I went with the intentions of trying the viral chicken, Caesar salad wrap, and I was not disappointed at all! The menu is small, however from the amount of people that were in and out, even just ordering to go, I can tell everything is good! The seating is majority bar like seating with a few outdoor tables! We got here when it first opened and service was fast and efficient ! I would definitely suggest to get the wrap and the fries with the truffle added, and they even have the Coke in a bottle ! You just have to try it!

The TikTok algorithm put the chicken parm sandwich on my feed and it was everything I thought it would be. Their breading is so crispy and delicious, fries were perfect, they had a frozen marg special and that was delicious and strong. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and of course I gotta say the branding of everything is super cute. I'll be back

Very low-key, super in the cut, giving off a vibe of "if you know you know", this is the kind of place that you only take your best friends and you tell them not to put anybody else on because it's so good and people would ruin the spot for me if it was ever discovered.

I came here for dinner with some friends! Small fry (like the name) is tiny!! But luckily we were able to sit at some tables outside in the main Dairies area. We ordered at the counter and the staff was super nice, especially when they were out of certain things. I got the fish cake Sando as well polenta sticks to share and the MPC (pina colada) drink. The polenta sticks were so delicious!! The sandwich too was excellent and a great portion. The drink was not my favorite but I thought the flavors were very unique. Overall, really cool spot and can't wait to see more stuff come out on the menu!

I was SOOOO excited to try this place! It's a super cute chic little cafe type vibe but for burgers, sandwiches and wings. The guys inside are so kind, and the women working there are sweet too! You can see them cooking your food, there are bar stools inside and tables on the outside, it's gives me a retro feel i love it! The chicken on the sandwich was fried to absolute perfection but had no seasoning :/ the pesto was a great addition to the sandwich. The burrata is all based on preference and the vodka was a great consistency but also lacking in flavor. The pesto added a punch that the sandwich needed. The fries were extraordinary, crunchy, shoestring goodness! i WILL be back to try the wings and the smash burger. There's great potential, but the vodka parm may be too much on a first date LOL.

Stopped in here before a concert at The Eastern. Usually places like this... near a concert, attached to a hip apartment building, are terrible. Totally different. Service was pretty fast despite the crowd, food came out quick. Mussels were absolutely massive (as was the serving size), perfectly cooked, lots of fresh garlic, sauce was spicy without being too blazing hot, and extremely well-priced despite being Atlanta and in a hip area and next to a concert venue. Wish I could get it this good in Charleston! I know the draw here is the fried foods but I wanted something lighter and glad I picked Small Fry. Desserts looked awesome too, but trying to watch my calories tonight. J.Ja

Yay for more places opening up around the Atlanta dairies!! Small fry is adorable. Warning it's a small spot so we opted for to go and just sat in the courtyard which was a grab vibe and they do let you take your drinks to go... I got the MPC to drink which my one complaint was too much coconut crème but it was still good. I wanted the watermelon cooler but they were out. We got some of the polenta sticks also which were delicious and covered in parm. I got the fish cake sandwich to eat and wow. Maybe not the best comparison but take a filet o fish and like upscale it by 100. Stunning. Well seasoned and a great blend of fish. The fries were the best I love the shoe string and well seasoned with a hefty portion Delicious meal and hope it gets more popular!!

    Chicken Caesar Wrap

Let me start by saying that I fear Philadelphia has ruined how I enjoy sandwiches, wraps, gyros, hoagies, you name it, for possibly as long as I live. So, I was looking forward to trying Small Fry after stumbling upon their IG a few weeks ago because I love chicken Caesar wraps and haven't had a decent one in years - thanks Atlanta! (Not a decent hoagie either, for that matter.) And the CCW is one of their most promoted items. Well, I was in the neighborhood, starving, and said "omg today's the day." Dragged my friend to Small Fry and he ordered the Vodka Parm, and I, the CCW, of course. We decided to share his fries. Small Fry uses balsamic chicken in their CCW which was intriguing to me. It is very forward in the wrap, which I didn't mind - it's a nice flavor with the red onions + sourdough croutons. However, my main gripe (and it's a major gripe) is that there is little to no Caesar dressing in the wrap. To the point that I thought MAYBE they forgot to add it? I included photos of wrap and you let me know if you think any Caesar dressing was present. My main issue is that it's a *Caesar* chicken wrap, so why would I have to question whether Caesar is included? I had to ask for TWO extra dipping cups of dressing and did feel judged by the servers but I'll let the pics speak for themselves. They also charged a $1 extra for the side of dressing but I want yall to be real with yourselves about why the romaine lettuce is not noticeably tossed in the Caesar dressing before wrapping. By the way, the chicken is cold. (Just in case you were thinking it's fresh off the grill.) Anyway. My friend gave his vodka parm a 6.8/10. He said the vodka sauce was the highlight. The fries are tasty but very thin and crispy, so you have to eat them while hot or they lose their appeal. A few FYIs: Indoor seating is limited and it's only bar seating. There are tables outside but we all know the heat has been unbearable this summer so keep this in mind. Public Parking garage available, 2 hrs for $8, etc. The vibe is relaxed, casual, modern, and the music is nice. Everybody there is minding their business and just grabbing a quick bite. Takeout seems common here. All in with 20% tip, the bill came to $50 which is a little steep [for sandwiches] to not be blown away. I'd like to come back to try the burger or the fish sando but I can't say I'll be running back.

