual. I decided to try a couple of things I've never tried. The Sicilian Margarita was an absolute 10/10!!!! I usually get the espresso martini but this was bright and refreshing! I also tried the vodka chicken pesto garlic knot sliders on the happy hour menu. They were just ok, not my favorite! If you've never been I'd try the spicy rigatoni or the chicken parm. They're EXCELLENT!! The service was top notch as usual.

Good Italian spot for lunch or dinner. We've been to the one in Dunwoody when they first opened but this was our first time checking out the Lenox one. We came during lunch on a week day and the service was fast. I got the Chicken Pesto sliders with Parmesan fries & my husband got the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka pasta. The fries could have had more flavor & my husband's pasta was on the tougher side. We also tried the Hazelnut Torta dessert. This tasted more like dark chocolate cake than hazelnut but eating it with the gelato helped made it taste better. We were expecting lunch prices since we came during lunch hour but having enough for leftovers made up for that.

We came here on a Thursday around 11:30am for the lunch menu for Buckhead Restaurant Week. When we entered the hostess was polite and provided all the menus and one specifically for restaurant week. The experience starting off was great. The server was attentive but not very knowledgeable about how restaurant week worked. Our appetizers arrived fairly quickly. We started with the cacio e pepe arancini which was excellent. So cheesy and gooey and delicious. The pesto aioli side condiment was really good too. The Sicilian meatballs were good and soft. The marinara the meatballs came in was great as well. The flavors were excellent. It took a while for our main entrees to arrive. Maybe 20-25 minutes or more and because this was lunch we were both hoping we could get back to the office in time by 1pm. After the server came by the table to refill our water, she asked if everything was fine as if she didn't understand that our entrees should have been in front of us at that point. After we brought that to her attention she went to the kitchen to check and behold our food was ready. The spicy rigatoni vodka pasta was delicious. It's oily so be careful if you're wearing light colored clothing. It's not spicy at all so for those people that don't like spice, there's barely any at all. The hot Italian Stromboli was good as well, but the rigatoni was definitely better. Even though the server had already asked us which menu we were ordering from and she understood that the meal would be $25/person (there were two of us so the check should be $50+tax) for the lunch restaurant week menu, she presented us with a $75 check as if it was correct and that didn't send off any red flags in her head. So I gave the check back to her and said this is restaurant week and we ordered from the restaurant week menu, why are you trying to charge us full price? She had to call over a manager or someone for help because even though restaurant week had been going on all week I guess they didn't know how to price it on the register machines. This whole ordeal was inconvenient and it made the server look like she didn't know what she was doing. All the food was great but the service became worse and worse as the experience went on.

I love this place and it was my first time at the ATL one!! Truly a good time, it was really busy but me and my friend sat at the bar right away! We tried some seasonal drinks and I had the infamous meatballs!! They were good as always!!

came here for a group dinner so we got set menus. I ordered the chicken scarpariello and it was alright--I didn't know it was served bone-in. there were a lot of potatoes compared to chicken sausage. for dessert I opted for the tiramisu but it was very light on the coffee, more cream than anything

Squid Ink Tonnarelli 8/10. Only 2 shrimp

4 of us stopped in on a Tuesday night after flying in to Atlanta. Service was quick and they did a great job accommodating a food allergy in our group. We got their garlic read appetizer. It was good but wouldn't order it again. I ordered the White Lotus cocktail - amazing. I also ordered the squid ink pasta. It's a little on the spicy side but not too bad. The meal was delicious but disappointed in the amount of shrimp in the dish- there were only 2. I would definitely dine here again if in the area.

Great meal and service. Party of two with reservation and seated upon on time arrival. Our server was excellent. She provided great recommendations. We shared Sicilian meatballs (3). Those were pretty good. I had the spicy rigatoni vodka. It was a great dish -- filling without being too much. I would've wanted a piece of bread though. The old fashioned was a good pour. The brown sugar really came through. Overall great experience.

Came for brunch during Buckhead restaurant week $35 for 3 course lunch. The meatballs were really good, the spicy vodka pasta and the doughnuts. Although, we thought they would have different fillings they were all the same. The service was ok, looked for the waiter a few times and waited awhile for a mocktail. It was a cute restaurant with a chill ambiance ( this was during brunch/lunch) hours but there were gnats that seemed to come out of nowhere. I would go back to try dinner.

