What a lovely space. The restaurant is a renovated home so it's immediately warm and welcoming when you enter. We were quickly greeted and sat in a room that was a little more tucked away, something I appreciate since it was a special occasion. We started with a bottle of Sancerre that was at a VERY approachable price point. I believe theirs was around $52. It was up there in term of quality with many $150+ bottles I've had. The charcuterie board was great, everything was fresh and flavorful. The fettuccine we did for dinner tastes like they just made the noodles before it hit the table, perfect texture. The star of the show was the lobster ravioli. Plenty of flavor, rich but not too heavy and a great portion. The service is something I wanted to highlight. Our server Isabella was great. I just wish she had some type of support. She was taking tables on the patio and inside. We noticed this upon entry so I got the entire order ready to make the flow of service easier for her. With her taking multiple tables in various spots throughout the restaurant, it would've been beneficial for management to step in and run her bottle of wine for her. Or have server assistants more present to clear the table for her. Again, I don't fault her. She truly did great with the insane amount of work she had going on, but that style of service isn't sustainable. It's unfair to staff and guests. My friends and I had a 7:45 reservation, and we still had to wait 20-30 mins. We showed up on time as well. What's the point in having a reservation if it is not honored? Inside was cute & had a very romantic vibe. Dim lighting and loudish music. Was also very packed on a saturday night with friends and couples. We started off with the Bread ($3) comes with butter and oil/balsamic. It was just your regular bread. I got the classic linguini ($16) with Garlic Sauce. You can barely taste the garlic & it's more creamy than cheesy. Not much flavor & I wish I tried a different sauce instead. My friend got the Pizzocheri Coi Rapini ($19) which also tasted like nothing. The sauce was very liquidy, so the noodles weren't able to get much flavor. She asked for a garlic sauce on the side to make it taste like something. This mixed together was good. They also added the tip (20%) automatically. We were a group of 5 people, so maybe they do that for larger parties. The service was pretty standard. The bill was a total of $127.71. I probably wouldn't visit again. read more

I have been coming to this restaurant for 20 years as a favorite of mine in the Midtown area. Recently, I had my first visit to their new location. The new place is stunning, classy, and spacious. I miss the small, quaint vibe of the previous location, but I don't think it's really fair to compare the two buildings. I'm happy to see the restaurant still thriving. My service was fantastic, the highlight of my visit. Even the valet was great! My server was friendly and just the right amount of attentive. He was able to give detailed advice on the menu, including the wine and he was spot on. I really appreciate it when a server knows the menu. I enjoyed a dish of Bolognese pasta, a lovely bottle of red wine, sorbetto, and espresso. Honestly, the sorbetto was the star of the show. not only was the presentation lovely, but it was absolutely delicious. The wine that my waiter suggested was a perfect pairing to my pasta and I was very happy with the recommendation. I enjoyed my pasta, but I was a bit disappointed that it did not come out piping hot. Pasta tends to cool down quickly and I wasn't able to enjoy even one bite really hot. For the amount of times I have frequented this restaurant over the years, I'm going to chalk it up to them potentially being really busy this evening as it was New Year's Eve. However, it took away from the meal just a bit. Also, I loved my server, but when he asked if I wanted bread, I second guessed myself and said yes. He never ended up bringing the bread, and I didn't ask again. Will these missteps keep me from coming back to a place that I love? Absolutely wonderful! I would come back here time and time again! Talk about a gem. I came from out of town so I was just looking up places to go and this popped up. Very cute and quaint the ambiance just felt very at home from the cups in the windows to the pictures and stairs in the entryway it felt like I stepped into someone's home. This place has been around for many years so it felt special it felt like I was getting a taste of family tradition. This is such a cute little Italian restaurant tucked away in midtown. The outside is such a charming house and walking inside makes you feel as if you just stepped into an Italian family home. The lighting and vibes inside were also really nice. I came here for lunch, and their menu is small but everything looked good. I haven't been to the new location but I will tell you from the moment I arrived the moment I left I felt completely immersed in a family experience but also given enough space to just enjoy and into that time with my partner. This was our first date night since we married and we were celebrating our first time apart and Jose you made it super special but also gave us the space so just enjoy our time together. More importantly, you're probably wondering about food. We have the chicken ravioli which I've had twice now in the sauce has a little bit of spice and spunk and it is one of the best dishes I've ever tried. Aside from that, we just got their traditional pasta with garlic cream and veggies and it was a perfect addition to the chicken ravioli. We ended with the lemons sorbetto and oh my gosh, it was perfect. Mostly I really enjoyed that. It was a great light refreshing dessert for lunch, but I've also had it for dinner and it's just such a cool concept. I won't tell you too much because I want it to be a surprise. I hate it but this is restaurant became a little bit more modern but considering the circumstances that they have to redo and that they've kept that intimate Family feel, I would definitely give five stars again and again and I look forward to the opportunity of coming back. read more