Small Fry is such a vibe! It's a small space but don't let that fool you because this place is special. They only have bar seating throughout the restaurant. They offer handhelds sandwiches, fried platter baskets and other more known Italian dishes. They also had a wonderful cocktail menu though we didn't partake this time around. From the decor to food, this place is it. I ordered the wedge salad (which was big enough to share between 2-3 people) and a side of truffle fries. The salad was beautifully presented and my favorite was the crunch bits of pepperoni? The fries were fried to perfection but added with the truffle oil was chef's kiss. The staff checked in on us throughout and were very friendly. I can't wait to come back here for more!

We got the vodka parm sandwich (paid an extra $1 to make it spicy) and the chicken caesar wrap with fried chicken. Literally 1000/10 everything was SO good and the fries were some of the best I've ever had. Can't wait to come back!

I wanted to like this place.Went on a Saturday at bit before seven when there was a concert at the Eastern, but there was still room at the small bar to sit. Service was relatively quick to get my drink, which was basically a take on a gin and tonic. Drink was fine and about normal price for a cocktail in the area. Food, on the other hand....I decided to get a hot dog (they fry them, so they call them rippers on the menu). 8 bucks for a Nathan's and a basket of fries, but okay, it is a restaurant and not a hot dog cart. Onions are a dollar extra (and the only extra topping listed). Fine, I guess. Maybe they're the Sabrett onions since you're doing a ripper style. Combining the open kitchen staff as well as the bartender/servers/manager, there were about equal numbers of customers as staff. There weren't a ton of online takeout orders being set up that I could see, and only about four other people ordered some fries while I was there. And it still took an hour for the hot dog to get to me. Only condiments on the table are ketchup, malt vinegar, and hot sauce (Fierelli), and the server walked off before I could even ask if they had mustard (looks like it is an option on the online menu) or napkins. I searched the bar and found the one napkin dispenser around the corner, grabbed the last two that were in the dispenser, and went back to my seat. Nobody came by, so I went on and ate my hot dog with a little bit of hot sauce. It was fine, but for a regular-sized hot dog that's already eight bucks, a few thin sliced onions for a dollar extra seems kind of a lot. The fries are fine. They're on with the beef tallow trend, if you or someone with you is vegetarian, you're SOL (It looks like there is an option on the online menu to say no beef tallow, but that would be a nice thing to check with when taking the order or list on the physical menu). They basically taste like McDonald's fries with some pepper on them. Some people love that, but I was underwhelmed. There's also an add-on option for truffle oil and parm because of course there is. I want to be clear that the staff were actually nice and friendly -- Nobody was rude in the least -- but things just took forever. Maybe I got there after a big rush and there were some things they had to handle. When I sat down, some folks next to me were getting their burgers, and the burger did look good. And, my drink was pretty good as well. I'll probably give the place another shot and try something else since it's so close, but I won't be in a rush.

We did arrive here a bit early for our reservation but were seated right next to the open kitchen, so it felt quite crowded and cramped. It's a very, very small restaurant and it was freezing where we sat because we were under the vents. Our server, Mary Catherine, was a treat and she took good care of us. She took our drink orders, though I didn't drink tonight. For appetizers, we started with the calamari and stuffed clams. They also offered complementary bread and olive oil basket that was served warm, yum! Our food orders came out pretty fast actually. The calamari was not your typical fried calamari - it was delicious and loved the mix of raw onions in it for that fresh bite. I'm not a fan of clams so I didn't try this, but heard it was just breading and can't really taste the clam taste. For my entree, I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro with meatballs. I had been dreaming about this since making the reservations and it did not disappoint. The pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce was wonderful. I did think the meatballs were a tad too salty for my taste and I'm glad I opted out of the freshly grated parm because I feel like that would have made everything saltier. After our meal, they brought out free dessert for the birthday celebrants. Nothing but raves were said after our dinner here and we're definitely looking forward to coming back here again.

For starters, we shared the eggplant balls (a must get here!) and the bread service. The eggplant balls were definitely shareable and were probably our favorite thing we ate. The bread service you could probably skip - we wish it was served with vinegar instead of just oil and an olive tapenade. For entrees, I ordered one of the dinner specials, grilled branzino served with broccolini and potatoes. My husband ordered the ravioli. I really enjoyed the branzino, it was tender and the skin was cooked crispy. I loved that the broccolini was charred enough, but wish the potatoes were cooked a bit more. The capers added the needed saltiness to the dish, though I wish this was served with lemon or something to balance out the flavors. My husband enjoyed his ravioli but found it too heavy with the cream sauce. We thought this was a decent place for dinner, but nothing really stood out besides the eggplant balls.

