    Chicken Pesto Linguine

Disclaimer, I ordered food from Osteria through Uber Eats. I ordered the Chicken Pesto Linguine and the crème brulee cheesecake. The pasta was okay. It was tasty but the flavor was very mild. I felt like I needed some parm or something to add a little more depth to the sauce. Not bad, however. I'm not opposed to visiting the restaurant to try the food fresh. I'm not sure if there will be a difference but because it wasn't a bad dish, I'd try it in person. For the dessert, I could've skipped that one. Crème brulee is my favorite dessert and I love cheesecake so I thought this combination would be amazing. It was a little dry for my taste and there was a bitter after taste that I didn't like.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Really cute neighborhood restaurant with delicious options![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We gathered for my nephews birthday and it was a large party of 11 but we were treated with great service! We started off with appetizers- calamari, fried ravioli, meatballs, and mussels. Everything came out promptly and the perfect temperature. I would give all apps except the mussels a 10/10. the mussels had good flavor but it was in a white wine sauce that seemed slightly too watery. For main course I enjoyed the Chicken Marsala and fettuccini. The marsala was a great flavorful wine mushroom balsamic gravy bathing thin tender chicken cutlets. It paired great with their house Cabernet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had a great time as far as food and ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Opting for an early dinner at Osteria proved to be an excellent decision. While in the area, I decided to give this establishment a try, Upoun arrival, I received a warm greeting and was promptly seated at the bar, as I was dinning solo. Megan took my orders, and I started with the delectable warm bread basket. For the main course, I chose the Tuscan chicken pasta which was crafted with a bold and delightful flavors. As it relate to parking, there's a parking lot behind the restaurant, and across the street. Since the restaurant is located in a walkable community, there's also the option for street parking too. The atmoshphere is family friendly, you can come as you are or with a big party! I look forward to trying some of other entree and holiday specials that's highlighted on the holiday menu

Overall I liked Osteria 832, the service is quick, the food was pretty good, the portions are large, and it's reasonably priced! There's also free parking in the back which is great. I got the gorgozola fettuccine and liked it although it truly did have a very strong gorgonzola taste, which was a little overpowering at times, but I'm sure other people might love this!

Ten to fifteen years ago, we loved going to Osteria 832 for brunch. Their veggie sausage and mascarpone/fruit compote were out of this world delicious. My husband loves Italian food, so we decided to drop in for a Father's Day dinner. We were sat right away and there was plenty of seating available. Nothing memorable about the service, but that's fine. Here's where the disappointments lie: - husband's cocktail was served up with a gnat swimming in it. Not a gigantic deal, but we did ask to swap for new cocktail. In fact, there were a lot of gnats flying throughout the dining room. Perhaps typical for summertime and just from leaving windows/doors open? -husband loves chicken Parmesan and we've done a pretty decent tour around the city to taste the best chicken parm. Let me tell you without hesitation, this ain't it. Unless you like chicken tenders with forgettable spaghetti and sauce. -meatball app was okay. Heavier on the veal. Two slices of focaccia seemed a bit stingy for three meatballs and sauce sopping. -rigatoni and bolognese was abysmal. Bolognese sauce was destroyed by nutmeg or cinnamon and I couldn't taste anything beyond it. -kid's Mac and cheese was fine. A level above boxed Kraft, but it was pretty watery. The kid's menu was a printed paper with areas to color, but we weren't provided with any crayons. Maybe they were out? Ultimately, I love the memories I had there and happy to see brunch is returning soon, but as the saying goes sometimes, you can't go home again.

Osteria is now open for brunch! We were impressed by the breadth of their new brunch menu, including several cocktails, benedicts, and breakfast pizza. Our food was good and our server was particularly attentive. Can't wait to return and try the lemon ricotta pancakes or the French toast.

I put in the notes of my reservation that it was my birthday and everyone stopped by my table and greeted me with a warm happy birthday. That was a really nice touch. My waitress offered me a free glass of champagne for my birthday and I definitely wasn't gonna turn that down. I got the veal meatballs as my appetizer. I love that they were weren't heavy and dense. They were very light and delicious. I also chose the chopped salad, but I wanted it to come out with my entrée. The chopped salad was good. Had pepper notes to it. The only thing I would do next time is ask for it not to be green peas in it. Just because I'm not a fan. For my entrée I got the cannelloni. The lamb shoulder inside was so tender. It was very cheesy and delicious. It also had green peas in it, which I didn't pay attention to on the menu. I would also ask for there not to be green peas in the kennel only again that's just my taste. But that did not stop me from eating it all. I also had the blood orange margarita which was really good. This was my first time at this restaurant, but it definitely will not be the last. I loved the vibe of the restaurant.

For the pasta, I got the the tortelli de vitello which was so good. Some of us at the table also tried the shrimp linguine which was delicious and so fresh as well as the chicken parm which was MASSIVE and came with a great side of pasta. We also tried the little pasta shells/ears with sausage and broccolini and it was delish. Truly these dishes were stunning and cannot wait to have it again! Free small parking lot in front. Free extra parking across the street. The total was about $150 for 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 drinks, and a dessert. Pros The quiet, intimate, and classy atmosphere was exactly what I needed for my family. When we first arrived, our table was not ready and we had to wait outside. However we were given continuous updates on when the table would be ready, they apologized, and they were very understanding. Considering we were a large party in an intimate space, we understood and only waited about 20 minutes before the table was ready. You could tell the food was fresh, the orders came fast, and the service was amazing. The fresh in house pasta took everything to the next level. It was the perfect night out. Cons The establishment is intimate so I do not think it would ideal for extra large parties. I had a party of 8 at 8PM but I dont know if they could have accomodated us if it was any earlier during prime dinner time. I wish they had a better parking situation but its not bad and its free. However the server we had tonight was one of the worst experiences I've had especially for a place that is trying to sell an upscale dining environment he greeted the table by saying (after we asked how he was doing) "I'm doing f-ing horrible I'm tired and feel like sh*t we had such a busy night last night" he was not very knowledgeable about menu or drinks and his overall appearance gave very much unhygienic he also forgot to put in our food order so we waited double the time and said that since we already had appetizers and the other table did not have any food that we could wait to order food, also just assumed how someone in my group wanted there steak cooked so had to wait for that to be redone, he was all over the place and did not check in on us very often we needed things like refills or salt pepper etc. and went without because bad service I don't think he should have been working he obviously did not want to be there he also failed to mention that the kitchen was closing so we did not get to try the desserts. There were a couple of other things but don't want a 5 page review I cannot remember his name but a taller white guy with a messy bun and tired eyes. We still left a tip because that's what you do when you go out but if he treated his other tables like he did us I wouldn't be surprised if we were the only ones that tipped. I suggest not going on a busy night to get good service I guess.