Realllyyyyy wanted to like this place because the pictures of the food looked nice and the ambiance was good. However, I did not enjoy my experience here. Sat at the bar for happy hour (happy hour is bar only) and it took us AGES to get our food. We came at 515pm, our food was not even out by the end of happy hour. On top of that, the bartender and other waitresses kept coming over to repeatedly ask us what we've ordered. By the third time, it felt like they were asking to be insensitive. At one point, the waitress avoided eye contact with us because we had been waiting for at least forty five minutes. Everyone around us who had ordered similar had been served so I was confused. When the food finally did come, it was lukewarm as if it had been sitting there for as long as we had been waiting. The meatballs were under seasoned and bland. The pizza was decent but does NOT reheat nicely so don't even bother taking to go. Overall, mid service and food quality.

Jose T.

Tasteless food , cheap ingredients. Ordered a Cesar salad and the lettuce was yellow , then ordered a pizza and was horrible tasteless cheese greasy and the pepperoni tasted horrible . I wouldn't recommend this place for Italian . Costco pizza is better than this .

Great spot, very nice bar area, convenient to all of the shopping. Staff was supper friendly. Recommend!

Our total was $71.60 with tax for 4 drinks. Each drink was about $16. Pros Loved the decor and the drinks were great! Not too much juice and just enough alcohol. Cons $16 a drink can rack up pretty quickly if you're a heavy drinker. Would I Recommend: Yes! Based on the drinks I would definitely recommend this place. This year the drinks were blah, the food was mediocre, the vibe was non-existent, and the service was the bare minimal. I have been to other pop-ups this year and would recommend any of them over this include Rreal Taco down the street or Hamp & Harry's or even just picking up the Grinch Happy Meal at McDonald's. Pros: Parking onsite, Reservations (sort of), friendly host (best part of the experience) and server (but absent), nice decorations. Cons: Expensive, boring drinks, overcooked and poorly plated food, not a lively nor festive vibe, poor communication and customer service. Even though this is the only pop-up pre-charging for their event and it was significantly more than a year ago, we liked having a booked time and it was a great experience previously so we booked in early November, but within an hour of booking, we had to adjust the time via OpenTable to a couple hours later. Faster forward to two days before our booking. Confirmations comes in and we notice it is the old time. Called, left messages, send messages through multiple means. Zero response. Called the next day and finally reached the manager who said that the time we wanted wasn't available even though it was the day before so took a later option at 730. Arrive on time but they don't have a table. While waiting they seat us in another area and offer extras since they are late...but they bring chips and salsa 30 mins after 730 when we were supposed to be seat 10-15 mins after we arrive. No waters or anything. Bring complementary margaritas at 810 but only 4 and there are 6 of us. The waitress was dismissive and there was no one else in the bar when we got there. Finally seated at 830 even though they are timed reservations and said they were going to be asking people to wrap within 15 mins of 730. Food was so basic and slapped on the table. Drinks were not festive at all. Ran out of hot chocolate. No festive cups or anything. It was the most mediocre experience I have had. Skip it!

Unfortunately, not a place we'd return to. Came here for the first time on a Saturday at 6pm with my husband, and surprisingly, we were the only people in the restaurant until about the time we left. Service: 1 star There was plenty of staff, so it was confusing how things still felt so off. Drinks were wrong (I ordered prosecco and was brought white wine), and overall attentiveness just wasn't there. Another disappointment was at the end - my husband paid while I was in the restroom, and when I checked the receipt, I noticed I'd been charged $3 more for the wine. I calmly pointed it out, not even asking for a refund, just to flag it, and the waitress argued with me about it instead of simply acknowledging the mistake. Not a great way to end the night. Drinks: My prosecco mix-up aside, the drinks were just okay. My husband's gin & tonic was fine, but noticeably better ones can be found nearby. (Like our night cap at Yeppa after) Apps: 2 stars * shishito peppers were soggy and overly fried * Caesar salad was heavily dressed and tasted like something you'd get at a diner Entrees: 4 stars * chicken was excellent - well cooked & flavorful. Slaw on the side was a bit random * trout was slightly salty but still very good and cooked perfectly. Skin perfectly crispy & enjoyed the grilled green onion on top. I substituted grilled veggies for the slaw (due to dairy)

The menu seems on the smaller side, but there are a couple of solid options to choose from. I do believe it's kind of overpriced for the portion sizes you receive. I would dine here again, but it'd have to be a very special event.

I love me some cheese in my grits too but that was just overkill because it's also cheese throughout the grits. Also the ribeye? Both my friend and I didn't like ours and we love us a ribeye. Live music started over an hour late, and there's not much standing room, so I'd recommend reserving a table. Now, onto the food.