However the server we had tonight was one of the worst experiences I've had especially for a place that is trying to sell an upscale dining environment he greeted the table by saying (after we asked how he was doing) "I'm doing f-ing horrible I'm tired and feel like sh*t we had such a busy night last night" he was not very knowledgeable about menu or drinks and his overall appearance gave very much unhygienic he also forgot to put in our food order so we waited double the time and said that since we already had appetizers and the other table did not have any food that we could wait to order food, also just assumed how someone in my group wanted there steak cooked so had to wait for that to be redone, he was all over the place and did not check in on us very often we needed things like refills or salt pepper etc. and went without because bad service I don't think he should have been working he obviously did not want to be there he also failed to mention that the kitchen was closing so we did not get to try the desserts. There were a couple of other things but don't want a 5 page review I cannot remember his name but a taller white guy with a messy bun and tired eyes. We still left a tip because that's what you do when you go out but if he treated his other tables like he did us I wouldn't be surprised if we were the only ones that tipped. I suggest not going on a busy night to get good service I guess. My group was 4 ppl 2 couples trying to enjoy a nice double date without the craziness of v-day next time we will celebrate days before. Will for sure be going back and hope you give them a try but if that's how the waiter greets himself please go ahead and ask for a different server!!!!

Finally got around to trying this place after it was recommended to me multiple times since 2021. I…read moredon't know why it took me so long to this place is worth it. The service was 10/10. The ambiance is cute. The bread service is some of the best I've ever had. And the cocktails are fire. Had the lemon chicken at the advice of our waitress and it was incredible. The pasta was great. Cesar salad solid. Wine list strong. Can't say enough.

Something has completely changed about this spot. It used to be one of my favorites, a nice moderately priced sit-down Italian restaurant tucked away in downtown Decatur. Maybe they've grown too big for their britches as we southerners say, but this most recent visit was likely my last. Staff attitudes were terrible, the execution of the food was a joke. My siblings and I had hyped this restaurant up to our mom and thought she would enjoyed being wined and dined. We arrived admittedly about 10 minutes after our reservation time (thanks to the city of Decatur's hostile parking policies), after attempting to call the restaurant and let them know we were circling the building. I say attempting because the number rings straight to an AI voice that doesn't allow you to speak once it asks you a question. I even tried sending messages through the OpenTable app. Either way, the restaurant claims you have a 15 minute grace period. Once we finally walked inside, my sister leaned over and whispered that their posted food inspection score was a low B. We exchanged glances but figured maybe they were inspected on an off day. The host (once she finally stopped avoiding eye contact with us) spontaneously let us know that since we weren't on time, we would be "getting a table in the back by the kitchen". What an odd policy to announce to your patrons that you're going to be punishing them with bad seating. The table was indeed by the kitchen but given how many tables this restaurant has tried to cram into the dining room, none of them are spectacular. I looked around and saw folks at tables bumping into the ones next to them, that's how tightly everyone is seated. Our server was friendly enough, and was able to recommend some good dishes. Word to the wise, while they bring bread to the table, it's one half-slice per person. We learned the hard way (because our server never mentioned it) that asking for more bread (the exact same amount as before mind you) is $7. You could buy a freshly baked loaf for that price. The actual food was fine, not bad but nothing like we've had in the past. It arrived fairly quickly. Where the dinner continued nosediving was when my sister, after seeing that we all had ordered small side dishes of pasta, decided she'd like to order some as well. By small side dish, I mean a fistful in a soup cup. I add that detail because when she asked the server, the server stated it would be AT LEAST a 20 minute wait. We asked her to repeat herself because surely we heard that wrong, right? 20 minutes for spaghetti?! She left for a few minutes, then came back and said her manager confirmed that even if she asked the kitchen to rush it, the soonest would be 18 minutes. You see a pattern here right? This restaurant seems like they relish letting their customers know who's in charge...and here's a hint reader, it's not you. Where the evening actually became appalling was a result of our closeness to the kitchen. They have a sous chef working dining room-adjacent doing the final dish prep before the food is picked up by the runners. I know kitchens usually don't utilize gloves (the whole, hands can be frequently washed but the same pair of gloves will touch multiple surfaces thing). However this gentleman unabashedly practiced some of the worst cross contamination practices I've ever seen. He'd grabbed fistfuls of Parmesan cheese to garnish a plate, then reach in his pocket for his phone. Then he'd arrange leaves of lettuce for salad, then TOUCH HIS HAIR. We watched him on two occasions have, either family friends or familiar patrons, walk up to him excitedly and he'd hug them and shake their hands and pat their shoulders, and once done would immediately grab forks and knives and spoons by their business ends, squeeze lemons, slice bread, fist the cheese container....absolutely disgusting and completely explains the health inspection score. If anything it should have been lower. We were only 5 feet away from the guy and he made eye contact with us several times so it's not like he was embarrassed. A long haired woman came over a few times and did the same as him, though she did put black gloves on once or twice. To top it off, once we received the check was we saw plenty of upcharges and surcharges that our server neglected to tell us she would be adding, so her tip reflected her oversight. To wrap it up, not only is the service and food not worth the price, but this place is actually unhygienic. Unless they change their practices, you're eating here at your own risk. Wish Yelp was like IG and I could @ the health department....