Firstly, the outside of this place is a cute southern looking home. When you enter, it also feels like you're in someone's house. The ambiance is nice and cozy inside, which is how I felt when I also tasted the food. We tried the bolognese pasta and one of their flatbreads. Delicious!! Attentive staff in the right amount. First, valet parking is $15 but with a small walk you can park at the Moxy Hotel for $6 if you get the restaurant hostess to validate the parking ticket. Now on to the important things. This is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. Prior to COVID I would visit anytime I was in Midtown for business. I hadn't been to the new location until recently. I've been back twice in the last month. Both times met my expectations and memories of those meals from the past. This was the first time I've been able to introduce my wife to the restaurant. I miss the quaintness of the "old house," but this new house is lovely. The interior is fresh, clean, inviting and comfortable. There is ample patio seating also. I consider it an unpretentious quasi-upscale restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful and on top of things. For example, we ordered a Caesar salad to share and Kayla (our server) had the salad divided into two bowls for us. I usually get the Tortelli di Mele (side note, I'm normally a red sauce guy but this ranks up there as one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had). I ventured out tonight and had the Tagliatelle Verde Alla Bolognese. I added mushrooms to the meaty ragu for a small up-charge. They added a nice touch to the hearty ragu. The sauce was a little watery but I did not find it off putting and chalked it up to the large portion of pasta. The spinach tagliatelle was cooked perfectly. My wife ordered the chicken ravioli with spicy cream sauce, which had a hint of spice. The chicken stuffing mixture is soft and tasty. My observation after this latest visit is that you probably can't go wrong with any pasta / entree selection. However, their ravioli are divine pillows of pasta goodness that are unmatched anywhere I know of. I may never venture away from their ravioli again. To put it simply, if a place is known for particular dishes, eat them. Finally my wife was able to experience the place I've been raving about for years, I think it is one of her favorites now too. read more

The menu has a lot of choices, but a lot of entrees had mushrooms which I don't like. I started with a Caesar salad. We also ordered bread for the table at $3, which was good. What I really liked was that the server didn't take our entree order until we were done with our salads. I don't like when my entree is brought while I am still eating my salad so this was perfect. The Caesar salad was very good. For my entree I got the tagliatelle bolognese. The food came quickly and looked great. Was it the best I ever had? No.....but it was ok. I recently came here on a Saturday evening to treat my friend for her birthday. We made a reservation but were late, and the hostess still understood. We were seated within 20 mins, but only after reminding her we were waiting. We were seated on a 4-person table (there were 3 of us) in their first floor dining room. It felt very tight, since we were so close to neighboring customers. Surprisingly the conversation level was not a problem, probably because everyone treats this as a nice place. I got the apple martini and cheese tortellini with grilled chicken. We shared the bruschetta as a starter, and the other 2 girls got the lobster ravioli they shared with me. The mains definitely exceeded my expectations. The appletini was delicious and strong, as well. This was my favorite place to eat when I lived in Atlanta years ago. I was so excited to return and have the dish that I thought of fondly. Their location had moved from a hole in the wall to a more upscale spot but the food was simply awful. The salad was a pear salad with prosciutto and the pears were raw pears on a slab of prosciutto. Then came the pasta. Overcooked drowning in a pool of salty white sauce. I had 2 bites and couldn't finish. The incredible independent pasta place was now akin to Olive Garden at best. New favorite atl restaurant. It's authentic Italian food inside an old home turned restaurant. The prices are very reasonable and all of the food (including the pasta) is made in house fresh daily! Easy free parking behind the restaurant but very few spaces available. It looks like a yellow house that was converted in to a restaurant. We arrived on a Thursday for lunch around 1pm and sat at the bar. The service was great. Food was ok. I'd skip the bread service it was a light and fluffy bread.. maybe focaccia? Anyways, I didn't care for it. I ordered the ravioli di mele. It was sweet and savory but I didn't taste any "apple" def tasted the sage and sausage and the brown butter sauce was very flavorful. I don't like chunks of sausage so maybe that's what turned me off. Would I order it again? Probably not. My man's shrimp linguine with garlic cream sauce lacked flavor and was very runny. This place has been on my list for a while, especially as it's in the heart of Midtown! We made reservations for a Friday birthday dinner for a friend and it was easy to make reservations online. I also appreciated that they allowed us to call and add an additional person to the reservation. Parking is a bit tricky at this spot. You can park at the Moxy hotel and get validation to bring it down to $6, however, it's still a decent walk from the restaurant. Additionally, there was construction the night we came, and it was difficult to find a way to the parking deck. The inside of the restaurant is pretty cool. It's basically a converted home and I loved the upstairs and downstairs seating. We were seated pretty quickly and they were super accommodating as some of our party was late with the parking situation. Our waiter Kayo was super friendly and awesome. He gave a great wine recommendation and walked us through the entire menu. For appetizers, we ordered the charcuterie board, bread service, and a prosciutto and fig flatbread. The bread was delicious and the flatbread might actually be one of the best flatbreads I've had! Their balsamic vinegar and the combination with the figs and prosciutto was beautiful. The charcuterie board was really small (2 meats, a couple slices of cheese, some miniature pickles, jam) and for $30, I was expecting a larger board with more accompaniments. For my main, I decided to order the Lobster Ravioli since it was one of the recommended dishes + a favorite here on Yelp. Unfortunately, it just really fell flat for me. The dish felt cold to me and the cream sauce had started to congeal a little bit. The raviolis themselves you could tell were beautifully handmade, however, the filling felt like just plain lobster and not a lot of other flavor. The cream sauce too was really bland for me. We shared a cheesecake for dessert which was pretty good and a sweet cap to the night. Whether you bring a date or family, the atmosphere will work just fine. Our choices for dinner: Bruschetta: Tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, shiitake mushrooms and eggplant componata on croutons. Crispy Calamari coated in egg white breading, served with tomato caper sauce. Caesar Salad Traditional Caesar dressing with shaved Reggiano and croutons. Chicken Parmigiana, Sauteed lightly breaded chicken cutlet with tomato basil sauce and fresh mozzarella, served with Tortellini Al Pesto. Pork Milanese, Pan roasted breaded bone-in pork chop with roasted potatoes, garlic spinach, grape tomatoes, caper berries and lemon butter sauce. Also we had cheesecake for dessert and Lemon Drop martinis. I will say I have never had capers like this before. They were a little sour but was a nice balance to the meal. The pork chop was nice and juicy. It was more than I could eat in one sitting. All in all the place was lovely and very accommodating.
